The latter is based upon the transformation based on Romans 12:1-2 and the spiritual growth that comes from feeding the born again spirit the word of God
Hello dc,

I always learn something when I discuss scripture with you! So, let’s discuss......

Let’s look at Romans 12:1-2:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Our bodies are definitely a “living sacrifice.” However, our soul which houses our mind (will and emotions) is to grow and even metamorphosis into a new creation- like a caterpillar to a butterfly......simply by the Word and Spirit of God ALONE - No man intervention.

Does anyone else find it hard to read an entire thread without making it past a few pages and then realize your comment may/may not be completely irrelevant to where the thread has gone in the bulk of the latter pages?

A thought hit me that seems to be more unpacking of my understanding of what appears to be a middle ground between rather opposed groups of believers. It is in its fledgling stages, and what I typed and deleted is a bit jumbled, so I'll sleep on it ;)

Essentially, are there limits to grace when we willfully reject huge swaths of the word and only adhere to what I call "the good stuff" or "dessert"...but also factoring in what the fulfillment of the law and lightly factoring in works, as I consider many works to be unseen easily.

Love is sooo powerful. I’ll not only obey, I’ll fight to my dying breath to obey.......the emotion of love can compel me above and beyond any fear of people, self or enemy.

Love knows only victory.....Love never fails.(y)
See. Compel.

If you didn't know that love you couldn't choose it.

And because you DO know that love you can't choose against it.

Obviously...it is all God or it is fraudulent.....
