Hell and the Lake of fire are created for the Devil and "his angels".
So, this place and the final destination was created before Adam was created.

Jesus says........and this is important to understand, as it's never taught anymore.........."you are of YOUR Father....the DEVIL....and the lusts of YOUR Father You will do".

So, who is that? That is every unbeliever.

What does that mean? It means that John 3:36 is the current status of every unbeliever.

Christians today, are not taught that the Father of the "adamic nature" is The devil, and that sin is the nature of the Devil.
Christians are not taught that the Devil, is the spiritual father of ALL unbelievers.
Jesus said.....>"you are of YOUR FATHER......the Devil......and the LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER, you will do".....and that is "sin".
Unbelievers have a SIN Nature, because the fallen Adamic Nature, is the spiritual NATURE of their FATHER.

Jesus then teaches that : "you must be BORN AGAIN".
And why? Because when you are 1st BORN you have a spiritual Father.....and when you are born again, you have a NEW Spiritual Father.

Notice reader that the born again, have FATHER GOD. "Abba".
See that?
That is the end result of being born again...
And if you are not born again, you are born only once, and your earthly spiritual Father, is the "god of THIS World"..
See that?
And when you are born again, you become the SON OF GOD< who is the = Heavenly Father.

And you can thank Jesus for that, as His Cross and His blood made this new birth possible so that you could become a "NEW CREATION", in Christ.
See that?
If you are born again, and not just water baptized, then you have become the child of a NEW Spiritual FATHER, "ONE with GOD, in Christ".... and if you are not born again, you have the god of this world as your father..

This is why the unbelievers go to HELL and then the Lake of Fire. Its because they end up with THEIR Spiritual Father.
See it?
And the born again, who have a NEW Spiritual Father, end up in HEAVEN with THEIR Spiritual Father.

What is the situation of someone who has never heard the gospel, never rejected it, never heard about Jesus, never even knew?

These people aren't uncommon anymore, atleast in the USA. Secularism is dominant pretty much everywhere. There is a new post-Christian generation who aren't even really aware of Jesus.

Welcome to '2021.
Try to find a place in this world without an Internet and a Cell phone.

People in Mongolia, sitting in a tent, have internet and a cell.

Even in countries where the Gospel and the bible are forbidden have secrete services.

Probably what you have not considered is that God is going to get His word out, and man can't stop this.....

So, let me assure you that Hell is not a theological misunderstanding, even tho in these end times fake Pastors are trying to air condition it before they move in.

Hell is as real as Heaven.
Damnation lasts as long as Eternal life.
They are in fact the same thing, but the end result is a different eternal location.
