but you are not searching for truth, you are searching for conformation.

if you really cared about truth, you would accept the definition of the word SIN, and not refuse it, so you can fake thought yourself into thinking you can be sinless while still in the flesh.
You are just expressing unbelief in the power of the cross.

11 Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace.
And the God of love and peace will be with you.
2 Cor 13

15 just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do
1 Peter 1

7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
1 Thess 4

8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap
destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest if we do not give up.
Gal 6

10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of
sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
11 and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect,
but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Phil 3

God bless you

gb9 - cutting remarks. Ow, you stand over me and tell me what I desire.

But then my friend, if I have the truth, and I mean literally, as scripture declares it, confirmed
from beginning to end, then you are in a very bad place. It is obvious you believe in conviction
of sin, but not in walking the walk and talking the talk. Now literally any sinner can do what you
are doing, it costs nothing, changes nothing and to my mind, means nothing.

It is like going to war with a rubber sword and plastic shields. One real arrow and you are dead.
What is an arrow of the enemy? You are not Gods because you committed adultery. Opps I did,
and I did not repent or get right with God, so it is all a farce.

A believers response is yes that sin happened, but I have repented, turned from sin and turned to God
I have sorted my life out, I have been cleansed and purified, and I am walking in His righteousness and
His will. And I rest in the cross and His resurrection so no accusation can stand against me.

So in the end this is not about being sinless, but about walking in fellowship with God, daily, hourly.

And the arrow that really hurts, is one does not love ones wife, and the adultery is just a lack of care
and commitment, and destroys her life and ones own life. And one finds oneself divorced, alone, destitute
and abandoned. And this arrow destroys, and can often lead to personality crisis and collapse.

This is a personal testimony.....When I moved to get my life right, was studying the bible about 60 hours a week, going to seminary to catch UP on my bible knowledge from the wasted years......I was driving back to Little Rock, Arkansas from Pine Bluff one night and was scanning the radio and the song came on....Close My Eyes Forever.....and I will never forget the sinking gut feeling of sadness that overcame me thinking about the LOST and how they will have their eyes shut forever in the mists and darkness forever.....I knew then I had to make a stand for the LORD and witness to as many people as I could......the end is near and the lost will be in darkness forever....let your heart break for these people and step up to the plate and let the chips fall where they may fall!!!!!
God bless you. I admire your enthusiasm.
So these lost, what is your witness to them? And what is your gospel?

We are called to be lights, examples of what God can do in a sinners life,
the glory of His Holy Spirit working in our hearts bringing love and peace
to all we meet. Thank you Jesus, that you give us this victory and this testimony.
God bless you

Uffa.
How do you treat people you DON'T like??
I'm afraid for them...and you own so many guns....
I'm glad you don't know where I live....
I'd be worried right now.

So, let me get this straight:
You like me even though I'm:
not honest
have no integrity
lie by twisting scripture...

You have very low standards....

Get wise young man.
END OF STORY.
What happened in Christchurch?
The above comes when one has not learnt to turn the other cheek.
This situation demonstrates whatever is in someone elses heart, there is no point in defending
oneself, because we can only just shine as a light. In the world we believe there is empathy,
but in Kingdom issues, we are a fragrance of life for some, and the smell of death to others.

As God's people we stand on Christ, His love and the cross on which we put to death the old man,
but live to the Spirit, Amen.

God bless you

Notre Dame - It is a really beautiful building.

I sometimes wonder if the beauty seen outside, in music, architecture, aspirations, can
obscure the poverty within, while for others sing to the glory of God of what we can
achieve when inspired by His word.

God has given us talents to use to His glory, so let us do this, Amen.

