But we are not Adopted at conversion.
What?????
[quite]Read rom 8.23 .
23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, WAITING for the ADOPTION, to wit, the REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY .[/QUOTE]

Yet Paul said we have been given the spirit of adoption whereby we cry out Abba father

John said we were given the right to become children if god

We are called sons of god

You are not a child apart from adoption

Our adoption will not be complete until we are glorified. But I am an adopted son right now.

Election is to service, calling and purpose, not to salvation. (Isa. 42:1; Acts 9:15; Rom. 11:28)
Your taking what is said about jews And their election of a chosen nation and trying to relate it to gentile Believers

Again context my friend

There are differing types of election and predestination

Adoption is the future redemption of the body, not conversion. (Rom. 8:23, 15-17; Gal. 4:1-6)

Sinners become sons of God through the new birth, not through adoption. (John 1:12-13)

This is not true

Unless “who” means everyone it does not mean that in context or in scripture
The context is the Galatian believers and how they are sons of God. Now that ye are known of God...

You cannot deny the plain reading of Scripture.

A child who is adopted into a new family is basically given a new birth

I can not be a sin unless I am
Adopted

I Can not have Every spiritual blessing in Christ unless I am
A son I can not be a sin apart from adoption

We also have to define who “who” is
Those who will be glorified.

Jesus said “ I have other sheep that are not of this fold”....the Father knew who these sheep were. They had not yet been gathered, but they were known.

Also, in John 17, Jesus said “I do not pray for the world, but for those whom the Father has given me”. Three groups of people mentioned in Jesus’ prayer.

The world, those who would never know Him, who He was not praying for.

His disciples, including all who had already believed

And those who would believe.

To simplify, He was praying for two groups. The ones whom the Father had given Him, His Sheep and the world, who would not believe.

Could it be that we were given to Jesus before time began? Based on the foreknowledge of God?

Yet, it does not appear what we shall be. Why? Our bodies have not been redeemed. This completes our being conformed into the image of Christ. We shall bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15.

Yep, God will complete the adoption at His return. The adoption is defined as the redemption of the body. Romans 8:23.
Yes

But it started at conversion where we were adopted as sons

Sorry, but after the James fiasco I do not look to you for contextual guidance
Please define what is being said. After ye are known of God...

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Yes. As even Jesus said I pray not only for them but those who will believe like them

We have the Spirit of adoption. The Spirit is God's seal that cannot be broken. It is our guarantee of the future adoption as sons. We have the power to become sons of God.

This is a accurate description of the doctrines of Total depravity and monergism. I’m sure we can have some interesting discussions on these. Thank you for your post.
I definitely do not commit to Calvinism per se.
onergism.......certainly as far as creation goes what other options are available?
To foreknow a person is to automatically foreknow his or her actions. Someone was trying to split hairs.
Well, actually there is component here in the term foreknowledge, and that component is the human relational element.

Ultimately God is endeavoring to rebuild a shattered relationship. In light of that perspective mere facts become mere trivia.

Do you not understand personal relationship as apposed to a non personal relationship?

Israel was known of god. Does this
Mean God did not know Nineveh? Or was it that he had a personal
Relationship with them

You are correct, for If we were not adopted, why does the Spirit give us utterance to cry ABBA, Father.

Yet, There is also a sense in which the adoption is declared at our resurrection, but yet we are already sons of God. Just as Jesus was God’s Son and yet was declared to be the Son of God in the Resurrection. (Romans 1:4) ( of course, it’s different because Jesus is not adopted, but is Son by nature not adoption)

Yet He was powerfully demonstrated to be the one and only UNiQUE SON by the resurrection. It did not then become fact, it was powerfully declared to be fact with the biggest exclaimation point ever written.

And as adopted sons of God, we have the hope of resurrection, which is the manifestation of the sons of God.

As it is written in Romans, we ourselves groan waiting for the adoption, to wit the redemption of the body.

So we are already sons of God (1John 3:1), but there is a greater realization of that fact in the resurrection of our bodies, when we will bear and wear the image of the heavenly?

Gal4.9 is personal/ intimate ' known ' . Which is only when a person becomes in Christ.
