Let’s just get it clear that I didn’t invite you to the Singles forum, just because “many singles are depressed”, I invited you because it’s where I usually “chill out”.

Many singles around where I am from are not depressed but I am aware of the situation.
I said probably but I get your drift. I'm not blaming anything on you and I realize there are a lot of happy, well adjusted christian singles the have accepted being solo. I am one and let me make clear if I was looking for a date or a mate I'd probably be on Christian mingle. I can't say I'm happy with my lot in life but I've come to accept it. I also hoped this would be the kind of place folks who don't think everyone needs a mate can gather and share about it on a positive note. People don't need to ne married to be happy and according to growing divorce statistics most [over 50%] married people aren't, many are but most are not.

@seoulsearch I have a strong background in counseling, mainly drug, homeless and suicide prevention so when I read a rant like "nobody loves me, everybody leaves me, I wish I was dead." Alarms go off in my head. I am more concerned about those people than so called 'normies' who just see them as another river to cross. I've had to take my mom to a mental hospital when I realized she was beyond TLC and I've been on the phone with a girl that had intenionally taken an overdose and was passed out when the fire dept. smashed down her door. If I hadn't taken her seriously and hung up rather than having the call traced by 911 she'd be dead! I get a little touchy about this subject. Moms case was she had a cancer in her abdomen that was blocking her ability to digest food properly in addition to the stress of my dad was also dying of cancer . And her brain was swollen from too much asprins.
Now that that's out of the way, GOOD MORNING ONE AND ALL!

This has devolved into a discussion about McDonald's. There's no milk in that milkshake, so it doesn't matter whether you're getting it free or have to pay for it.
I don't want a cow! I want a Bentley but before I sign my life away can I have a test drive? Or does no body consider a marriage an irrevolkable contract for life any more?

I don't know why you're so worried about it. Are you worried you can't handle a Bentley? Maybe you should get a Mini.

Yeah..i hear that a lot the last few years..but you dont hear men having to see if finances are compatable etc as one of the leading reasons for divorce..i think its an excuse nit to have to commit but still get what they want :/ lol
Home economics was a girls only class, they took it while we were taking wood or metal shop. We were tought how to become men by pounding nails and turning wrenches and playing football while girls learned how to become women by balancing budgets, cooking and changing diapers from the 7th grade. at least in the 60s & 70s. We were taught the values and ethics of the previous generation while prepairing to become parents of the next generation and we taught our sons the same crap.

I would like calibob to explain how a male or female could be sexually incompatible.

Don't use the bible to justify sin as the RIGHT thing to do. We are not to have sex outside of marriage..... calibob there are younger brothers and sisters here who may read this and I hope you're joking.

Here’s what I know...

A husband and wife need to take the time to know one another in the bedroom. If someone doesn’t wanna take the time to do this, well I say said person is just lazy.

Granted there may be health issues that might prolong the getting to know. But shoot I thought one of the reasons people get married is for love. Lol.

The whole test drive deal isn’t compatible with Scripture.

That’s my opinion.

I was. I have no faith that God will ever put a woman in my path that I will ever marry. So It's a moot point but it started of as a question to me from jewel about what I would or wouldn't do. As a man. I made no biblical references. I was kicked out of a church because my bi-polar wife devorced me because she was unhappy and to them being divorced was equal to adultery and they didn't tollerate divorced men or adulteres in their midst. According to them I was going to hell for not saving my doomed marriage. She turned lesbo! I take marriage deadly serious. It's supposed to be a contract for life. You can't find a scripture that says it's ok for me to marry again, however if I did I'm sure his grace would abound. I've been divorced 34 years and haven't remarried, have no prospects and frankly don't care any more.

Women aren't cars or cows.
So I took it as a joke but I don't take divorce as a joke. Do you know the RCC excommunicates members for getting divorced which to a Catholic means they loose their salvation? That's how serious a failed marriage was taught to me as being.

If it weren't for my children I'd wish I never fell in love or gotten married ever at all.
