Neutilius,

be real sweetie, it truly is a very big deal to many people on many fronts...

none of us may never really know 'his' why, but the world has been affected
by this act of disrespect, and definitely not in a Godly way...

I'm talking about the kind of love we should have for our neighbor.
GOD first loved us,we should love our neighbor.

Any kind of ministering of love that doesn't edify the person being ministered to,Is just for appearance, noise.
Well again love without correction or truth is not biblical love ...and you are misquoting a scripture and taking it out of its context.

You dont sound like you understand the NFL policy ...and its good you decided to join in with the stupid people on this stupid thread .... what does that make you?
You need to get the NFL rulebook. It clearly states that they do not force their players to take part in the national anthem. You need to study more about the NFL before you make comments.

That sure doesn't match your outcry about legitimate police actions. LOL
what legitimate police actions?... being the crap out of a woman for refusing to put out a cigarette in her own car?
wwe slamming a 90 plus year old woman onto the pavement at Walmart?
Shooting a man in the back while he's walking away?...

The right to do something and the right thing to do and are always the same thing
Let's get this right...because we have a legal right to do something that makes it morally acceptable? That's insane

Glad you looked it up.. now the fact is the NFL could demand this loser stay off the filed during the national anthem ... what's this jerk going to do when he goes to court ..refuse to stand for the judge. Only one solution for pride filled people like this ...break them

The minute you make standing for the national anthem mandatory its no longer pride or patriotism. Is forced behavior.

We shouldn't have to make it mandatory. No one should use our flag or nation anthem to protest anything. As my 3yo great granddaughter would tell you. Not standing is "just plain wrong".

While it is an annoying stunt, Kaepernick has his right to not stand for the national anthem.
He also has the right to deal with any repercussions that result from his "right" to do what he wants to do.

He's a terrible QB and always has been. For that reason, the 49ers should pay him the rest of his contract that is guaranteed and let him go :p

Lots of "forced" behavior when you represent a team or a company ...when he joined the team he understood he surrendered certain aspects of his own personal agenda. Lots of people don't like everything they do for work or whatever, but when they take a job that's part of the job.... This guy would not even be a public figure if not for being on a team ... As a team member he should represent the team, not his own personal opinion...especially on this issue.

It's a good and decent thing to do. It is respectful. Respect and gratitude is sorely lacking with the next generation. Entitled bratty behavior is the norm. Like this guy just displayed.

Thats well and good but its a personal choice he made. There is no law or rule in NFL stating that he has to stand. Sure he might have offended some people but he did nothing illegal.

A team whose owner supported his decision by saying standing is not mandatory.

Lot of things are not mandatory ..but could become so if need be ...they guy new the "team" stood and honored the nation and the flag before every game when he took the job. According to the other players, he is not much of a teammate and the owner could make him stay off the field if he wont stand, like the NBA did for one jerk
