so the gentiles did not benefit from the Holy Spirit coming on them the way the Apostles received? Even though Peter said they received Just as we have. Why were they given the Holy Spirit for a show? Peter was already preaching to them in obedience to Jesus The Holy Spirit did not have to fall.

When Jesus said in ACTS 1:8 " You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses"
The gentiles who received the same Power the Apostles did but did not get power to be a witness?

rediculous.
Gentiles were SAVED when they recieved the Holy Spirit .

You are not seeing that the Gifts are of the Holy Spirit all of them. all gifts are sign gifts

they are vocal three, power three, knowledge three. They are all given to the Church.
No ,in the context of this op ,the' sign' Gifts are those mentioned in Mark 16.
17And THESE SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.7

Today, no one is saved until they recieve the Holy Spirit. ' initial evidence as taught by some churches today is nonsense. Its a sign to Jews .

FYI,

These signs shall follow them that Believe. is the context of preaching the Gospel and evangelism yes but in the new birth of the "Church" which had not happened yet Jesus said in Acts 1:8 His last words recorded as saying to the Apostles

" You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you." They were already saved, and they had already had signs following them before Jesus' ven was Crucified when HE sent them out two by two. The gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1cor chapter s 12 to 14 are what I talking about and as far as those signs following them that believe they happen today also.

You saying it is nonsense pales to your tongues as proof of salvation to the gentiles.

You say the initial evidence is nonsense yet you say the gentiles were saved because they spoke in tongues which was a sign to Peter they were saved LOL.

Evident of this.
Acts 11
17Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18¶When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Read the verses prior . The whole point is God transitioning to the gentiles, and this is the pivotal point with Cornelius. The ' evidence 'is for Peter and the rest . Not Cornelius.( Sign = tongues .)

Salvation comes through hearing the gospel, believing the gospel, and then being sealed by God the Holy Spirit, your claim above would be in error

Ephesians 1:13KJV
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

//Holy Spirit enables them to do// What do you mean ? Irresistible grace ? Do you mean they recieve the Holy Spirit prior to believing?
