How about this verse

Ezekiel 13:8-16
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Therefore, thus says the Lord God, “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, I am against you,” declares the Lord God. [SUP]9 [/SUP]“So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord God. [SUP]10 [/SUP]It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash; [SUP]11 [/SUP]so tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ‘Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?’” [SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore, thus says the Lord God, “I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath. [SUP]14 [/SUP]So I will tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. And you will know that I am the Lord. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Thus I will spend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I will say to you, ‘The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone, [SUP]16 [/SUP]along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,’ declares the Lord God.

I suppose that you don't believe that God called men hailstones in this verse.

You'll be able to, as long as you've stored up riches in heaven.
I don't believe this to be an actual city here on earth. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

You're funny. Do you realize how big that would be. If we live to see this city, you know, an actual city that meets this requirement, I will make arrangements to meet you face to face and say, "I was wrong and you were right. And if we are still able, I will even buy you lunch :p"
The dimensions are prophetic hyperbole and are an even 1500 x 1500 x 1500 to represent perfection.

He's already out to lunch.

[h=3]Revelation 21:15-17[/h]King James Version (KJV)

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

That equals 1500 miles.

I wasn't arguing that it wasn't 1500 miles.

But city that big would probably pull the earth off it's rotation.

Exactly and there will be no more sea's nor mountains nor sun nor moon. Only the light of God as in the beginning. God said let there be light and there was light. That was the first day. The fourth day He allowed the Sun and the moon to shine. God is an awesome God.

Revelation 21:15-17

King James Version (KJV)

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

That equals 1500 miles.
Does this sound literal to you?
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel saw a dream and visions in his mind as he lay on his bed; then he wrote the dream down and related the following summary of it. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Daniel said, “I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’ [SUP]6 [/SUP]After this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. [SUP]7 [/SUP]After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. [SUP]8 [/SUP]While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttering great boasts.

I sorry, but I just don't get it. How can you read Daniel and Revelation (not too mention others) and find it to all be literal. Yes, it was/is talking about literal things, but with symbolism. You have to get that. If you don't, I am not sure how you have come to any conclusions at all.

Explain this to me, literally (Ez 1)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Each of them had four faces and four wings. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they gleamed like burnished bronze. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, [SUP]9 [/SUP]their wings touched one another; their faces did not turn when they moved, each went straight forward. [SUP]10 [/SUP]As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man; all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies. [SUP]12 [/SUP]And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went. [SUP]13 [/SUP]In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And the living beings ran to and fro like bolts of lightning.[SUP]15 [/SUP]Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the earth beside the living beings, for each of the four of them. [SUP]16 [/SUP]The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like sparkling beryl, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if one wheel were within another. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Whenever they moved, they moved in any of their four directions without turning as they moved. [SUP]18 [/SUP]As for their rims they were lofty and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were full of eyes round about. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Whenever the living beings moved, the wheels moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction. And the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels. [SUP]21 [/SUP]Whenever those went, these went; and whenever those stood still, these stood still. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other. [SUP]24 [/SUP]I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings. [SUP]25 [/SUP]And there came a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. [SUP]28 [/SUP]As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

Revelation has symbolism.

Ezekiel actually saw what he wrote and He saw the traveling throne of God after He saw this He sat amazed for 7 days and neither ate nor drink. John actually wrote what He saw. John also said I saw the seven thundering's and was about to write and God said do not write this.

These were not their imaginations they actually saw it just like you see the sky.

How anybody with any intelligence can read the Bible and ascertain that Jesus returned in 70 A.D. is so deceived or trying to justify there sin or would drink the koolaid or try to catch the Hale bob comet.

I have read the whole Bible. I don't know why you get so upset. Is there something that I am missing? Do you somehow think that all is lost because most/all of the prophecies in the bible have been fulfilled? Jesus was intended to be the answer before day 1. And somehow this upsets you? I am glad that Jesus was the answer and that does not take any hope away. How in the world would do you think that fulfilled prophecies justifies my sin?

I had to go to work so I couldn't respond. No Koolade involved.

Actually, I prefer to avoid commentaries most of the time, because I don't want to be "taught by men", but hope for explanation through the Holy Spirit. I know that the Holy Spirit has already helped me with some scriptures, but not all.

Keep seeking my brother, I do not condemn you and neither can I. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of these things shall be added unto you. God bless you and good nite.
