The Fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-26
Paul’s point in these verses is to emphasize the attributes that should be evident in a Christian if the Holy Spirit dwells within someone’s heart, as opposed to those attributes that are evident in an person who is not born from above.

Fruit is produced by the Lord Jesus using the Spirit of God in our lives. He wants to live His life through us. That is the reason I keep saying that you are not asked to live the Christian life. You are asked to let Him live through you. It is not by our own efforts but by The Holy Spirit who leads us to do the will of God​

there is no mention of Sabbath keeping in the Fruits of the Sprit.

Sabbath keeping is not required for modern Christians.

There IS however the mention of love, which in the New Testament most often translates to seeking the highest good of the other person, and no where do the fruits of the spirit guide us to negativity.

Sabbath keeping is not required for modern Christians.
That's true: 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

But we are commanded to love God with all our heart and all our soul so why not remember the sabbath and keep it Holy. I don't work so everyday is a day of rest for me there is no difference between the days of the week. I do spend every day in God's business, I care for my elderly mother and cook for her regardless of what day it is.

After being born again the next step is the renewing of the mind and you have done so, you view the world as God views it and are open and desiring more growth in His ways. Not all do so, many stay as carnal Christians, believing this world is their home. it is not.
Churches seem to be focused on the lowest common denominator, as one contributor mentioned from His walk.

Then why is the whole bible filled with verses that call us to REPENTANCE AND FAITH? There are many more verses I can quote but I shouldn't have to quote them all.

Maybe you don't understand the meaning of repentance it is to turn away from sin

Repentance is the activity of reviewing one's actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to and actual actions that show and prove a change for the better. Wikipedia

The repentance (metanoia) called for throughout the Bible is a summons to a personal, absolute and ultimate unconditional surrender to God as Sovereign. Though it includes sorrow and regret, it is more than that. ... In repenting, one makes a complete change of direction (180° turn) toward God.

the Apostles were all jewish men, born under the Law.

gentiles were and are not under the Law.

Christians are under the law of Christ, and have His laws and commandments written on our heart and mind.

I think far to many people miss the point jesus was making to people when he asked the question. Why do you call me good. No one is good but God.

Also. We need to heed the apostles Johns warning. If we (he included himself) claim to be without sin, we decieve ourselves and there is no truth in us.

As regenerate Children with a new nature our hearts have been turned toward wanting to keep them, but if we ever think we are keeping His Commandments as we ought (or as they ought to be kept), we are only fooling ourselves. We are always in need of His grace.
Amen

And saying this is not attacking peoples desire to worship God and do good. It is trying to discourage people from thinking they are more righteous than they really are. Which is dangerous

it is wise to believe what Scripture says and does not say rather than go with personal opinions...

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, but that doesn't mean that we aren't supposed to try and if we stumble repent and take up your cross and start over every day. we walk in the spirit which is full of grace but that grace does not give us a liscense to sin, since nobody could be as perfect as Jesus. If you are still living in sin I don't believe you are born again that is not Christ living His life in you.
My point was if we think we are pulling off keeping the commandments as they ought to be kept we are deluding ourselves. Christ’s purity at pleasing the Father was light years above ours. He sets the standard at loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and strength which implies all the time…and remember if we fail at one point of the law it is as if we have broken all.
When we are born again, it no longer becomes a matter of ‘trying’ but we will naturally want to be pleasing to Him and be repelled by intentional sin. Our faith in Jesus covers our sins.

The Apostle Jude was inspired to warn us of this very deception. "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ" (Jude 3–4).

Notice that Jude warns of false teachers using the idea of "grace" as a vehicle for "licentiousness\—license to disobey the very laws of God!

Let us understand that no one can ever earn salvation—it is God's gift! The true grace of God leads to the gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8–10; Romans 6:23). Those willing to obey God (Acts 5:29, 32) and who are under true grace will be God's "workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works" (Ephesians 2:10). God's grace does not eliminate the need for obedience and keeping God's commandments. The Apostle Paul warned that one could "receive the grace of God in vain" (2 Corinthians 6:1). And while the Apostle Peter exhorted Christians to "rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:13), he continues with the expectation that we do so "as obedient children" (v. 14; cf. v. 2).




The 10 Commandments List in Exodus 20:2-17

1.“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2.“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

3.“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

4.“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5.“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

7.“You shall not commit adultery.

8.“You shall not steal.

9.“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10.“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Matthew 22:36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
you can't keep what you already broke. only Judgement is left. If one is under the Blood of Jesus the Holy Spirit doesn't make you keep the law. The Holy Spirit is the helper, not the controller. He helps us to become more like Christ, which means you will not do ungodly things because the Holy Spirit will convict you, yet you have the freedom to disobey. The Flesh will always try to do what God said do not do. We are in a daily battle and one is never free from temptation. You have the power to not be a willful participate in the suggestion. You can submit to God resist the devil and he will flee from you. You can renew your flesh mind by the word of God. You can draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Many Christians today fail on all of these.

They don't pray
They don't study God's word.

They don't separate themselves from the world. Then wonder why they keep sinning.

Jesus said: John. 14. [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments. [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

What are Jesus commandments? To Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
To Love your neighbor as you love yourself. On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.”

what does that mean? It means if you love God with all your heart and all your soul you won't go against Him, or have other Gods before Him, you will keep Him first and seek to do His will. You would never use His name in vain or as a swear word. You would obey Him.

And the second is like it, love your neighbor as you love yourself
what does it mean with relation to the law and the prophets? It means if you love your neighbor as you love yourself you won't covet his wife or his belongings, you won't steal from him, you won't bare false witness against him, you would never murder him, you would forgive him.

Jesus gave us the golden rule do unto others as youm would have them do unto you.

John 13:34
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.



Jesus commandments are even stricter than the old 10 and if you obey all the teachings of Jesus, well then you'd have to repent, rejoice, let your light shine, do not lust, keep your word, go the second mile, love your enemies, give and pray in secret, lay up treasures in heaven from good deeds, seek God's kingdom, judge not, make disciples, follow Him, be born again, baptize His disciples, , watch and pray, await His return, feed His sheep, bring in the poor, render to Ceasar. beware of covetousness, forgive offenders, honor marriage, be a servant, deny yourself, beware of leaven, honor your parents, take His yoke, fear not, worry not, be wise as serpents, pray for laborers, do not cast your pearls, choose the narrow path, ask seek knock, beware of false prophets

Now let's just say, love God, love your neighbor, and love one another, because Jesus said my yoke is easy my burden is light.

Not being under the law of Moses does not mean you have liscense to murder, cheat, steal, lie, and all lawlessness Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

when you repent you are changing your life away from "what you already broke" Jesus forgave us when we became born again, I SAID the Holy Spirit HELPS us keep the 10 commanments, which is the same as not doing ungodly things, they are there as a guideline, I never said He controls us. And of course we have free will, but it is easy to resist temptation when you have Jesus living His life in you and walk in the spirit who empowers us with the power of His spirit, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Christians who don't pray or read the word of God are obviously not hungry for God and I don't believe they had a true conversion and received the Holy Spirit especially if they are still living in sin they are not true believers
