Ok, lets talk about this for a second. In my experiences people love to put down other people, point out their flaws because they need to feel more superior than their neighbors. This happens from individual people, to families, to denominations, to nations, pretty much every level it happens.

Homosexuality is a sin, thats established. Thank you, can we move on yet? But no, Christians got to bring it up, and bring it up. I hate when people dwell on others problems, because obviously they are super Christians right? In fact, Jesus himself came down to earth and appointed them to be the religious police and run around telling people exactly what they are doing wrong.

I like it how Christians tend to marginalize their faults and enlarge other peoples faults. Screaming how homosexuality is a sin...It plays out like this...

SUPER CHRISTIAN: "But Chop Sui that man or woman is gay, they know Jesus hates it and they continue to live in sin! They aren't going to heaven."
CHOP SUI: Ok super Christians, but didn't God also say that obesity is a sin? What about that, you know its wrong yet YOU continue to live in sin.
SUPER CHRISTIAN: But Chop Sui that hardly is as bad as being GAY! Besides I have trouble controling my weight, I can't help it if I am over weight.
CHOP SUI: Can that person help that they are attracted to a person of the same gender?
SUPER CHRISTIAN: Well they could just not indulge in that activity.
CHOP SUI: Well you could refrain from eating anything but raw fruits and veggies for the rest of your life too and it would solve the problem. Right?
SUPER CHRISTIAN: Now that isn't even a resonable request. Besides, I know a man who comes to Church believes in God yet continues to live in sin. How can he consider himself a Christian?
CHOP SUI: Who goes to the doctors? The well or the sick. And don't you go to Church to, even if you sin. If you were a REAL Christian you would do what ever it takes to follow Christ to the letter of the law....right?

Now do you see what I mean? It might not be weight, it might be greed, lust, any thing that doesn't make you perfect. In my church there are people that anyone who goes to Church on Sunday isn't a TRUE Christian, why? Because the day was changed by the pope, who is considered the Anti Christ leading people away. And those who willingly follow the Anti Christ when in the Bible it plainly states that the 7th day is the day of rest. Then of couse you have the SUPER CHRISTANS coming back and saying well I know it is the 7th day but its just more convient to go on Sunday? Well well well what have we here, I didn't know that we only followed the rules that were CONVIENT for us. Personally I thought we had to follow them ALL the time. If we are just picking and choosing what ones we are following, then I pick from the 10 commandments 1, 3, 8, 9, and I will follow 10 every other week.

Oh, thats not how it works? Then please enlighten me, how you choose which rules to follow, because it is evident that you simply pick and choose. Do you pick then out of a hat? Randomly flip a coin, heads you follow tails you ignor?

I'll tell you a funny story, a man who was a SDA (Seventh day Adventist) was playing basketball for Montana State Univ. He was the starting center, however, he refused to play Friday nights to Saturday Sun down, because this was the Lords time. The team actually called in clerks from every denomination to try to convince him to play on the Sabbath, however when he met with them this is what they said. "Your right, the Biblical day of rest of the 7th day. There is nothing in the Bible that says Sunday, however, going to Church on Sunday won't condem you." He actually lost his starting job because the games were scheduled Tuesday and Saturdays and he missed 1/2 the games due to them being on Saturday.

Now do I think you are going to hell because you go to Church on Sunday? Absolutely not. Do I thnk you are going to hell because you are Gay, obese, greedy, lustful? Absolutely not.

So please as you are gay bashing think about what you are doing wrong. How you are ALSO not following the Bible.....The way I see it, God meets people where they are. Not where you think they SHOULD be

I didn't read the whole thing I know this issue is close to your heart sir and you are somewhat bothered by people saying all gays are going to Hell etc. I don't have a problem with gay Christians as long as they know being homosexual is a sin and try to repent otherwise they are heretics, that's all I have to say and by the way I am not obese lol so you can't pull that off on me.

First of all, the gospel is not about following the 10 commandments. Read Galatians. If you submit yourself to one part of the law, you are indebted to whole law; and if you are following the law, you are fallen from grace.

