1) Yes. Whoever were ultimately behind these attacks, there was complicity by people within US government agencies, Israeli agencies and/or other external agencies, and which the official, US government explanation does not address.
2) No. The official explanation given by the US government, that the attacks were solely conducted by Al-Qaeda without the complicity of people in other foreign or domestic agencies, is 100% correct.
3) I still don't know.
4) I don't care.

The reason for this poll, is that, as somewhat of an optimist, I like to think that my fellow man is cleverer than another poll's statistics seem to indicate (below). This said, I have been known to be wrong before... :D

Background: (bold formatting mine)

I think pretty much everyone knows 9/11 was an inside job too. It's a figure of speech, not a lie. And I find those stats you have highly questionable. I would have put the figure at close to 35 - 45%. The reason I would still say "everyone", is that I'm discounting those who don't care enough to think about it, and those who subconsciously know, but refuse to acknowledge for emotional reasons.
if you want to challenge the polling data...then post your own scientific polling data to support your contention...

you and a few others have complained in the past that lots of people make assertions against conspiracy theorists without proving them...well now is the time to practice what you preach...

-prove- that your '35 - 45%' is something other than your own unsupported guess...
So let's put some science behind the 9/11 opinion poll data! :D

well internet polls are not considered scientific polls because of sampling issues...for example since this one is in the conspiracy forum it may only be noticed by people who are interested in conspiracy theories in the first place...

but we can see how it turns out anyway...

Here is a summary of the official version of events that I like. From The Corbett Report | 9/11: A Conspiracy Theory
Warning: From non-Christian site, with some bad language.

"TRANSCRIPT: On the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 men armed with boxcutters directed by a man on dialysis in a cave fortress halfway around the world using a satellite phone and a laptop directed the most sophisticated penetration of the most heavily-defended airspace in the world, overpowering the passengers and the military combat-trained pilots on 4 commercial aircraft before flying those planes wildly off course for over an hour without being molested by a single fighter interceptor.

These 19 hijackers, devout religious fundamentalists who liked to drink alcohol, snort cocaine, and live with pink-haired strippers, managed to knock down 3 buildings with 2 planes in New York, while in Washington a pilot who couldn’t handle a single engine Cessna was able to fly a 757 in an 8,000 foot descending 270 degree corskscrew turn to come exactly level with the ground, hitting the Pentagon in the budget analyst office where DoD staffers were working on the mystery of the 2.3 trillion dollars that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had announced “missing” from the Pentagon’s coffers in a press conference the day before, on September 10, 2001.

Luckily, the news anchors knew who did it within minutes, the pundits knew within hours, the Administration knew within the day, and the evidence literally fell into the FBI’s lap. But for some reason a bunch of crazy conspiracy theorists demanded an investigation into the greatest attack on American soil in history.

The investigation was delayed, underfunded, set up to fail, a conflict of interest and a cover up from start to finish. It was based on testimony extracted through torture, the records of which were destroyed. It failed to mention the existence of WTC7, Able Danger, Ptech, Sibel Edmonds, OBL and the CIA, and the drills of hijacked aircraft being flown into buildings that were being simulated at the precise same time that those events were actually happening. It was lied to by the Pentagon, the CIA, the Bush Administration and as for Bush and Cheney…well, no one knows what they told it because they testified in secret, off the record, not under oath and behind closed doors. It didn’t bother to look at who funded the attacks because that question is of “little practical significance“. Still, the 9/11 Commission did brilliantly, answering all of the questions the public had (except most of the victims’ family members’ questions) and pinned blame on all the people responsible (although no one so much as lost their job), determining the attacks were “a failure of imagination” because “I don’t think anyone could envision flying airplanes into buildings ” except the Pentagon and FEMA and NORAD and the NRO.

The DIA destroyed 2.5 TB of data on Able Danger, but that’s OK because it probably wasn’t important.

The SEC destroyed their records on the investigation into the insider trading before the attacks, but that’s OK because destroying the records of the largest investigation in SEC history is just part of routine record keeping.

NIST has classified the data that they used for their model of WTC7′s collapse, but that’s OK because knowing how they made their model of that collapse would “jeopardize public safety“.

The FBI has argued that all material related to their investigation of 9/11 should be kept secret from the public, but that’s OK because the FBI probably has nothing to hide.

This man never existed, nor is anything he had to say worthy of your attention, and if you say otherwise you are a paranoid conspiracy theorist and deserve to be shunned by all of humanity. Likewise him, him, him, and her. (and her and her and him).

Osama Bin Laden lived in a cave fortress in the hills of Afghanistan, but somehow got away. Then he was hiding out in Tora Bora but somehow got away. Then he lived in Abottabad for years, taunting the most comprehensive intelligence dragnet employing the most sophisticated technology in the history of the world for 10 years, releasing video after video with complete impunity (and getting younger and younger as he did so), before finally being found in a daring SEAL team raid which wasn’t recorded on video, in which he didn’t resist or use his wife as a human shield, and in which these crack special forces operatives panicked and killed this unarmed man, supposedly the best source of intelligence about those dastardly terrorists on the planet. Then they dumped his body in the ocean before telling anyone about it. Then a couple dozen of that team’s members died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan."

The Polling

William Hogarth's The Polling. Plate III. (London, 1758)

This eighteenth-century print shows a polling booth on Election Day. The two candidates sit on chairs at the back of the polling booth, one scratching his head while the other looks over the crowd. One of the men in the booth has drawn a caricature of the candidate closest to him. The pleased expression on the candidate's face suggests that he is winning. Another man in the booth has fallen asleep.

