People in remote villages.

Asume they have never heard the old or new testament and have never been visited by missionaries, and never will.

But they are able to perceive the existence of God based on His invisible attributes in the created world, as says Romans 1:20.

In the next Chapter of Romans, verses 14-15 says that when gentiles, despite not having the law, do what the law requires, show that it is written on their hearts.

Does this mean that people who have never heard of Jesus will be in heaven?

In one sense, this would be consistent with God's loving nature, but in another, God could have easily placed these people in Alabama or Paris where they could hear the gospel of Jesus' death and resurrection, instead of the jungles of Congo.

We know that God is righteous. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I'm worried. I want to understand every single word of the bible.
Sharp, that makes you a cool dude. Everyone who wants to understand the Bible shows a great amounth of respect for Him. I admire that in any person! I want to understand too.

Worrying is not good though. God said we should trust Him. I do, so I don't worry about this issue... I have difficulties enough with my own relation with God :)

God bless you!

For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. (Rom. 2:12-16 NKJV)

Can people be accepted into heaven without hearing the gospel? Yes.

The Lord reaches out to each of us. All we have to do is accept him. John 3:16 will tell you that. If you’ve never heard of Jesus, then you might not call him Jesus, but a rose by any other name still smells the same. Right?

God has a plan for all things and for all people, whether they be saved or unsaved. I'm not going to venture to say what that plan is except that which is found in the Gospels and in Revelation. See John 9:1-3. There is a plan for all people - even those in suffering and in darkness. Unless anything spiritual or theological can be proven from the Scriptures I am generally undecided on whether to believe it or not.

Some people might want their dogs to enter into the Kingdom of God with them, but I don't see it in the Scriptures. Some people like to think all of the unsaved who never knew the Triune God (but simply of a god) will get a free pass into the Kingdom of God. But, again, Jesus is the way. If you can prove through some eschatological means that such people will be given a chance to believe in the Gospel, then you'd have a point to make. Otherwise, I just don't see it and no amount of me wanting it to be true can make it true.

Two things.
First, the God who revealed Himself to Abraham and Moses is still able to reveal Himself. the recepient may not ever have a fully formed theology, but their faith in god is faith in Jesus and they are saved by a Name they do not know.
Second, this would be the exeption, because Biblically where people seek God, God sends a witness.

People are not lost because they have never heard. They are lost because they are in sin. Many people will be lost who have heard because they refuse to believe and repent.

The church has the burden of taking the gospel to the whole world... to every creature.

I think everybody knows it is wrong to steal, murder, rape, lie, etc...like God said, it is written in our hearts. Even people in remote villages have these same sensibilities and know fundamentally it's best to treat others as you want to be treated.

I think that people are lost because they reject the gift of eternal life.

Right, Slepsog. It seems curious to me why we should spread the Gospel if people can simply be saved some other way. Doesn't the Bible say that the world will be blessed through the Jews? I can't remember. At any rate, that seems fairly localized. People sinned. Because we disobeyed God it's not our right to have eternal fellowship with him. It's our privilege. The more that spread the Gospel the better.

Maybe as Christians, we should strive to do what we can to bring the Word to these remote locations...if it's what you are called to do. Me, God made me incompatible with snakes, so I'm going to stay out of remote part of nature just to be safe ;)

Only those who have HEARD about Jesus, thus having the opportunity to make a CHOICE, can be given the CHANCE to go to Heaven. By that I mean true repentance and turning away from sin.
Jesus will not return until everyone, who has the ability to MAKE a choice, HEARS IT and makes either a choice for Jesus or to reject him.
In the days of television and internet, it's not hard to see how close we are to the end...It's happening, my friends. The more we share his love, the closer we are to His return!

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If people can be saved that have never heard the gospel then what's the point of missions? Alot of christians have died when it wasn't neccasary. The truth of the matter is if you are worried about people in the congo, people in remote places who have never heard then GO! Don't sit on CC and try to find some loophole in the scriptures to give your consience rest.

There is no other name under heaven..

The God that the Bible shows -- he sends people to hell. It is heart breaking -- but I'm not God -- I could never even fathom the way God does things. Romans 9--He has mercy on those He chooses to have mercy on -- obedience to God is to go tell everyone about Jesus and Have God teach us how to love. If you are saved -- this whole post you put up --- you should be so grateful God has chosen you -- and I encourage you to go where your heart feels led to go -- that would be God placing the burden on your heart.

as a mom -- I have the burden to teach my children about God and who ever is around them. I really look forward to taking them on mission trips here in the city --and maybe God will bless us when they're older and we can see other countries.

remember God doesn't think like us --- that's why our flesh fights the very existence of him and his ways --he is the exact opposite of us.

I don't think we will know for sure but I think God will give everyone a chance. If He doesn't, then that leaves room for people to say that God is not just. So I'm sure they will all hear it, perhaps?

Rom 10:13-15 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

The question in blue is the question that should be answered. This should be the focus of our obedience. Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature / Mk 16:15. If we do this we will be assured that when they believe upon the name of the Lord through our word / Jn 17:20, they will have a place reserved in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ / 1Pt 1:4. No if, ands or buts about it. Shall we obey and go and preach?
