But that contradicts what Paul said.
How can that be when Paul is the one that said it. Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Paul makes a distinction between Israel and the remnant.

Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
The elect remnant are Israel. The disobedient are cut off from Israel

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Romans 9:6-8

Paul says, "My heart's desire for Israel is that they might be saved." So, I presented two instances that Paul called the unsaved Jews Israel, and the saved Jews the elect, or remanent. I believe your argument is with Paul.

Don't you wonder how Jesus could commit iniquity?
In his humanity, Jesus was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Heb. 4:15). If there was no possibility that he could have succumbed to such temptations in his humanity, then they would not have truly been temptations.
What do you think of the dry bones of Ezekiel. Do you understand it to be literal?
In context, it seems to be referring to those who truly were a part of what the Bible calls the Israel of God (Gal. 6:16) being resurrected from the dead unto eternal life at a future time.

Eze 37:11
Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
Eze 37:12
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
Eze 37:13
And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
Eze 37:14
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

If you are wondering why I mentioned the Israel of God when the text mentions the whole house of Israel, then I will be happy to explain why I made the distinction. Simply put, if we look at the surrounding verses, and if we also look at the entirety of scripture, then it becomes clear that this was not a promise for all Israelites, but rather to the remnant who will have placed their saving faith in Christ.

Well said.

I do not believe all of these are saved, for it implies that the second death will have some power over them. At least as I understand them to be the second resurrection of Revelation 20. God also says he will judge between the sheep and the goats. We also see the ones that were marked in their foreheads because they cried out for the sin of Israel. (Ezekiel 9:4)

Eze 37:11

Where does it imply that the second death will have some power over them?
Okay.

Let's look at a slightly broader context of what you cited in your opening post.

Eze 37:24
And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
Eze 37:25
And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
Eze 37:26
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Eze 37:27
My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Eze 37:28
And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

The they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them part of verse 24 is directly related to what the LORD had spoken through Ezekiel earlier.

Eze 36:26
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The only ones who can truly walk in God's statutes, keep his judgments, and do them are the saved or those who have been the recipients of a new spirit and a new heart. This is who the LORD, through Ezekiel, is addressing in context.

Also, the promise of God being their God, and them being his people when the LORD sets his sanctuary in the midst of them, is a promise which is reiterated throughout both the old and new testaments alike. It finds its fulfillment here:

Rev 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The proper timeline for this is after Christ's Millennial Reign on earth or when the new heaven, new earth, and new Jerusalem come. No unsaved Israelites or Gentiles will be partakers of this promise. If we want to properly interpret scripture, then we need to pay close attention to all of the fine details.

Let's look at a slightly broader context of what you cited in your opening post.

Eze 37:24

Eze 37:25

Eze 37:26

To be accurate the Bible does not say they will reign with Christ on earth. It only says they will reign with Christ a thousand years.

As I read Ezekiel 37-39 there is a resurrection and then a battle with Gog and Magog.

This same battle occurs in Rev 20:7-9 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Eze 39:1Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

Eze 39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Eze 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

To be accurate the Bible does not say they will reign with Christ on earth. It only says they will reign with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 5:8
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Rev 5:9
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Rev 5:10
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

There are many other passages, in both the old and new testaments alike, which plainly indicate that the Millennial Reign of Christ will take place on this earth.

Yes, but that resurrection is the first resurrection (Rev. 20:5-6) which ushers in the Millennial Reign of Christ here on earth, and then the battle of Gog and Magog takes place right before the Great White Throne Judgment or before the second resurrection which occurs at the end of Christ's Millennial Reign.

Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Hos 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

Eze 34:24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

Eze 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

Eze 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:

and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. ….And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17-18, 24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it?

I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them. They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭48:3, 6-7, 12-13‬ ‭

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭66:22 KJV‬‬

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:10, 13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s only my opinion but I’d say Israel’s restoration will happen on the restored earth probably when the new Jerusalem comes from heaven to a new earth

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

note the names of Israel’s tribes remain also in tbe kingdom forever gates attended by angels

“…..had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So it appears israel will still be recognized on a new and restored earth when the new Jerusalem descends from heaven

I’d say after this happens

“the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. “

It wouldn’t make sense for him to restore them , only to destroy them again with fire . I would say it will happen when the new creation is revealed but it’s only my opinion .

it seems as though God has been planning a new and eternal creation for a very long time . since mankind defiled this one and condemned it to judgement . Now he appears to be harvesting people that will dwell there saving them from this doomed creation so they can inherit the new and eternal one with him .

I’d say Israel’s eternal promises will come then as everyone’s will in eternity with Jesus

Who or what are they reigning over in this millennium?

Yes, but that resurrection is the first resurrection (Rev. 20:5-6) which ushers in the Millennial Reign of Christ here on earth, and then the battle of Gog and Magog takes place right before the Great White Throne Judgment or before the second resurrection which occurs at the end of Christ's Millennial Reign.
You have the battle of Gog and Magog taking place during the Millennium, but how can that be?

The harvest of the wheat and tares takes place in Revelation 19, and it clearly says the remanent are slain. Clearly there is no living soul on earth during the Millennium, unless you are considering the resurrected from the first resurrection.

Satan is released after the thousand years, and then you see Gog and Magog.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Who or what are they reigning over in this millennium?
As I assume you already know, the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation work together like hand and glove. In other words, much of what we read about in the book of Revelation is the fulfillment of that which was previously prophesied in the book of Daniel. With this in mind, pay close attention to the following, and you will find the answer to your question.

