If this is so, then the nation in which you reside must not be deceived. Please list the current nations that are not deceived.
Nations that are Christ friendly. Europe, America, not China etc.

So those Christians presently being persecuted and killed for their faith in China somehow do not qualify for the privilege of having Satan no longer deceive their nation?

They have great rewards. And it's part of our calling. Look at what Nero did to us.

God uses Satan every day to bring his wrath on the ungodly. But the Gospel binds him from deceiving the nations where believers are.
There are Christians in the USA. Do you think the SCOTUS gas been decieved about anything? Gay marriage? Killing babies?

The USA, Britain and most of Europe has been supportive of Christ until the last several decades. This is why I believe Satan is now being loosed and we are in the last half of Revelation 20. Just before the Lord returns.

Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. This means all listed in Hebrews 11 were born again.
In both you are right.( born again is maby the wrong word, better is saved.) But there is still no proof that the OT believers had the Holy Spirit living permanent in, as the believer since pentecost have it.

Just skip over many centuries of problems in history pre and post Reformation.

No, the Baptism was unique to the Apostles and Cornelius' house. And those they laid hands on.
Absolute nonsense as Acts 2v16-21,38,39 shows: "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

You write in your very first post: "(I used to be Pentecostal)," from reading your posts I have come to the conclusion that you don't have the first idea of what the baptism in the Holy Spirit is and haven't experienced it!

I am curious, when you see scriptures like these, do you perceive a blank page? Do you see squiggles and not words? Or does the lack of perception occur in the mind somewhere, so that you see the words and know what each word means but the meaning is lost? Are there words you see there, but they are different from what others of us see?

Matthew 3
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
....

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Perhaps your Jesus but the Jesus of the bible is here to save souls not do wonders to delight the flesh of sinful men.

Back to finding scripture that is not part of the original documents. Believers are to be witnesses of Jesus power, power to save men from their sins not to speak in tongues or to cast out demons.

Your focus is wrong. You are looking for proof because you cannot believe.

For the cause of Christ

Dear Lord ....you never read the gospels huh?

Such basic knowledge evades you.
Almost all he did was in the realm of miracles
In fact, when John questioned his authenticity
Scripture shows besides the two outpourings, only an apostle can give the gifts. And when they died the gifts ceased. And Paul had Timothy on medicine and other helpers sick and left behind in the Epistles.
Out of all the healing verses in the nt,the cessationists jettisons all to cling to some misframed verses to "prove" their point.
So blatantly offensive to the testimony of Jesus.

Notice how healing and forgiveness(salvation) interchange when Jesus heals on the sabbath.
Iow the gospel provides healing in the same covenant.
Healing was a huge part of Jesus ministry.
But beyond that, the gospel went forth with signs following.

Miracles galore everywhere Jesus went.

But you come along and claim that is a diffferent Jesus than the one you endorse.

Wow,your deal is perverted sir.
A nutered Gospel with a powerless Jesus.

I really think this fellow is intentionally stirring up dissention. He has not stated what his purpose with the thread is. He wants people to "prove" that they have something by raising the dead (which is borderline blasphemous) and every time he claims he will do something he uses a rather unsatisfactory answer that he cannot do it for "this reason or that reason" or "you just wouldn't get it". So then why have the thread at all? Consider "if ye are the Son of God turn these stones into bread."

It is clearly stirring up some strife for no reason. Let him go the way of other posters who just parrot what some other theologian has said in endless blocks of repostings. This is what people are reading that are guests and there were 3,500 guests yesterday at one point...it makes sense to not bump it and this will be my last post on this thread (Lord willing).

If you had legitimately seen someone raised from the dead you would not convince them as they didn't personally witness it and therefore it is hearsay. I imagine a scenario where they happened upon Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus and while yes a man named Lazarus died they didn't see him die and it is possible that whoever was in the tomb was merely an actor and it was all a charade as he happened across the event. Does anyone not see how the self same disbelief can easily apply across the board to faith in its entirety?

It somehow reminds me of the scripture about "entering the sheep pen another way".

These people will get what they want if they happen to survive long enough to observe the Lord working within the two witnesses. Much like Balaam, I fear, it will be to no effect. I pray not, and that there are some that "proof" decides things for them (like Thomas) but even such a person as that must be on guard against many things.

Essentially this person believes that they are correct and that everyone else is incorrect. Are they testing the Lord? From my experience yes. I am not the Lord and it could be that he has leniency for each person depending on factors that cannot be quantified but that some consensus is reasonable within the body.

Read my post 408 and to add, your suggestion
Nations that are Christ friendly. Europe, America, not China etc.
Maby, you should realize, that no Nation is Christfriendly. In europe you rarely find a country with more then 3% born again christians. How to speak from christfriendly europe? In china you will find more christians then in europe.
