I thought that was only if you checked into the hotel.
Nope, the only way to explain the laws in California is they must allow the residents to check out, whether induced by drugs, alcohol, or some other means.

I think he meant this vintage Eagles song.

Hotel California 😉

I Recognize the lyrics from the book, Pied Piper of Rocknroll by Dennis Corral.

Weed is legal in california. Why not take some of that tax revenue and put it towards homeless shelters?

They estimate that it would cost $8 billion a year to deal with the homeless in California. Estimated yearly tax revenue from Cannabis is $200 million, about 2% of what it would take. Now if California offers housing for the homeless you can imagine more and more homeless will come from the rest of the country.

You actually have a good point. Why aren't all the rich liberals and politicians of California taking the homeless off the streets and welcoming them into their own homes/estates? Instead, the rich liberals build fences around their property and hire security to make sure that the homeless can't even see them and so that they don't have to see the homeless.

In fact, the rich liberals and politicians want nothing to do at all, in terms of personal interaction, with the homeless. Instead they foist them upon the middle class communities. Sad but true.

Danielle Steel would go round with a team in busses/vans at night giving out packs to the homeless, she funded it all herself
in the packs were sleeping bags, puffy jackets, food rations, toiletries etc.

I dont personally know what its like to live in San Francisco as never been there, but I have read she did this.

In Auckland we have temporary housing and a lot of 'slum' housing is quickly going up, like huge blocks of cheap stuck together houses, we'll soon have our own favelas. Because Auckland is a city with a good climate, i,e no harsh winter, maybe just wet, everyone wants to live here. But rents are rising and its expensive. Most of the 'gated' communities are the newe retirement villages.

The rich liberals have Lifestyle blocks and town houses or holiday homes in the resort towns further away. These often get used as squatting places for P labs if the owners dont keep an eye on it. Theres also landbanking...foreigners and rich people buying up homes for their proerty portfolios.

Real estate agents make a killing in Auckland, land value has sky rocketed.

Public libraries are often a place where homeless peeps hang out.

Christians must remember that Jesus was homeless when he was doing his ministry, and also he was a refugee. He relied on the kindness of others to put him up. He had no place to rest his weary head.

He was born in a stable, and there was no room at the inn.

Her deeds are nice but do nothing to solve the underlying problems. She's handing out but not pulling up...giving fish but never teaching anyone how.

Paul was a tentmaker

Also recall that the Hebrews were kicked out of Egypt and shown the promised land of Canaan which was to be their home. They had a hard time keeping it though.

I know but what is your solution then? Education? Free education?