Dan 7:11
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Dan 7:12
As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

In Bible prophecy, both beasts and horns are representative of kings and their kingdoms.

Dan 7:17
These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Dan 7:23
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Dan 7:24
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

When Daniel foresaw how the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame (Dan. 7:11), he foresaw the following:

Rev 19:20
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Contrary to what you have apparently been taught to believe, when this beast, or when the Antichrist, is slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame (Dan. 7:11), or when this beast is cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone, there will still be other beasts or other kingdoms on this earth, even as Daniel rightly foresaw and foretold.

Dan 7:12
As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

The rest of the beasts, or the rest of the kingdoms, will have their dominion taken away as Christ ushers in his Millennial Reign, yet their lives will be prolonged for a season and time.

In answer to your question, this is who and what Christ and the saints who are a part of the first resurrection (Rev. 20:5-6) will be reigning over.

I will answer your other question in a separate post when I have the time to do so.

The harvest of the wheat and tares takes place in Revelation 19.
No, it doesn't.

First, here is the parable:

Mat 13:24
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Mat 13:25
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Mat 13:26
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Mat 13:27
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Mat 13:28
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat 13:29
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Now, here is Jesus' interpretation of this parable:

Mat 13:36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Mat 13:37
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Mat 13:38
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mat 13:39
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Mat 13:41
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

For starters, the harvest is the end of the world (vs. 39), and, in context, this does not take place immediately after Christ returns. Instead, at his second coming, Christ will usher in his Millennial or 1000-year Reign during which both he and the resurrected saints will judge amongst the nations which will still be here during that timeframe (Dan. 7:12).

Rev 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Also, notice the very important distinction that Christ made in Matt. 13:41 and Matt. 13:43 between his (Christ's) kingdom and the kingdom of their Father. Christ's kingdom reign will last 1000 years, and then he will deliver the kingdom up to his Father, and that is the timeframe that Jesus was speaking of in his parable of the wheat and the tares. The Apostle Paul put it this way:

1Co 15:20
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:27
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1Co 15:28
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Christ is the firstfruits of them that slept (vs. 20) or the firstfruits (vs. 23), and Paul referred to him this way because Jesus was the first person to be raised from the dead unto eternal life, and his resurrection occurred on the Jewish Feast of Firstfruits. Afterwards, the saints will be resurrected at his coming (vs. 23) or at his second coming.

1Co 15:24
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.,

Again, notice the distinction between his (Christ's) kingdom (Matt.13:41) and the kingdom of their Father (Matt. 13:43), or notice how Christ shall have delivered the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power."

As I have already correctly stated, at his second coming, Jesus will usher in his Millennial Reign, and at the end of his Millennial Reign, he will deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father (1 Cor. 15:24). This is the proper end-times chronology or timeline, and Paul continued on to further explain it when he said the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (1 Cor. 15:26). Death is the last enemy (1 Cor. 15:26) of the all enemies (1 Cor. 15:25) that Jesus needs to put under his feet (1 Cor. 15:26) before delivering the kingdom up to his Father.

I ran out of space, so please see my next post for the conclusion of what I am saying.

When is death destroyed?

Rev 20:7
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:11
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

At the end of Christ's Millennial Reign, Satan will be loosed in order to cause one final rebellion against God and his people. When that rebellion has been quenched, Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, and the great white throne judgment of Christ will come. It is at the time of the great white throne judgment that death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:14), and this is when the last enemy of death will be destroyed (1 Cor. 15:26).

This is the timeline that Jesus was actually talking about in the parable of the wheat and tares. At the end of his Millennial Reign, and not at the time of his second coming, the angels will gather out of his (Christ's) kingdom (Matt. 13:41) the tares to be burned as the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire, and then shall the righteous shine forth in the kingdom of their Father (Matt. 13:43) as Christ delivers up the kingdom to God at that point in time.

Most of what I believe has come from the Bible and not man.

What I believe about Daniel.

The four kingdoms were Babylon, Medes & Persians, Greeks, and Rome. This is a Jewish book about Jews. This was about the age of the Law and was finished when the Law was completed.

Many historians are inclined to believe that Nero was that beast.

Mat 13:37
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Mat 13:38
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mat 13:39
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Mat 13:41
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Notice that Matthew 13:40 says "end of this world." That world ended in 70 AD.

Matthew 12:32 "---- neither in this world, G165 neither in the world to come."

You have gone to a lot of work to explain, and I really appreciate that. I have read it all.

You will really not agree with many things that I believe, and you may well be right. I believe that when Jesus and John said that these things will shortly come to pass, that they did. You might ask where does that leave us? It leaves us with a loving Saviour who is good, and righteous, and true.

On occasion I read the New Testament.

Have you read where Paul said the eyes of the Jews are blinded until the fulness of the Gentiles comes in?

Have you read where Paul said, be not high minded? Paul said the Jew was not cut off so that you might be saved, but rather the Jew was cut-off because of un-belief.

The Jew is yet to have his earthly kingdom here on earth. On an earth that will be re-furbished. They rejected their King, so God will give them David.

The Gentile will be the nursing father for the Jew. The Gentile will lick the dust from the feet of the Jew, and praise God for it.
This seems to be a pointless debate. How does any deduced answer make its propounder more Christ-like, which is the purpose of the Gospel. My own theory is that in the millenium resurrected descendants of Jacob will be given dominion over the geographical area defined by Ezekiel, and King David will be among those Jews.

Eze 34:24 And I the LORD (Jesus) will be their (Israel's) God, and my servant David (King David) a prince among them; I the LORD (Jesus) have spoken it.
