Netanyahu urges supporters to 'close this gap' ahead of Israeli election

With his party facing a surprise defeat in looming parliamentary elections, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rallied thousands of supporters in Tel Aviv Sunday, warning of a "real danger" he could lose the premiership of a country he has governed for the past six years.

The latest polls have shown Netanyahu's conservative Likud party trailing the centrist Zionist Union by four seats. The numbers don't rule out Netanyahu's chances to form a government, but they have rattled his party, sending it into a get-out-the-vote blitz. Netanyahu has delivered a series of media interviews in recent days and decided at the last minute to speak at the Tel Aviv rally in a bid to shore up votes ahead of Tuesday's election.

If Netanyahu loses, it will largely be Obama's fault, who hates the Israeli PM so much, he has sent members from his two election teams in '08 and '12 to work for the defeat of Netanyahu by centrist Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog. Fox News reports today that Obama has given federal funds to U.S.-based nonprofit to help upset Netanyahu:

What is sad is that you don't realize that Israel stands between radical Islamic terrorism and the rest of the world, and a weak, reluctant Israeli government would allow, if possible, those terrorists to destroy the nation. However, as we seen from Ezekiel 38 & 39, it is not possible. God will intervene when the enemies of God come to believe they are able to facilitate such destruction.

The mess, as the Bible says, will be testament to God's power, and the still-chosen status of Israel the spiritual nation.

Before you start whining, "The GOP sent their people over to help Netanyahu!" -- Key difference: The GOP didn't dip into federal "discretionary funds" and give $350,000 to OneVoice International which then gave the money to V15, Isaac Herzog's campaign committee. That is apparently what Obama did, and a bipartisan investigation by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee -- see the OP -- is being organized because of it. Heck, even my idiot leftie Sen. Claire McCaskill, the ranking member, is pushing for it!
