The works of any Believer is to fight the good fight of Faith. God will not accept anything else from any man or woman but faith (and praise) in His Son Jesus. The scripture says, "THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASE, AND LISTEN TO HIM." God never said that about any Believer. Psalm 39:5 says, "...every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah." In other words we are all wretched and vile, daily. Anything and everything that is not Faith in Christ and Him Crucified is judge as iniquity (Matthew 7:21-23).

The Holy Spirit keeps all commandments for the Believer by delivering us into the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord when our Faith is placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won. That is why it is called the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:2). Jesus said, "let him deny himself, and take up his cross.

Question? How do I deny myself and take up my cross daily so that the I (Believer) my receive all the benefits of this resurrection life (Luke 9:23)?
We receive the benefits by believing God as He gives us his faith to make it possible.

If we would believe our own selves (the imagination of our heart) we simply make the faith of Christ which comes from hearing God without effect.

From my experience many do not believe God has faith or needs it to work out the good pleasure of His will .

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.Romans3:3-4

To effect something is to work it out.

Because we have the treasure of His authroty in these earthen bodies we can work it out as he does work in us . He will not forget the good works we have shown towards his name'

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philipians 2:13

I would suggest changing the word in (towards) to of (coming from) .

Its the father of lies who would turn that upside down making the thing formed as that seen the temporal the final authority and therefore take away the understanding of eternal God not seen.

As apologist we defend the faith of Christ (not of our own selves) as the sword of the Spirit. It as it is written defends us .Like the flaming sword like in the garden that protects the way to God . Jesus is the way

We are to put on and not take off the armor of God. Again he does the defending.

Ephesians 6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The full armor of God or any other scripture is added by the Holy Spirit when the Believer has sanctifying peace with God (this peace with God in the heart). Few enter into this rest.

If we were intended to be passive recipients of the blessings of God, Paul was wrong, for he wrote, "Put on the full armour of God". That requires active participation, not passive reception.

Hebrews chapter 4 in telling the Believer that we must enter into God's rest which is called SANCTIFYING PEACE. Failure to do so, the Believer will die (spiritual) in the wilderness. Most do!

There are two kinds of peace with God the Father:

1. Justifying Peace - This is Peace with God, a legal standing (Rom. 5:1, 8:7; Eph. 2:14-15).
2. Sanctifying Peace - This is the Peace of God in the heart (Rom. 8:6, 14:19, 15:13; Gal. 1:3; 1 Thess. 5:23).

The first is the result of a legal standing. The second is the result of the Work of the Holy Spirit. The first is static, never fluctuates, the second changes almost from hour to hour. The first, every Christian has, the second, every Christian may have.

Sanctifying peace allows the Holy Spirit to deliver the Believer into the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, so that the life of Christ is manifested and lived through the Believer by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a living sacrifice that is pleasing and acceptable to God (John 14:21, Rom. 8:2, 13; 2 Cor. 4:11; Gal. 2:20-21).

The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:14). "In Justification, the Lord fights 'for' us, and in Sanctification, He fights 'in' us."

SANCTIFYING PEACE = The LORD's REST / ONLY A FEW FINDING IT (Matthew 7:13-14)

Question for all? How do we enter into His rest?
This is a corruption of the scriptural concept of sanctification. Hebrews 4 doesn't use anything approaching the term "sanctifying peace" so the phrase in bold is not true.

:unsure:I better start checking the scripture when people say that the scripture Is saying something that It doesn't say.

The greater one's general understanding and knowledge of Scripture, the less one should need to check. However, it's usually good to check specifics before responding to a specific assertion.

I've seen enough from "JSM" quoted by MoTC that I tend to assume that most of the assertions are not consistent with Scripture. Swaggart has invented a new vocabulary of redefined biblical-sounding terms which serve to confuse those unfamiliar with Scripture.

I will say that It's a sad day when a report Is bad and not unifying and strengthening us all.