As for homosexuality, yes it is that big of a deal. The reason is that it is an abomination before God. There are differing degrees of sin. Jesus told Pontius Pilate that "He who delivered me to you has the GREATER sin." The point is not that gays should be bashed or hated, but that sin should be called sin and not compromised. 1 Corinthians 6:9 says that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

9Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
11Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God (NASB)

What you seem to not understand is that the approval of God is not based on whether or not you keep commandments and follow laws. It is grace, which means that God has conferred his favor upon the elect, without any merit on their part. Having a holy lifestyle is the evidence that this life changing encounter with God has actually taken place. If God truly saves a homosexual, they will not, according to 1 John, continue to walk in the darkness of that lifestyle. But, according to the same book, if the evidence of holiness is absent, and a person continues to walk in darkness, they do not have fellowship with God. If you have the Holy Spirit, you will live a holy life.

It isn't an issue of "sins". It is an issue of SIN. It's not about the fact that you have broken rules. Sin is whatever is contrary to the divine nature of a good God. The law merely came to point it out. God isn't going to be harsh on those who have broken the rules. That a completely wrong understanding of judgment. Judgment will be harsh because those who live in sin are living in total defiance of the sovereignty of a holy God, and their entire being and life is contrary to Him.

Homosexuality among all of the sins listed in the Bible is one of the few referred to by God as an ABOMINATION. It is a perversion of design. It is contrary to nature and to nature's God. It is contrary to express statements of scripture.

BTW where is the text that says obesity is a sin??

God most definitely requires repentance; one cannot die IN his sins and expect to be saved. We are to die to sin. We can no longer LIVE in them.

I'm with God on this one.
I absolutely agree. Homosexuality is a sin. Just like wearing clothes made of two different fabrics. Or planting two different types of corn on your field. Or eating seafood. I bet SwordOfFire is no sinner. He stones people to death because they worked on sabbath. He sells his daughter into slavery. He doesn't talk to women in their period. Because that is what being a christian means. That and raping a woman and then kill her husband like King David.
I admire you SwordOfFire, you Sir, are a true believer.

Above,

Nothing you referenced has anything to do with being Christian. You referenced several things from the OT Law for ancient Israel, most of which illustrated their call to be separate from the nations around them.

Man I was being sarcastic. I thought I don't have to add that because it's pretty obvious, isn't it.

I wasn't attacking anyone. I admired somebody, quite a difference.

WHO GOD CONDEMNS... NO MAN CAN SAVE!!! WHO GOD SAVES... NO MAN CAN CONDEMN!!! KNOWING GODS WILL IS THE ONLY WAY TO HELP OTHERS TO KNOW THE REAL TRUTH!!! AS MENTIONED BY SwordOfFire IN ANOTHER THREAD: "Sin is whatsoever is contrary to the divine and good nature of God."

God created man and woman for a purpose. He gave them both particular body parts for a reason.I don't see how somebody who professes to be a Christian can accept being gay as alright.Same for murder, adultery, blasphemy, lusting etc.....Please don't get me wrong I have many gay friends and I love them all.But I tell them what they are doing is against Gods will and against His purpose for us.
God will deal with each of us on an individual basis,He will look at everything we have done.It is our job as Christians to bring others to God,to let them know of things they are doing that is wrong in Gods' eyes.If we do not do this then how can we say we love that person?

It is the Holy Spirits job to enlighten not only me but the whole world of sin. It's called conviction.

And as I am convicted of sin with the help of the H.S. and God's word I begin to work on those sins He is convicting me of. The process is called sanctification.

I agree, any type of bashing is wrong and if your judging for condemnation rather then identification your are in sin:

Matthew 7:1-5
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye

Homosexuality is called an abomination to God in the Bible, look up the word abomination... Pretty much sums up why people judge homosexuals so much like the westboro baptist church if any of you have heard of them homosexuality is a disgusting vile thing underline disgusting and vile, that's God's word not mine. I have not heard another sin called an abomination that is quite a harsh term to use.

God does use a harsh term to describe homosexuality. But that does not give me the green light to treat homosexuals any different then I would any other unrepentant non-believer.

Matthew 7:15-20 (Judgment for identification)
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Thanks to the gay agenda I can simply identify those in the gay community that do not repent and call all on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins as those that are going to hell. The unrepentant glutton, liar, thief or adulterer etc..., etc... may be harder to identify but should expect the same fate if they to refuse to recognize Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
