Religion, just in general, has always said that there was something else out there, something bigger than us, something that affects us even tho we can't see it.

Science now, with it's dark matter/dark energy search, says that there is something else out there, something bigger than us, something that affects us even tho we can't see it.

I'm curious how the atheistic mind relates the two.
