well I dont have kids but the ones who I give to know its from me (and I give all year round)

though some workplaces try and do a secret santa thing but I dont have a lot of time to go shopping I always thought that was a bit of a farce lol.

Plus how many people are you meant to give gifts to, if you have a big family you going to end up broke.

They secretly slip into the church, into your house, kind of like Santa coming down the chimney. They try to pervert the grace of God to materialism so that your prayers become a list of things you want from God, like the letter they write to Santa. They have parties that become a license for immorality. And they deny Jesus Christ, X'ing out His name.

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

A scoffer refers to scorn, mocks or derides. For example, look at post #202, that is what it means to deride.

What is the desire behind all of the mythology in Christmas with the tree, stockings, and Santa? It is ungodly. It is also divisive. There are those who want to be absolute for the Lord, to follow the apostles fellowship and they are attacked, mocked and ridiculed because they don't adopt these pagan practices that have their origin in idolatry.

St nicolas (the original) just put gifts to poor children in sacks by their fireplace. I doubt they had any trees.

They would have been too poor, but they may have had stacks of firewood.

maybe coal sacks. You have to remeber that children were the poorest of the poor, they could hardly earn enough to eat themselves. though child labour was rife in the past centuries, where they would go up and clean chimneys (and die of soot poisoning)

I have already posted on this, they brought the tree in on the solstice and decorated it and then three days later they celebrated the birth of their God which supposedly rose from the dead to become a god at that time.

But here, some children cant afford shoes...they are expensive and because their feet keep growing parents have to keep buying new ones. So if you see a lot of children running round barefoot thats the reason.

False Prophets

2. Balaam taught the word of God for a profit. The entire Christmas program is all about making a profit, selling junk and merchandise which our brother David has already pointed out was the key description of Babylon.

3. Korah had a rebellion against Moses, against the law, against the Bible. He said "Hey, why do we need to listen to you". Exactly what all these pro Christmas tree pushing "Christians" are saying.
