Empty talk, empty-headed man, you are guilty : same chorus !

So you are the people who know but I am not inferior to you. Job is calling God for an answer. Bad people are in peace ! But god is the creator of everything ! He has wisdom, mightiness, counsel and understanding, human beings are nothing compared to him : what a curse ! What an empty talk ! But Job only wants to talk to God, no one else : is he wrong ? His associates have just empty talks ! He tells them to shup up, he has enough of rmpty talks ! Job is prepared to talk to God who is the only one who can be his salvation : what a curse ! Staying silent for him means being dead ! He wants to know his errors ! When a man dies he lies powerless ! If a man dies, can he lives again ? Job is waiting for God calling him : what a curse !

The book of Job is such a source of inspiration when we read it or when we think about Job’s mental strength. It tells us we must speak. It is better to complain than to shut our mouth even if we sometimes need to stay calm and reflect. When we never complain it is like a mortal virus which destroys us from the inside. When we complain it is a way to extirpate it.

What do you think of Satan's role here? Is the devil? A busybody meddler? A useful servant of God?

The devil is the servant of the devil and of no one else and he only cares about himself. He is only jealous of God and he wants everybody to worship him and go away from God. And not only human beings but also angels.

Does Job think that he is wicked--that he deserves the punishment he is receiving?

No. But he can’t do anything, he can only suffer and fell pain, he has no hope and he doesn’t want to struggle anymore. He is bitter. But he keeps complaining and he keeps speaking about his feelings meaning he keeps fighting and asking why ! He is alive even if he is in troubles !

Why does Job consider trees to have more hope than human beings?

He says that man doesn’t live long and that his life is filled with troubles. Even if a tree is cut down, it will sprout again. But when a man dies, he won’t live again.

35) How would you characterize the tone of 26:2-4?

Job is combative as he uses exclamative sentences and questions. He keeps fighting his three companions, he is equal to himself, he never surrenders.

What points about God's governance are stressed in these two discourses (that is, chapters 37 vs. 38-39)

God controls all the elements of his creation and he knows everything about it

Are people just pawns in God’s chess game?

It often seems that people are caught in events beyond their control, manipulated by God or Satan. They may feel forced into situations they would not choose if they were given a chance. While this seems unfair, there is another way—a higher way—to interpret the circumstances of life. We can see them as God-given opportunities to cooperate with his purpose and plans and, by serving him, to fulfill something far more significant than our own schemes ever could. We’re more than pawns in a chess game. We can honor Almighty God by the way we live and die.

Anyway, we still have the choice and we must choose as people did in the Bible even if the majority made the wrong choice.

2. How was Satan able to be in God’s presence when sin cannot be in God’s presence?

Apparently sin/evil can be in God’s presence. This shouldn’t surprise us since Jesus was able to be in the presence of sin. The view that sin can’t be in God’s presence primarily comes from Habakkuk 1.13 which says, “You who are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong, why do you idly look at traitors and remain silent when the wicked swallows up then man more righteous than he?” This seems to be more about God’s holiness than what he is capable of experiencing. In Isaiah 6, the prophet was in God’s presence even though he was a sinful man.

Well it was before. Then according to Revelation 12:7-10 there was a war in heaven and now there is no more room for the devil in heaven and he was hurled down to the earth.

Did Satan have the power to strike Job’s children dead? Did they have to die to prove God is in control?

It seems as though he did. He only did because he received God’s permission, but chapter 2 implies it was his doing. I don’t know why they had to die; I only know they did. In much the same way, I often do not understand why things happen, only that they do. I can trust that God is at work in the midst of even the greatest of tragedies.

It must have been really hard for Job to see his children die ! What a destructive experience ! The devil knew what he was doing !

29. How can we find a God of love amidst the groaning of this world?

Seek him and you will find him.

The more this world gets into the pit the more we need to read the Bible and listen to it and open our ears and think again and again and humble ourselves like Job and Daniel and Samuel and many others and follow their good examples !

3.) Our friends may fail us in the midst of our misery but God never does.

Job’s friends put him on the defense. Job said of his three friends: “Miserable comforters are you all!” (16:2) Job proclaims where his deep strength flows from:
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.
26 And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
27 whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me!
~Job 19:25-27
One day – we will see with our own eyes our Redeemer! He is alive today and forevermore and because He lives – we can face tomorrow with victory!

