Ebeth33, you and I, and a few others grasp the scriptural truth that we are no longer our own when we are His, His thoughts become ours, etc. and thus we no longer have our own "opinion" as we are conformed to the image of the Son. We are "hidden in Him" as scripture clearly instructs.

Last I heard most(if not all) of is in here believe this very thing. So it is not just you two who believe this. Again, this is a prety telling post. Do you wish to share your reasoning?

Niether are you my friend. You have accused many people in here. Now you want to act as if your innocent?

You have some serious issues my friend.

He has some valid questions. If the one can not answer them. Then thats an issue with the op. Not the one questioning what she said.

just because you can do it doesn't make it Godly, don't be a reprobate.

Wow. Looks like God needs to move over and make room for you on His throne.

You obviously have not been following this thread. I said to her, "So, you have not sinned recently?" Her response? "No..."

If you're okay with that, then your theology is flawed. And, all the name-calling and insults will not make your case more valid.
I am curious why the OP red x’d this post. What he said is true

You haven't sinned recently, I gather?
no, I haven't even interacted with anyone, just spending time with God, keeping everyday Holy and following His command to make desiples of all nations, I've kept the Sabbath and kept God first and posted and prayed pertaining to my neighbors as I love them and don't want to see them be deceived.

It's not pride as I am not boasting but I'm giving the glory to God and that is my testimony as to the power of God! You guys are the worst!
Just let it roll off your back.

People, especially "Christian people" should be able to discuss something without getting all bent out of shape and judging others.

The one you are replying to has a fairly new account here, but as far as I can tell she seems to always be mixed up in some childish drama judging and accusing others.

IDK...Maybe it's something personal?

I don't know her as I am new here myself, I finally ignored as I was getting too agravated, one Christian saying I will quote "no fruit, no conversion, period." Thank you for your support but I've wasted too much time responding to being called a liar and full of pride. I will follow you and hopefully we will stumble upon a more productive thread.

Wow, that's eye opening. My problem is not that they are acting like babes in Christ who are on fire for God, they are acting like people who are not spirit filled. At first my intention was to make sure the brethren were ready to be caught up, which I believe is so soon. To be watching, faithful, obeying and praying to be counted worthy to escape. Essentially getting right with God. But what reactions I got was not only are they not ready, but that they aren't even saved or at the least not wanting to accept that without true repentance (turning away from sin) how can they be born again? We are called to be children of the light, to be the salt of the earth. To follow Jesus is to obey His teachings. It is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we need to understand the scriptures. So some need to go back and truly repent and make Jesus their Lord and Savior and pray to be filled with His Holy Spirit. Rather than walking around in self righteousness not heeding the warnings in the bible but just shrugging to nobody is held accountable for their actions because they said the sinner's prayer. Born again believers do get a hunger for the things of God and a desire to do the will of God, and they are filled with the spirit if they had a sincere conversion. But the fruits of the spirit must take growing and maturing I guess? But shouldn't we know true believers by their fruit? By how they treat others especially their brothers and sisters in Christ?
You definitely have a point.

Does God Have A Point When HE Says:

Col 1:12 "Giving thanks unto The Father, Which Hath Made us
meet {WORTHY} to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:"?

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

And when you do sin, there is an advocate who stands in your place. Because, you will sin. And if you claim to be without it, you deceive yourself. Do you also pray the rosary?

Well, IDK, when someone, anyone comes to a Christian forum and claims to be innocent and without sin, you should expect to be told the truth about your own self-deception.

There is no sense in being so disrespectful to others.

We all (me included) need to learn how to weigh our words when dialoguing with others.

Just coming out swing with guns blazing... and at one point even questioning someone's salvation...is uncalled for... and doesn't seem to accomplish anything most of the time...just saying.

Telling the truth is not disrespectful.

Claiming to be innocent and without sin is from the pit of hell. That poster is hopefully well warned and should seek the truth from the word of God instead of her own self-opinion about her sinlessness.

I never questioned anyone's salvation. That is not for me to judge.

Some people just want their ego stroked instead of being told the truth, so they run away because the truth hurts if you are not willing to hear it.

I'm not going to bicker back and forth.

There is a way to discuss things with others using the Word of God... that don't always lead to beating them down.

We should first try to encourage and help others through the scriptures.

That's all I have to say about it.

It didn't appear to me that the OP wanted to actually discuss anything. She was here to blow her own horn.

I posted Scripture to show her the error of her ways and she dismissed God's word out of hand.

That's all I have to say about it.

God didn’t say it. Paul wrote it. I would consider Paul’s gratitude to God for orchestrating their union (with Colossians) as saints and heirs is rightfully bestowed. I think I answered your question but I am unaware why you asked it.

well, there we go, you have found the difficulty a Spirit filled person finds here at CC.
It's unfortunate that you are so completely off-base in identifying the core issue.

The problem is not that EBeth (or anyone else) is claiming to be Spirit-filled, or is acting in a way (allegedly) consistent with such, but that she is promoting a relationship with God based on law rather than on faith.

His Own are getting better, more conformed to His image, the others..... also more conformed to the one they give first place to, and the wheat and tares are growing together till harvest.
And we should assume that you, Shit-tim, are being conformed to His image? If that is the case, no thanks.
