9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

We have to calculate the end result, not interprate letter by letter.
They think they do.

What is worship God?
Worship God is follow His command

The out come is they aren't worship God

One of the definition of worship that I think fit to God definition is

3: extravagant respect or admiration for or devotion to an object of esteem
there's always an element of subjectivity in any interpretation, imo.

to be fair, though, if a person is going to interpret the scriptures that loosely, wouldn't it be fair then to also interpret CCC 841 and the lumen gentium just as loosely?

Do you see what I'm saying?

Like I say before criminal must have 2 element actus reus and mens rea. ( guilty action and guilty mind)
For the purpose of interprate the bible, we focus oN mens rea.

For Example, adultery. In God perpective, you do not need to have sex with woman other than your wife, but If you see pretty woman and lust, It is consider adultery.

Ccc 841 not only actus reus, how muslim that don't believe true God (true God is trinity) adore mankind judge oN the last time.
And there is mens rea element here, try to Lie to muslim, to help catholic to build the antichrist religion/ one world religion

well, using the loose method of interpretation,
CCC 841 is just saying that Muslims only think that they adore the true God.

You say oN post 1885 that Daniel wrote that book before 500 bc
Than in this post you say that some of what he wrote happen after 500 bc, so Daniel wrote about the future
I propose the 4th beast in Daniel 7 is the Roman Republic.

The 10 horns are the Tribune of the Plebs,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribune_of_the_plebs

The three horns which are uprooted by the little horn are the first triumivrate.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Triumvirate

Although Caesar was murdered in 44BC this action gave rise to the second triumvirate in 43 BC, and gave forth to a repeat of the little horn uprooting three horns.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Triumvirate

Most or all of the members of the first and second triumvirate were either Plebians or favorable to the Plebs or Plebians such as Julius Caesar, Pompey, Crassus, Augustus Caesar, Mark Anthony

So it all fits that the little horn (Caesar) rose up from the three horns (triumvirates) and the 10 horns (tribune of the plebs)

Therefore the little horn is the rise of the Roman Emperor.

Julius Caesar was the first Roman Emperor and he changed the Laws https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_reforms_of_Julius_Caesar

Juilus Caesar was the first Roman Emperor and he changed the Times https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_calendar

Fulfillments of Daniel 7: 25

All fits like a hand to a glove.

Christians disagree on the nature of God.
Paul says in 1Cor 13:
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

No-one has perfect knowledge of God. If we accuses Muslims of worshipping a false God because they differ from our understanding then by the same argument we worship a false God.

It is the little horn (Roman Emperors) that Brought destruction on Jews in Jerusalem during the 7 year Roman-Jewish War. Vespasian was a Roman general that led the offensive against the jewish rebellion in the Judaea provice. Vespasian then went on to serve as Roman Emperor (little horn). His son Titus then besieged the Jerusalum and destroyed the city, and the sanctuary and ended sacrifices. Titus then also went on to serve as Roman Emperor (little horn).

Daniel 9:26 and Daniel 9:27 were fulfilled with the First Roman Jewish War.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish–Roman_wars#First_Jewish–Roman_War

After the First Roman Jewish War (seven year tribulation), additonal Desolations conducted by the little horn (Roman Emperors)

little horn Roman Emperor Hadrian (emperor 117–138 CE) attempted to completely root out Judaism, which he saw as the cause of continuous rebellions. He prohibited the Torah and the Hebrew calendar and executed Judaic scholars. The sacred scroll was ceremonially burned on the Temple Mount. At the former Temple sanctuary he installed two statues, one of Jupiter, another of himself. In an attempt to erase any memory of Judea or Ancient Israel, he wiped the name off the map and replaced it with Syria Palaestina, supplanting earlier terms, such as Judaea. Similarly, he re-established Jerusalem, this time as the Roman polis of Aelia Capitolina, and Jews were barred from entering the city, except on the fast day of Tisha B'Av.[35]

The Jewish–Roman wars had a dramatic impact on the Jews, turning them from a major population in the Eastern Mediterranean into a scattered and persecuted minority. The Jewish–Roman wars are often cited as a disaster to Jewish society.[11] The defeat of the Jewish revolts altered the Jewish population and enhanced the importance of Jewish diaspora.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish–Roman_wars#Bar_Kokhba_Revolt

The Jewish diaspora (Hebrew: תְּפוּצָה‎, romanized: tfutza) or exile (Hebrew: גָּלוּת galut; Yiddish: golus)[N 1] refers to the dispersion of Israelites or Jews out of their ancestral homeland (the Land of Israel) and their subsequent settlement in other parts of the globe.

Daniel 9:26-27 has been fulfilled.

Daniel 9:26-27 has been fulfilled.
Interesting that they saw a man that fit their expectations and called him the messiah. That they followed a false messiah of their own choosing who lead them to the destruction that they were warned about by the Word they were given by the Prophets and the Word that dwelled among them in person.

that's an interesting observation!

since we only have partial knowledge, it doesn't make sense to demand that other people, especially other Christians, describe God in exactly the same terms that we use.

OP...protestants came out of the catholic church as they were PROTESTING against some of the corrupt practices that had become tradtions at the time like indulgences.

do some research of church history and you will find out that sort of thing.
as with many protests, the by then powerful and institutionalised church heirarchy wouldnt listen and so the protestants broke away from catholicism and boycotted the RCC.

some did stay and try to REFORM the RCC church but it didnt really work. Cut to last century and there was a big thing called Vatican 2 in which RCC worshippers could finally worship in their own langauges (not just in latin) and people started realising what the Bible really said as they were reading it for themselves. For centuries it used to be only in latin that people could barely understand and the RCC would crack down on any 'unofficial' translation.

do both lead to salvation well no
Only Jesus can lead to salvation, in both catholicsm and protestantism people put up obstacles and rituals and barriers to fully knowing God, cos both religions are man made. many of the religous things both catholics and proestants do are actually a distraction.

the other thing is the way its always presented as a debate. This is hundreds of years after the first schism.

I think if you can find God despite all this then its best, because when you are born again catholic and protestant distinctions do not even matter and do not even count. You are BORN AGAIN.

charismatic renewals/revivald actually did happen in both catholic and protestant churches so it shows God can reach out to both, to bring believers in Him together.

I think that's really interesting, is that from Wikipedia too?
Yes!

And this historical info is corroborated here:
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Hadrian

"Hadrian made several efforts to Romanize the Jewish province of Judaea, sparking a widespread Jewish revolt in 132 CE under Bar Kokhba. Despite initial successes, the insurgents were eventually defeated by a scorched-earth campaign that ravaged the province. Hadrian punished Judaea’s Jewish population with laws aimed at eradicating the people and their religion. Learn more."

I contend that this is one of the desolations prophesied in Daniel 9:26

Do you realise that that calling the Catholic Church (CC) the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) was a pejorative term invented by Protestants at the Reformation and therefore not only incorrect but insulting (though we are used to being insulted :) ) ?

BTW the claim that for centuries the Bible was only in latin is completely untrue.

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Those who do not know Him and are not known by Him worship a false god.

Depart from me I never knew you.....

The first known occurrence of "Roman Catholic" as a synonym for "Catholic Church" was in communication with the Armenian Apostolic Church in 1208, after the East–West Schism... long before the Reformation.