I think you are being way too hard on yourself, I do not think I have read one post that was offensive by you.:)

As for the "refreshing views" umm no... works salvation does not do it for me.
I found her perky way of responding to be refreshing, however, there was not much in her general perception that I really agreed with. The thing is, we are all on a slightly different spiritual level of understanding on certain matters so I try to take that into account and do my best to refrain from personal attacks on the person while trying to have a civil discussion on the topic at hand. I find your perspective and the way you conduct yourself to be refreshing too and I respect the person that you are as well. :)

Believe it or not....I somewhat liked her, but <---And that is a big one.....She was constantly embellishing what we said, or changing what we said or being very deceptive about what we said.... and when she went bye bye the 1st time....SHE, on purpose, done some very hurtful things, and openly admitted to attempting to get us all banned and the thread shut down........and this last TIME actually made comments about me having guns and being glad I did not know where she lived like I would come look her up and do something stupid and SHE made these comments the day of the shooting in New Zealand when some 50 people were killed and another 40 or so wounded.....it was totally uncalled for.......
Yeah, she was at times brash and insensitive. I can get that way too at times to a certain degree. She could certainly go off on a hurtful tangent but perhaps the reason for that was 'cause she didn't have her Snicker's bar that day. I am current trending towards Milky Way bars myself and perhaps, therein lies the underlying problem with me as I could easily become a junk-food junkie to go along with my nicotine addiction. I thank God that I decided to totally refrain from alcohol in 1992 or I would probably be an alcoholic today. I really need to quit smoking but for me that's my Snicker's bar. Kind of sad really.

I was really touched while reading Matthew 9:20 , the women with the blood issue , who was cast out even by her own family because she was unclean , how awful it must of been for her...

But what really struck me is how she crawled through the crowds and thinking to herself " If only I can touch the the hem of His garment " and she did...

And in Matthew 9: 22 Jesus says to her " Daughter , take courage , your faith has made you well " at once she was cured...

Her faith in our LORD made her well...xox...

I just want to say , her faith in our LORD saved her...

Like those who looked up at the serpent moses held high, instead of where they were walking, their faith made them well (even if they were bitten)

37 When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus
was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume,
38 and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his
feet with her tears
. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,
"If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what
kind of woman she is--that she is a sinner."
Luke 7

I am always staggered by this story, because this woman showed so much love, so openly in front
of those who would condemn her and call her unworthy, yet Jesus accepted this gift and called it
a great gift, given from a heart that had a great debt that needed paying.

44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman?
I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet
with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.
46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.
47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has
been forgiven little loves little."
Luke 7

People who have grown up in church often do not realise the depth of sin in their hearts,
and think of God in simple and legalistic terms. Little do they know they are no better than
the worst of sinners as Paul describes

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the
world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.
1 Tim 1

So it is strange when those who desire to be righteous and follow Jesus are called sinful and evil.
The reason we are forgiven is that we might walk as Jesus walked, because our hearts have been
changed and we rejoice in the Lord of our Salvation, Amen.

Maybe legalists do not really know what a sinner and a saint are, so they call all sinners, because
they are so used to condemning everyone, even the woman who washed Jesus's feet.

Feet washing was something done normally because of the dust that made their feet dirty from walking in their sandals...

They would have a bowl at the door , and on entering , their feet would be washed clean , they did not offer to do this for Jesus...xox...

Salvation from the begining of time has been by faith in God apart from works.
Dispensationalism does not believe different gospels in different times, Only a select few who follow dispensational thinking this this. (I am a dispensational by the way)

A dispensational is a historicist (spelling) Who divides certain time periods into dispensations or ages where God deals with mankind on earth in different ways.

A few examples

The age of innocence - the time before the fall
The age of Isreal - The time when God spoke and worked through the world through Israel
The age of the church, Same as before. Only God uses the church
Then we have future things like the tribulation period. And the reign of Christ.

Some will argue that all dispensationals believe each dipensation had people get saved different ways.
Ie.. Isreal was saved by law. And during tribulation, We again be saved by law
Church is saved by grace
Etc etc..

They will even say scofield (who many think is the father of dispensations) believed this, yet on further review, he never thought this at all.

This is a basic rundown, hope it helps.

The word dispensation means the office of administrator. Overseer, stewardship.

Each dispensation, God had different types or groups of people who were the overseer of Gods word, the administrator or held stewardship.
