I always like looking at the scripture as a whole then trying to go a little deeper to see if it does have a more deeper message for us today.
First: Mark 13:14; "But when ye shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judae'-a flee to the mountains:" (KJV)
when it says: understand. That means we need to perceive. It is a promise that we will not be in confusion. He is not a God of confusion.
when it says: when ye shall see. That means we are going to see something and we will understand at that time to know what it is. But, is it seeing with physical eyes or is it spiritual? Or it could be both because the bible does have layered meanings.
In other words, there is no guess here as we will know exactly what it is that is going to be revealed to us.
We see this same verse in Matthew 24:15 and Luke 21:20)
Since Mark 13:14 tells us that it was spoken of by Daniel then we will have to go to Daniel 12:11 and Daniel 11:31 to the verses Mark was referring to.
"And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." (Daniel 12:11)
"And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate." (Daniel 11:31)
Let's take a look at the word 'Abomination.' Using a James Strongs Concordence KJV(not NKJV) since I want it to match the KJV bible words I'm using and it will not cause confusion as it would if I used a different bible.
ABOMINATION is number 8251 or shiqquts (shik-koots); from 8262; disgusting, i.e. filthy; especially idolatrous or (concretely) an idol:--abominable filth (idol,-ation), detestable (thing).
8262 - a primitive root; to be filthy, i.e. (intensively) to loathe, pollute: --abhor, make abominable, have in abomination, detest, X utterly.
Something we have set up as an 'idol' and we have not recognized that idol in our lives as yet. In Ezekiel 7:4; he tells us our eyes have not been opened: Who's eyes? I believe God speaks to the church as a whole today not only on a individual base since the bible was written to both.
"And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord."

Ephesians 6:13; "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
We stand because I Peter 5:8 says; "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour."
We deal in principalities (Ephesians 6:12) so the devil can place his own principles (and idols) in a place where it should not be(our thinking and heart) and that is the christian. So the bible is telling us even as a christian we are lifting something that is not good in God's eyes. I believe this is referring to doctrine.
Luke 1:15; "And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men(justify your own doctrines); but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God."
What is that idol? Here is my opinion.
God tells us if we are a christian we are the temple of God. Living stones he calls us and have the Holy Spirit in us. Do I divided myself up and cast off this heritage to give part of it to someone less deserving?
Matthew 12:24,25; "But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beel'zebub the prince of the devils. (25) And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand."
What ceased but was set up again? Ezra tells us it was the command to build the temple under Darius king of Persia. Ezra 4:17-Ezra 5:17. It was built but destroyed under the Romans after the time of Christ. At that time Christ brought in a 'new temple covenant (confirmed by Daniel 9:27 and Galatians 3:17) and given a new name."
The new name says Revelation 3:12:
Romans 2:28,29; "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh. (29) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."
Galatians 6;16; " And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God."
If you are a christian you are a Spiritual Israelite. Why would anyone lift up a physical construct such as the nation of Israel and made them to be the idol of these last days? There's only one shepherd and one flock. Physical Israel has denied Christ for 2000 years and in I John 4:3; "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

here is the answer.
we all know that the false prophet is on his way, everythig is being prepared for him.
soon the one world order will be established, then he will appear with power and lying wonders.
satans power will be given to him, he will take cotnrol of the population by ordering every person

this is a dream come true. and i forgot to mention that israel had made a secret agreement(covenant)

At least that's what the followers of John Nelson Darby's 19th century futurist/dispensationalist approach to bible prophecy believe.
It's really quite stunning when we consider that 1.5 billion people, 1/4 of mankind, follow the false prophet Muhammad and are taught that to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, or even pray in Jesus' name, would be to commit the ONLY unforgivable sin. As opposed to child rape or cold-blooded mass murder, which may be forgiven.

I believe Matthew is more about the WHAT, while Mark is more about the WHERE, and Luke the WHEN.

