LOL What blows my mind about new cars these days is they put full synthetic oil in them and you don't count the miles between oil changes like you used to. You just wait for a light to come on that tells you that your car is ready for an oil change (could be anywhere from 7,500-10,000 miles) "or one year" which ever comes first.
I know, right? When my salesman told me I was questioning him because it is totally backwards to the way I was taught. I still check my oil under the hood to make sure the levels are good. I even was dumb enough to come back in to the dealership and asked how to open the gas tank....the salesman goes out there and pushes on the door of it and guess what? It opened lol

Went to my parent's house this morning, surprised my momma with her mother's day gifts. :) I visited Tequila and Sukie's graves, and found the strangest thing on Tequila's grave. Can you guess what it was? Hint: it's used in a popular sport. :)

Then went shopping, first at Shaw's but their shelves weren't stocked so NOTHING I needed was available, but I DID find a lucky penny there. Then I went to Price Chopper. And came home, and now I'm drinking iced coffee and eating chicken salad.. :)

Try to guess what I found on Tequila's grave. :)

That is so sweet of you Darlene. I know we all have our challenges and want to stand for truth, especially after coming to Christ... I find your humility an inspiration... so often I fail to live up to my own desire to be a good person, a better person, and though I can acknowledge my failings within myself and before God and even publicly in person in other venues away from here, it is not always easy to acknowledge them in this venue, to be vulnerable, where people so easily turn one against the other over doctrinal issues, and other things (hello, Mr Trump?) that may be misunderstandings, or maybe too keen an understanding at times. Sometimes I have a tender moment toward someone and hold back sharing it, fearing what others may think, what motives they may attach to my saying something nice to someone, how silly is that? I have this idea sometimes that people think I am strong because I have learned finally how to stand up and speak my truth, but my strength does not come from myself, but from He upon Whom I stand. How do we separate who we are from what we believe? Is it even possible? The adage, you are what you think, comes to mind, and also, you are what you think, but not necessarily what you think you are :) I wish you well this day!

Magenta thanks for the kind words... humility is not something I would think of myself at all.... This site has been helpful to me to find my shortcomings and realize what sets me off...(Trump anyone?)...

I will say I have tried to learn from my mistakes and outrage when it comes to certain topics (can I get a Trump?).... and then I really try to avoid the area/topic hard sometimes when it is glaring at you in the face or the media...

I have other issues too, but the one thing Trump topic taught me is that he really needs Jesus and to show the fruits of such a connection to Him.... and that I need to not loose friends and family over such a person whether I like him and what he stands for or not. Friends and family mean a lot more to me than political banter and ideals...

So love the family and friends and pray for the Trump - he needs it as I do as well... humility on my part really hard for me to see but Jesus has all the humility I need and I will continue to try to reflect Him and keep my eyes on Him where they belong...
