Where does your that disagree with Scripture? And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
Jesus went on to say "those who believe and are baptised shall be saved, those who believe not shall be damned"
"... who believe not ..." He doesn't say "who believe not and are not baptised"
I have said in a previous post those who are insisting upon the absolute necessity of water baptism are going against the testament of MILLIONS of Christians down the ages who know their sins are forgiven and experience the new birth before water baptism some never do get baptised ... for a 1, 000 years biblical baptism was replaced by sprinkling.
Here is something folks ought to know, God may make a rule or ordinance but whether or not He enforces the laws and ordinances He makes is according to His own sovereign grace. Baptism is an ordinance not a sacrament, sacraments impart nothing.
I have met Christians who have told me that God told them they must be baptised and I believe them ... their salvation would not depend upon it but their joy with the Lord might be forfeit.