What a powerful thought to think about a world led by God and to serve him to make a better world completely different from what we know today ! It will be necessary to change everything ! What a privilege to participate to such a work! And always for the better and not for the worse like today !

I have read a lot of spiritual books which provide the way to worship the true God. I would say students also need to know about the youressayreviews.com option where anyone can get complete reviews regarding the writing studies in a good way.

Many Miracles
3 # Short Commentary and Lesson from Job 5.9, 10

God's miracles are "more than we can count." there are real miracles all around for those who can see them - the movements of the heavens, the beauty of the earth, the gift of life, the wonder of friendship. These are all miracles.

We are surrounded every day with marvelous gifts from God, yet we often call them "ordinary." look for his gifts in your world today.

Most of the time we forget to watch nature, we forget to speak and listen to the people we live with ! Even if humanity destroys the beauty of the Earth, ther is still a lot to admire ! When we think about all the things we do in life, there are many which are nonsense but we only realize it when it is always too late ! Why having a family if we are not able to speak together and exchange ideas ? Because of daily life, we lose the habit to communicate at home and we often become strangers ! Do we have to wait to get into trouble to think about ? It’s a shame and that’s the same with human society ! Poor world ! It is so empty !

Fool's Gold
14 # Short Commentary and Lesson from Job 28.12-24

Money has become an idol for many people today, but such idolization is meaningless in the eyes of God (Ecclesiastes 6.2) There are seven different Hebrew words for gold, and at least four of them appear in this chapter. The gold discussed in these verses is a refined gold gathered as a treasure.

Money can buy many things, but it can't buy the jewels of peace, love, joy, or happiness. With god, our wealth is of no concern. Everyone is treated equally before his throne. The foolish person does not mind being trapped in the world of financial gain, whereas the wise person abides in the freedom of God's wisdom.

Yes, today’s world is completely away from PEACE, JOY, or HAPPINESS! If we want to get them we have to turn our back to its principles and look for the GOLDEN PRINCIPLES which are in the Bible! If we follow and listen to this world we will only find EMPTINESS and a DEAD END! But we need to be 100% ACTIVE and we mustn’t let the others think for ourselves! We must participate and use our mind! We mustn’t be SPIRITUALLY DEAD!

From Job we see:
1. Suffering is inevitable and unavoidable in this fallen world.

Suffering is everywhere ! Pain is an alarm which tells us that something is wrong ! Then we can decide to listen or not ! Through life we may have to face different situations which can strike our body and our mind ! And we may feel the consequences during our whole lives ! And we have to fight back these consequences to survive ! For that we must be 100 % active and not passive ! We must act and do positive things ! And reading and thinking deeply about the Bible will help us to think about God and about faithful men of the past and how they did to survive and stay faithful ! Through the Bible we can listen to God and ask him questions and communnicate with him ! But we mustn’t stay silent !

Hmm for me much easier to just read the bible (job) then some of these threads.. no clue what your getting at with them. Job fact how long it lasted we don't know could have been days.. weeks months we don't know. What we do know is Job was healed and then got double everything he had. Thats our God. So yes suffering happens in this world and OT NT by HIS strips we are healed...NT we were healed. So many promises in Gods word...things of this world come at is attack us but we do not ever have to receive them accept them. For Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”.

We delight our self in the lord and He WILL not maybe not might but will give us the desires of our heart. If we know He hears us then we know we have the petitions/prayers we asked for. For Gods WILL is His word. But if we doubt.. then as God said let not that man think he will get anything from God. Job had faith and without faith its impossible to please God.

Good, I'm just trying to dig and dig and dig...Always trying new experiments to learn more...but always in connection with the Bible...I keep reading the Bible again and again so I am also encouraging people to read it and think deeply about what they read... Reading the Bible carefully is not so easy either because when you do it carefully you have more questions and more answers and more questions and more answers...Not reading it is the problem because it is God's word...and it is a good way of communication with him... Of course we also have the prayer but the two are connected...Not reading it means it is difficult to be connected with him...You must also remember that Hebrew and Greek are different languages belonging to different cultures and ways of thinking. Greek is closer to our way of thinking but Hebrew is older and thus quite different...That's the interest of the interlinear translations...Think about the fact that during so long people couldn't read the bible by themselves and many died because they just wanted to make it accessible for the majority in their own languages. So what a privilege! sadly many people don't use it! And thus how do you want God to listen!
