If we baptize in the name of the Father, and His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, would that be okay?
Consider the significance that the use of the phrase can be found nowhere in scripture.

Jesus instructed to baptize IN THE NAME. Scripture and history reveal the name being referred to is Jesus.
I respectfully disagree. Jesus instructed to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The only way to get around this is by grasping at straws that make no sense. No one can get get around Jesus' own words no matter how much they might hate the RCC.

Another ridicilous claim that the apostle Peter just didnt get it and wasted time baptizing people in water. Paul wasted time as well in Acts 16? What is this modern weird theology.

Here you go..

After all those early water baptisms? It took Peter a while to connect with the new Life in Christ.
For Peter forgot what Jesus had told him about water baptism being replaced with Spirit!

Then Peter finally remembered and we see him water baptizing no more.

He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa
for Simon who is called Peter. He will bring you a message through which you and
all your household will be saved.’

“As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.
Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized
with the Holy Spirit.’
Acts 11:13-16

He just remembered! Peter had forgotten what Jesus had said in Acts 1:5!!!!!!!!!!

"For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 1:5
With all the new and strange and amazing things taking place?
Its understandable how Peter could have been distracted and forgot..

It embarrassing at first to be shown how one has been wrong about what one feels very strongly about.
That is why Jesus said if we are to follow Him we must deny self and take up our own cross.....

It hurts at first. But, makes way to have truth take up residence in our soul which Christ was being denied before.

grace and peace ...............

so basically your calling peter an ignorant false teacher 🤔
No he made mistakes . Just like Paul did, who was talked into going to the Temple to offer a sacrifice to show the Jews that he was not against Moses... and it nearly got Paul entered into the sin unto death. Don't you remember? Its why he went into chains.

We need to understand. Great believers did do some stupid things at times. David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband killed in battle. Great David whom Jesus will sit on his throne some day...

Many more mature Christians can now laugh at what they did as a baby Christian. And? Peter was a "baby Christian."

Peter came out of Judaism. Christianity was a new learning experience.

sorry but your claims are still calling Peter a false ignorant teacher, however you try to justify it.

1 Peter 3:21

New International Version

21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[a] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

If you think water baptism doesn't save anybody, that's entirely up to your self.
But unfortunately DANGEROUS for people who were baptized, and led to believe the LIE that they were now O.K. spiritually, even though they were NEVER Born again and cleansed from their SIN by the SIN OFFERING of Jesus on the cross.

When they find themselves in HELL, their excuse: "But I was Baptized, and the church told me I was O.K." won't get 'em anywhere!!!!

it appears you dont like being linked to being a Muslim, but yet you don't mind asking if I'm a Muslim in another thread.

And now it appears your back to doing what you do best, which is insulting peoples intelligence. 😊 Have a great day 👍
if you were asked if you were a or are Muslim, is different than saying

"So in away your like Muslim 😊"

again you have issues.

No hate going on. And, there is no need to grasp at straws. Jesus' own words testify that the name above all names was to be used in baptism. The apostles' actions confirm this truth as well; there is not one occurrence of their using the phrase Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Why? Because clearly they understood they were required to obey Jesus' command, not just repeat it.

Also, for the record, see the truth recorded in a RCC publication. Read the paragraph, Into Christ below:

Your all clearly in error here @CS1 @GRACE_ambassador @Genez @Bob-Carabbio @ResidentAlien

Look I'll show you

Acts 2.38

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:47-48
47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Acts 10:47-48 clearly suggests all disputes had been settled, and that it didn't matter if you said I baptise you in the name of the the son the father and the holy spirit. Or if I baptise you in Jesus name only.

Because why

Because saved people already had the authority,

Both passages are the same baptism. requiring water, for remission of sins, and acts 10:47 is the final settlement, for the rest of the new testament and today, on how people should be baptised today.

You don't even need the authority if your saved. And you don't need to say anything really.

So Peter was not ignoring the commandment of Jesus to baptise people in the name of the son the father and the holy spirit.

Acts 10:47 is the final settlement of how to baptise for today.

It's not right that @Genez and @ResidentAlien should say any baptism only done in Jesus name only is not legit, because believer are already saved and don't need the authority, to say I baptise you in name of the son the father and the Holy Guost.

And besides this, you only ask for authority if you dont have it,

So just say I baptise in Jesus name is sufficient. 😊

obviously 1 peter 3:21 eludes you.
So, following your pontification, I should throw away EVERY OTHER SCRIPTURE in the Bible about salvation, in exchange for 1 Pet 3:21. I don't believe I will, thank you!!!

Personally, I like Eph 2:8,9 plus all the OTHER SCRIPTURES that teach FAITH IN THE SIN OFFERING OF JESUS ON CALVARY as the basis for salvation.

"Baptismal Regeneration" is "Just another satanic LIE" among many, that this or that "denominational theologian" teaches.

BUT HEY!!!! 4 days after I was born again by faith, and indwelled by the Holy Spirit, I got dunked in the heated tank at Greenwood Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX, so I'm covered!!!! HEY!!! I even got my head wet, at St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral in Boston back in ' 42 to restore peace in the historically Catholic Carabbio family!!! Got ALL the bases covered!!!

The thief on the cross who believed was definitely water baptized after he believed....

Its obvious! Or, he could not be saved.

End of story.