The first voter is an old soldier who has lost both arms and a leg. Therefore, the soldier takes the oath with his hook. The clerk finds this act amusing, but the nearby lawyers argue whether the oath is valid if an actual hand has not been used. Near the old soldier is a simpleton, who is being coached by a man wearing restraints on his legs. Behind him are a dying man, a blind man, and a man with crutches. The implication is that candidates who need votes will bring anyone in to vote.

In the background is a coach that is about to overturn because the coachman and footman are playing cards. Brittania, the passenger, cannot get their attention to prevent ruin. Hogarth’s print serves as a warning to Great Britain that bribery and election stunts are distracting the nation from its important duties.

5 Israelis detained for `puzzling behavior' after WTC tragedy

Five Israelis who had worked for a moving company based in New Jersey are being held in U.S. prisons for what the Federal Bureau of Investigation has described as "puzzling behavior" following the terror attack on the World Trade Center in New York last Tuesday. The five are expected to be deported sometime soon.

The families of the five, who asked that their names not be released, said that their sons had been questioned by the FBI for hours on end, had been kept in solitary confinement for three days, and had been humiliated, stripped of their clothes and blindfolded.

The mother of one of the young men explained the chain of events as she understands it to Ha'aretz:

She said that the five had worked for the company, which is owned by an Israeli, for between two months and two years. They had been arrested some four hours after the attack on the Twin Towers while filming the smoking skyline from the roof of their company's building, she said. It appears that they were spotted by one of the neighbors who called the police and the FBI.

The mother said that the families and friends of the five in Israel had known nothing of the men's whereabouts for a number of days.

"When they finally let my son make a phone call for the first time to a friend in the United States two days ago, he told him that he had been tortured by the FBI in a basement," the mother said. "He was stripped to his underwear; he was blindfolded and questioned for 14 hours. They thought that because he has citizenship of a European country as well as of Israel that he was working for the Mossad [Israel's secret service]."

Seven FBI agents later stormed the apartment of one of the Israelis, searched it and questioned his roommate. The Israeli owner of the company, who has U.S. citizenship, was also questioned. Both men were subsequently released.

The families here complained that the Israeli consulate in New York and the situation room set up by the Foreign Ministry there to locate missing Israelis had done nothing to help their sons. The Foreign Ministry told the families that the FBI had denied holding the five and that the consulate had chosen to believe the FBI, the mother said.

The five were transferred out of the FBI's facility on Saturday morning and are now being held in two prisons in New Jersey by the Immigration and Naturalization Services. They are charged with illegally residing in the United States and working there without permits.

The Foreign Ministry said in response that it had been informed by the consulate in New York that the FBI had arrested the five for "puzzling behavior." They are said to have had been caught videotaping the disaster and shouting in what was interpreted as cries of joy and mockery.

Report: Netanyahu says 9/11 terror attacks good for Israel

According to Ma'ariv, Netanyahu said Israel is 'benefiting from attack' as it 'swung American public opinion.'

By Haaretz Service and Reuters | Apr. 16, 2008 | 12:00 AM | 6

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."

Speaking of airport security, last spring I flew from Edmonton to Kelowna, BC. I had no problem getting through the scanner.

While I was there, the Boston Marathon bombings occurred. On the way home, in that tiny little airport in Kelowna, I set off the scanners. They thought I had metal concealed in my New Balance running shoes. They were clean.

Then I realized what had set it off. I pulled off my sock to reveal my reconstructed foot and showed them the pin holding the bunion together, which has worked its way out a bit. Sure enough, the scanner was set so high that it picked up that pin, which never before had set off the machine.

I was apologized to up and down, I mean, an old woman is such an obvious terrorist! But it did make me think about what they can do with those scanners!

One time, I got my flute screwdrivers through by insisting they were pencils! Another time, I lost that violent weapon, my nail clippers, for having them in my pocket!

Such garbage! A terrorist will get through with something new if they want, and security will not have even devised a way of detecting it.

I think the question should be, if 9/11 towers were a so-called inside job, what would have been the point. An inside job at that level would involve several intelligence agencies and several governments from several countries. Is oil a good enough reason? After Iraq's bombing and removing its leader, ie Saddam Hussein, the Western governments/ business companies/ powers of interest would benefit as they would claim Iraq's oil amongst other things as estate. It is like making a person bankrupt but this affects a country; the West can easily install a soft government post Saddam era. Oil is not a good enough reason by itself.

The next question to ask is how difficult would it be in practise to pull off states' sponsored terrorism?

First, I wanted to demonstrate the point that "everyone" gets 9/11 was a conspiracy, save from perhaps one or two suffering from amentia, the shills on the government payroll, and the emotionally committed.

An inside job at that level would involve several intelligence agencies and several governments from several countries.
I agree that people from several government agencies and several countries were involved, but I'm not sure that it would always be necessary. With compartmentalisation, don't most of the agents not know the full story?

Is oil a good enough reason?
Military strategy to commence never ending war, destruction of freedom in America and the rest of the world, with an ultimate aim of world domination. Stolen oil and gold, rebuilding contracts etc. are a financial bounty to pay off some of the criminal groups, but I don't see these as being the primary motive.

Agreed.

The next question to ask is how difficult would it be in practise to pull off states' sponsored terrorism?
Not very difficult, by the looks. Even when the evidence is damning, too many people are happy enough to accept the media's lame excuses. How hard is it to rob a bank, if you know that if the police arrive too quickly, you only need to tell them it was a drill to improve security, flash them a fake (or real!) badge, and know you'll be off scot-free?

Huh? Did you even read what I wrote? It's a poll, man, and only the third thread I've ever started on this site. Can I revive an old topic and still create a poll?
