Calvinist. Regeneration before faith
Arminian- faith before regeneration
It seems to me, the two happen somewhat simultaneously.
Calvinist- unconditional election
Arminian. Conditional election.
Me- I don’t claim to understand how election works.
Nope both Armins and calvs agree on the T .
Both agree that ' Election ' has to do with salvation . Conditional v unconditional. But still the same error on what Elect means .
This comes in the 4th century with Augustine .
Calv = regeneration precede faith . Because of the T , U ,L so they have to have the I and the P
Armins because of the T have to have Previenint grace . but differ on the I .
Rather its called partial regeneration . Enough to make a decision or reject .
Because of the T they also need ' Election ' to be a choosing prior , but based on foreseen faith . Forseen faith is the Calvinst s best argument against Arminism ,which they will go for ever time . Meanwhile bible believers are not caught up in this in house squabble.
