But when you read actual CRT texts you find that they say racism and disparate racial outcomes are the result of complex, changing, and often subtle social and institutional dynamics, rather than explicit and intentional prejudices of individuals. CRT also rejects the idea that race is in any way biological, race is a social construct and in reality there is only one race. CRT recognizes that racism is codified in law, embedded in social norms, and woven into public policy. All of which can be documented. It also notes that most people don't recognize the undercurrent of racism in our society because most are raised to not see it and that is no one's fault. Roy Brooks the originator of CRT wrote that the only way to overcome the racial problems in America is for everyone...EVERYONE to sit down and have an adult conversation about confronting the legal and social policies that are the root of the problem.
So we can go back and forth on what are facts concerning CRT. I was going to show a video and ask you if it represent CRT in your opinion. But the language in the video is not going to fly here on a Christian forum. Have you heard of Race 2 Dinner? Under the title "Deconstructing Karen 2022 " a full documentary you can find it on Youtube. I'd like to know if you find anything wrong with the video, or it you feel it represents CRT.

not really as the people who developed CRT are the ones who get to say what CRT is and is not. ANd what they say is a far cry form the the conservative fear mongering that gets presented as CRT.

Film Critic Steven Silver summed up this film nicely: "Resembles a conservative’s imagination of what they think 'critical race theory' is, more resembling a hazing ritual than the type of dialogue one might associate with reconciliation and understanding."

That is pure baloney. CRT = BLACK RACISM.

Do you know how it has already influenced everything in the USA and Canada? Just take a close look at absolutely every advertisement. You will invariably see a black person, rather than any other ethnic group. This has happened virtually overnight and no one has commented on this Black Racism. What about Native Americans, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans? They do not exist. As for Whites, Farrakhan said "Kill all Whites". So do we want Black Racism to replace White Racism (which was virtually gone until the Obamas began to use the race card)?.

But the problem is they aren't telling US what CRT is. If you want people to panic, be vague. I have asked and asked on social media what CRT is and I get a mocking " you don't know what it is!" and I'm thinking well neither do you because you can't explain it to me! I'm reading up on it and it has an influence from Marxism, oppressors vs the oppressed. I get that is simplified. Maybe we need to start a thread for a discussion on the subject.

Ok, I believe that is out of Canada. They can be tough. And the women there paid for that encounter. And yet they did discuss racism and I have heard the same theme before. Everyone is racist, they either won't admit it or know it. I'd start a thread but I don't know how many would take part...

I said to my hubby I would be totally offended if I were black right now. At first Hollywood almost totally ignored anyone who was black or minority. Virtually all beauty companies did. And now suddenly they can't get enough in front of the camera. I would feel utterly used. In exercise commercials you know notice large, overweight black women. I just shake my head. Just totally using people. BLM did the same thing. You were told you were flat out racist if you disagreed with BLM. A lady on FB who taught me in Sunday school hinted that I was racist because I disagreed with BLM. I asked her if she had read anything on them. She said she hadn't so I directed her to their "home" page where they said in their own words that they were Marxist and against the nuclear family. smh And then what happened? They took the money and ran. Big surprise.

sure they are, they have been doing so for decades. but you actually have to read what they publish.

there is nothing vague about the main tenants of CRT.

total bull.

Acknowledging that families come in all shapes and forms is not an attack on any form of the family.

Here is what they actually said:
"We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children"

no one is against the nuclear family and no one is trying to destroy it.

How can both of these be true?! Marxism certainly isn't for the family structure. And BLM founders are Marxist.

Oh I know, they are pretty tricky.
I think the message they are trying to send is that one religion doesn't get to have a monopoly on religious freedom

Link me! Everyone is telling me what I think is wrong. But no one has the right answer. I have yet to talk to anyone that can tell me A,B and C this is what CRT believes and stands for. I've been looking and waiting for one person to answer me.

there is nothing vague about the main tenants of CRT.
Again, link me! No one has shown me they have any knowledge of what CRT is, they just say what I think it is is wrong.

are you reading any of the actual text?

I will when you link me! Again there are tons of sites for and against and a whole lot of reading. But whatever I discover people say "no that's not it". So I'm all for reading, but I don't have all day to try and find this "hidden" truth that seems to elude everybody. What are the tenants of CRT I bet if I Google that I still wouldn't get the "correct" answer.

So I'm going to take a whack at this again. Tell me if I have it "right" this time.

While recognizing the evolving and malleable nature of CRT, scholar Khiara Bridges outlines a few key tenets of CRT, including:

  • Recognition that race is not biologically real but is socially constructed and socially significant. It recognizes that science (as demonstrated in the Human Genome Project) refutes the idea of biological racial differences. According to scholars Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic, race is the product of social thought and is not connected to biological reality.
  • Acknowledgement that racism is a normal feature of society and is embedded within systems and institutions, like the legal system, that replicate racial inequality. This dismisses the idea that racist incidents are aberrations but instead are manifestations of structural and systemic racism.
  • Rejection of popular understandings about racism, such as arguments that confine racism to a few “bad apples.” CRT recognizes that racism is codified in law, embedded in structures, and woven into public policy. CRT rejects claims of meritocracy or “colorblindness.” CRT recognizes that it is the systemic nature of racism that bears primary responsibility for reproducing racial inequality.
  • Recognition of the relevance of people’s everyday lives to scholarship. This includes embracing the lived experiences of people of color, including those preserved through storytelling, and rejecting deficit-informed research that excludes the epistemologies of people of color.

Where are the whites in ads any more? What is the proportion of whites to blacks? What about Indians to blacks? Or Chinese?

there are plenty of text out there: Critical Race Theory (Third Edition): An Introduction and Critical Race Theory: The Key Writings That Formed the Movement These are by actual CRT theorists.

the basics are not difficult to find:

Recognition that race is not biologically real but is socially constructed and socially significant. It recognizes that science (as demonstrated in the Human Genome Project) refutes the idea of biological racial differences. According to scholars Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic, race is the product of social thought and is not connected to biological reality.

Racism is a normal feature of society and is embedded within systems and institutions of America, like the legal system, and the financial system.

There are two forms of racism, one popularly envisioned a race based violence, the KKK, overt violence and cross burning. The second invilvles the collective attitudes and super situations of all members of society CRT rejects the popular understandings about racism, such as arguments that confine racism to a few “bad apples.” CRT recognizes that racism is codified in law, embedded in structures, and woven into public policy. CRT rejects claims of meritocracy or “colorblindness.” CRT recognizes that it is the systemic nature of racism that bears primary responsibility for reproducing racial inequality.

These inequities re held in place by legal statue, they can include racial profiling, inequities in the legal system and unwritten rules in financial systems

The only way do deal with this second form is through open and honest conversations

That is CRT in a nutshell[/QUOTE]

So my question to all the blacks who live in America but want Black Racism is this: "Why do you not migrate to South Africa or Zimbabwe where Black Racism prevails?" You would love how those governments treat whites.
