I noticed an issue of late with my Edge browser when trying to display an image. I would copy the url from a site that would normally allow sharing (like ipinimg), but when I would paste it in between the tags, the code would completely change to something else that was not an image code. I started copying the url into postimages to get a postable url that way, but eventually discovered that if I pasted the original url into a document first, and then recopied the url, I could paste it directly to here. Weird :oops: Is that anything like your issue? PS~ if you save a gif to your HD, you cannot change its name or it becomes a still.

So I just looked it up :D

BB +‎ code, short for bulletin board code. Proper noun. BBCode. A lightweight markup
language, with tags in square brackets, used to format posts on message boards. :geek:

Mark up language is part of what HTML means. HTML is the code that makes everything possible.

Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files
to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages.

I was on a site for a few years where I designed web pages, so I got used to parsing such text.

I did not design from scratch, but used pre-made templates that I could edit to my liking :D

Changing the colors of text, inserting my own backgrounds, adding content, etc.

One of my pages had close to 200k views o_O

What is HTML?
  • HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language
  • HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages
  • HTML describes the structure of a Web page
  • HTML consists of a series of elements

The purpose of a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc) is to read HTML documents and display them correctly.

A browser does not display the HTML tags, but uses them to determine how to display the document.
