I know animals can be better than humans. More loving, faithful and sincere.
I have not watched that movie. I dont like to watch anything sad as I can become too emotional lol. I saw the preview for it and it looked good but from what I gathered it was about her struggles. I like suspense movies, escape from jail type movies.
then don't ever, ever watch Old Yeller.........

That's alright I am always talking to myself whilst everybody else is asleep. The good thing is I get the hot coffee and fresh donuts. It's usually a good conversation too lol.

It could be anything... we have it for breakfast, you can have it for dessert or lunch. Whatever you wish. But it’s best made with homemade biscuits... and chocolate puddin for the gravy.
Gravy here is salty like what you have on beef or chicken. Biscuits here are sweet so when I read biscuits and gravy I thought 'how can that be" lol.

Sausage gravy is the regular type here.
Sometimes - combining something sweet with something salty can be quite tasty!

The right amount of sweet with the right amount of salty - along with the other defining flavors of the combination - can be quite delicious.

If you are talking about pre-packaged food items from the store (as opposed to home-made-from-scratch), then - they put something sweet in just about everything these days...

It did not use to be that way - not nearly to the same extent, anyway.

But today, everything is overloaded with 'high-fructose corn syrup' and other sweet-but-unhealthy substances...

In the U.S. - in the South, at least - gravy for [breakfast] biscuits is made from the grease left over from frying bacon and/or sausage.

Well, I was looking at wayfair the other night and saw bath towels for over a hundred bucks :censored:

And lamps for 3-6 hundred dollars each  What the heck?

Not if you get them from Walmart or Target or such....... :) But you can not return them when you are not satisfied with them like the Commercial says
to the company or to the store?
Well, most major box stores have dropped MY PILLOW brand since he openly supports Trump and is on the "stolen election" wagon (but theres plenty about that in OTHER threads.....)

I hated that they made us watch that in Jr high (WITHOUT reading the book first  )
I had a teacher who loved the story and so for about half a week we watched it and I thought "oh nice, we get to watch a movie in class without having to read it first" I had NO IDEA what it was about other than a boy and his dog. Ah man, even the tough boys in class were crying at the end.

Sorry guys and girls....I got totally buried in some research. The past week has been a nightmare requiring more research than normal. But the market tanked and I was looking for safe havens for my investments. By the end of the week I only lost a Benji...but I know guys that lost numbers in exponents of that. And for whatever reason a stock I liked has become a glamour stock (meme) and so by the end of it all I'll probably be up.

Kinda stupid stuff...but it's not a get rich quick and easy scheme that people make this out to be. It takes hours and hours of real study and research to find good stocks. And because of that research you get "lucky" occasionally. But in reality it's the hours and hours you spend to do 10 minutes of actual trading that pays. Not glamorous like the movies make it out to be. Most of us are nerds with glasses. We paid attention in the most boring classes in school. (Economics, accounting, and math).

Everyone else that does this ends up testifying before congress for pump and dump schemes and SEC violations and courtrooms as defendants in lawsuits. (As the headlines this past week demonstrates)

There's a reason why it's a line in a famous country music song...

"She didn't cry when Ol Yeller died and I won't cry when she is gone"

My wife refused to watch ol Yeller on dis+ ...(she's 17 years younger than me and doesn't really understand the movie)

Most people don't understand that movie because most people have never been in situations like that where you have a job needing done that seems overwhelming...but there's nothing to do but do it anyway. Life and death struggle there. And then the one helping hand you had... you have to kill. It would break anyone's heart.

It always does... especially if you have been there and done that it any measure. Which is why I really love some of the seemingly flattest stories in scriptures...when I finally figured out what is being said...and why I always want to scream and shout. Caleb's story and Elijah's story are two of my favorites. I get their passion, heartbreak, and triumph.