I was taking It for granted that those scriptures were buttressing points but they were being butchered.
Sigh...

Excellent question.

Romans 7

“15 For that which I do (the failure) I allow not (should have been translated, “I understand not”; these are not the words of an unsaved man, as some claim, but rather a Believer who is trying and failing): for what I would, that do I not (refers to the obedience he wants to render to Christ, but rather fails; why? as Paul explained, the Believer is married to Christ, but is being unfaithful to Christ by spiritually cohabiting with the Law, which frustrates the Grace of God; that means the Holy Spirit will not help such a person, which guarantees failure [Gal. 2:21]); but what I hate, that do I (refers to sin in his life which he doesn’t want to do, and in fact hates, but finds himself unable to stop; unfortunately, due to the fact of not understanding the Cross as it refers to Sanctification, this is the plight of most modern Christians).”

“16 If then I do that which I would not (presents Paul doing something against his will; he doesn’t want to do it, and is trying not to do it, whatever it might be, but finds himself doing it anyway), I consent unto the Law that it is good (simply means that the Law of God is working as it is supposed to work; it defines sin, portraying the fact that the sin nature will rule in man’s heart if not addressed properly).”

“17 Now then it is no more I that do it (this has been misconstrued by many! it means, “I may be failing, but it’s not what I want to do”; no true Christian wants to sin because now the Divine Nature is in his life and it is supposed to rule, not the sin nature [II Pet. 1:4]), but sin (the sin nature) that dwells in me (despite the fact that some preachers claim the sin nature is gone from the Christian, Paul here plainly says that the sin nature is still in the Christian; however, if our Faith remains constant in the Cross, the sin nature will be dormant, causing us no problem; otherwise, it will cause great problems; while the sin nature “dwells” in us, it is not to “rule” in us).”

Very - Very Important: If any Believer try's to do what the scripture says do in their own will-power, strength, and ability, the sin nature that was made dormant (not eliminated) when you where born-again, will be activated (the works of the flesh will manifest - Gal. 5:19-21). The Law says do - Grace says done. This is why I stated only the Holy Spirit can do what the scriptures ask of us through Faith in Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won.

What do I know if I am walking after the flesh or walking after the Spirit?

How do I walk after the Spirit?

What happens if I continue to walk after the flesh?
Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

According to Galatians 5:21 If we walk after flesh, we not going to inherit the kingdom of God.

Mean not going to heaven, mean go To hell

Only 2 alternative for eternity, heaven or hell. So not inherit the kingdom of God mean go to hell.

This is scary, I have a friend, he is a "Christian" for long time, he was a poor, and not Cheating his wife, after he become rich, he cheat his wife have a girl friend and slept with some women. He know that It is sin but he believe that kind of sin not bring him to hell.

I do not know If he have good interpretation of this verse above, but seem to me adultery, is include in the list of not inherit the kingdom of God.

But he have strong argument, If this verse true, No man go to heaven. Because adultery not only mean have sex to non wife, If you do in your mind It consider adultery.

Is that verse wrong?

I don't think so, but If we make a mistake and walk after flesh, we better repent and ask forgiveness.

This friend tend to believe one save always save No matter what you do.

My Brother in Christ, keep your Faith in Christ and Him Crucified. Many of the things you read on here is birth by demon spirits. Flesh will respond to flesh, flesh will not respond to the Spirit (The Cross). Many Believers believe they can do what the scriptures ask of us in our own strength, ability, and will-power. This is reverting back to the “LAW.”

“18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed (revert back to the Law), I make myself a transgressor. (To revert to any type of Law is a departure from God’s Prescribed Order of Victory [the Cross], and is sin).” Gal. 2:18

Where is your evidence? You make bland accusations with no evidence. That is cowardly.

Quote JUST ONE STATEMENT that you believe is "birth" (sic) by demon spirits. Just one. Show why you think it is such. Provide biblical support... from the Bible, not the corrupted commentary you're so fond of quoting.

If you can't put up, then withdraw the accusation!
