'The Bible Forum Song' - written by popular request from my last song thread

(to the tune of 'Everything About You' by Ugly Kid Joe)

First a disclaimer:
This song was written strictly for humor and entertainment purposes only and is in no way an attack against CC or the bible discussion forum. :) I'm sure there's plenty of good bible learning going on in there as well! :)

Ok so here is the original song...

And here's the 'Bible Forum Song' lyrics... enjoy! :D

I.. don't like the way you used those scriptures
and I, don't like the way you said it too
and I, can't make a point without dissenters
and I.. I.. I.. I hate debating stuff with you

and I.. hate bible forum threads too
bible forum threads eww

and I, hate seeing threads about the rapture
and I, wonder if you are saved too
and I, don't want to fight over salvation
and I.. I.. I.. I really think your point is moot

and I.. hate bible forum threads too
bible forum threads eww

and I.. get stirred when reading them, I.. just can't agree with them
I.. hate bible forum threads too
bible forum threads eww, bible forum threads eww, bible forum threads eww

Actually... that pretty much sums up the whole forum. Not the threads themselves, but the people who seem drawn to them as a cat to tuna fish.

I had to make the words fit the song.. 'bible discussion forum' has too many syllables in it.

Not bad at all, mate. But it needs some references to the Trinity, the Sabbath, KJV-Onlyists and Modesty. :p

Don't forget the accusations of political figures being the antichrist, and (insert technology here) is the mark of the beast.

Yep, it's why I have to keep hanging out in this forum. I used to like the debates, until if realized no one was convinced or changed their "opinions" on anything. Maybe it would be better named, "the Bible Opinion Forum?"

Remember the old saying.

"A man convinced against his will
Is of his own opinion still"

You can argue someone into a corner, bury him with facts, might even get him to concede a point or two, but you'll never convince him he's wrong. Especially in a forum.

Quote for the day: "In science occasionally someone will say, "You know, you're right. I was mistaken." And he goes and changes his mind, and you never hear that old opinion from him again. It happens every day in science, but I cannot recall the last time it happened in politics or religion."

I used to visit the Bible Discussions forum very regularly. More recently, I've cut it back quite a lot. Now, I visit every now and then (there are some hidden gems, like really hidden) but generally I can be found here in the Singles forum. And I'm much happier for doing so.

Curse you for posting exactly when I did. I condemn you to read Bible Study and Politics forum threads for the rest of your life, and you'd better read them all. You'll need a fast internet connection to keep up...

So why is this in the singles forum instead of the Bible forum? Perhaps Ill write a song about married guys having to chase Bible topics into the singles area...

I feel so out of place
But its a subject I want to face...

anyone got a tune for that?

This is in the singles forum because we have a sense of humor here. If he had posted it in the bible discussion forum people would have got all uptight and gone off to look for bible verses that they could twist to mean he will go to hell for saying what he said. ;)

lol I love the songs! I agree with Tintin about the bible discussion forums. I don't go in there much but there are some hidden gems.

Okay folks, I found a bottle of these gems that you were talking about. You can all take some.

You better queue up,
Like good little pups
And don't you fight,
Or the lynx will bite.

I will do no such thing Roh_Chris. Lynx don't normally bite humans (they taste nasty!) We'd much rather lie in our trees, invisible in our natural camoflague, and let a human walk on unaware of our presence.
