Obama is doing what MANY presidents and MANY public officials have done in the past. He is filing a brief stating his opinion. That's it. Neither him nor anyone else is trying to dictate the Court's decision. He's stating his beliefs and his constitutional knowledge of why gay marriage can't be banned on legal grounds. It's pretty simple if you know how court cases work.

Actually, proponents of marriage equality say the 14th Amendment DOES cover gay marriage. Equal protection under the law. What the Bible says (or actually, what you people THINK it says) is irrelevant for a secular nation with freedom of religion. According to God's law, children should be stoned to death for disobeying their parents, women should be killed for having premarital sex and eating shrimp is an abomination. Adultery, lying and using the Lord's name in vein should be illegal, too. But I don't see any of you arguing with that. You're picking and choosing your fake convictions because of your fear of giving up the old ways.

You also need to understand the difference in the Old Law and the New Law that Christians are bound to. You are talking about God's law through Moses.
Never in the bible was a child stoned to death for disobeying parents. The passage says SON and not child, and it was in reference to him being rebellious and a drunkard. This does not once mention a minor child.
You also need to look at John 8 on what Jesus did when a group was about to stone a woman for sexual sin. She was never killed.

God created marriage as a time and place for a MAN and a WOMAN to be physically intimate (sex). As Creator, He has the first word on this and He will have the last. He makes the rules because He knows what's best for us. Obama has brought God's judgement upon this nation. His stance on this abomination is why I didn't vote for him back in November. I didn't vote for the Mormon either. Obama and those who think like him can explain to God their stance until they're blue in the face and God will tell them what I just stated above. We as the body need to pray and fast until our petition is heard in the courts of Heaven and our land can be healed. Pray for those deceived by this lie.
