So you don’t believe Grace can be resisted and you believe in unconditional election?
probably not in the way you mean . And no ' unconditional election ' and ' conditional election ' are both unbiblical.
One more time. Election is to service, calling and purpose, not to salvation. (Isa. 42:1; Acts 9:15; Rom. 11:28)

I did ... if you believe He selects/elects for salvation it is already arbitrary because we have no criteria for that selection?
You’re not reading it right. I said I would agree if you added arbitrarily to the last clause, condemn people to hell.

So faith is not a condition to be elected to service and purpose?

Let us go back a few steps... if God selects for salvation, meaning He selects those to whom He bequeaths saving faith, when He could save all, then by logic He condemns the rest to hell.

Great ,then there's no need for all this elected to be saved nonsense.
Actually there is. It helps us to remain secure in Christ knowing I was elected based on the cross and the grace of god to which I was saved by grace through faith
remove election and you remove one more point god gave us to help us in our security and seeing all suffering as a momentary light affliction b

Nope because it removes free will from the equation and would be god forcing people to believe him

I said I would agree if you added the word “arbitrarily” to the second part of the sentence. Which means I didn’t object to the first part. (The part you are saying I objected to )

That doesn't even make sense . /// I was elected based on the cross and the grace of god to which I was saved by grace through faith/// So you were elected before you existed , before you sinned ,you were ' elected ' but based on Jesus death to which you were saved through faith ? could you clarify with scripture?

Depends on what the basis of election is. Foreseen faith?

God elects believers whom He foreknew and He condemns unbelievers to hell. Nothing arbitrary about that. Which is why I said I would agree with that sentence if you had added arbitrarily before the word condemn.

I guess what I am stating is that arbitrarily is already part of it...if you believe ( and I am not sure you do) that God selects for salvation.

If He selects for salvation it is arbitrary because we have no criteria in scripture who He will pick.

That is the only way I can explain it.

He selects/elects and predestined based on foreknowledge.

What foreknowledge means precisely is the thing people disagree on

Yep I was

before time began I was predestined to be conformed to the image of God because I heard the word, and after hearing believed (eph 1)

again, if you would stop trying to defeat calvinism so much you may be able to see this

Yes. I’ve said that half a dozen times.
Are you sure.. half a dozen? Well I admitted to not following the conversation too closely.

I guess then I would ask does He give this faith to all or just some?

Because if it is just some ... as in people do not have the "ability to believe" I would have to disagree.

I think scripture states all have been given the ability to believe but some suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