That's an interesting view, since THE tribulation began before John's pen in the first century. (quoting the NKJV as it includes the definite article "THE" from the Koine Greek)

I don't know if we can say God would never allow it, since He allowed a temple to Jupiter to be built on the temple mount. But since there has only ever been one temple of God ever since Jesus built it in 3 days, through His crucifixion, death and resurrection, I think it is safe to say that any future temple could never be sanctified in the first place, so it couldn't then be desolated. It would remain desolate from the time the first stone was laid.

If everybody agrees that the Dome of the Rock (DOTR) is indeed the A of D, then we need to know where this event is in the timeline. We know the DOTR was built in the area around 690 AD. I think it was completed in 691. Since that is where the DOTR is in the timeline, where is it in relation to the prophecy timeline? One such event is the 70th week. There it says it is in the middle of the week. Therefore, if there is no questions that the DOTR is the A of D, then the middle of the 70th week is 688 - 691 AD. No 7 year futuristic tribulation period.
Also, for all you 7 year tribulationist followers. I would like you to prove to me AND show me evidence of how this short period of time (7 yr trib) is going to unfold. I don't want Scripture this or Scripture that. I want historical facts! What? You got no evidence? I wonder why? Because it hasn't happened yet and you insist it will based on no evidence. We show you historical evidence that you can see yet you throw all that into the trash and follow something that doesn't even exist. Even if the 7 yr tribulation will soon exist, you won't know anything about it anyway until it's over. Dan 12:1-9 clearly states that. The Time of trouble (great tribulation) will be a mystery until the time of the end (end times v 4 and 9) and the Jews are once again in control of Israel. (v 5-7).

Jerusalem was surrounded by armies in (Nov.) 66 AD, at the beginning of the revolt. Roman commander Cestius Gallus undermined the wall under the Temple -- and then suddenly retreated "without any reason in this world" according to Josephus (Jewish War 2.19).
That fulfilled the Prophesy of Jesus, "when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies" (Luke 21). The retreat of Cestius Gallus buoyed the hopes of all the other (militant) Messianic Jews. But, from Christians' perspective, all of them were following false Messiahs, e.g. Simon Gioras and Eleazar ben Jair. So, unless Christians were acting anti-Christianly, then instead of staying in Jerusalem proclaiming victory, they would have fled from the city.

The Abomination of Desolation occurred in (Nov.) 66 AD, when Jewish militants sallied forth from Jerusalem, on a Sabbath, during a Festival, and murdered over 500 Roman soldiers, and then, with blood on their hands, fled back to the temple, as the Roman army approached. The temple was defiled in (Nov.) 66 AD, when Jews, proclaiming a false Messiah (Simon Gioras), entered the temple with blood on their hands. No. Not at all. Matt 24:15, mark 13:14 and Luke 21:20 are the same exact event! It is NOT talking about 70 AD temple destruction. Matt 24:2, Mark 13:2, and Luke 21:6 talk about that event. The passages in all three books are chronological. Jesus is saying this will happen first, then this is next and so on. So, you are forcing Scripture to meet your demands.
Jesus said to refer to Daniel for the abomination of desolation. There is only one verse that will lead you to that answer. Dan 12:11. When were the daily sacrifices taken away? In the NT? Hardly. We don't live under that law anymore. That's OT laws. Short reason here, In 583 BC about 25 years into the 70 year captivity, there was nobody left to do the sacrifices. They were all imprisoned in Babylon. 1290 days shows absolutely nothing. How about day/years? 1290 years? Since we're going from the old calender of 360 days per year to 365 days per year, we need to convert it. 1290 X .9857 = 1271.5 day/years. The Gentiles (in this case, Islamic empire) took over Jerusalem up until 1967 six day war.
That right there makes more sense. Yes, the last Christian temple was destroyed in 70 AD, but the Dome of the Rock still remains an abomination as long as it stands fulfilling Bible prophecy for over 1300 years. We don't need another temple rebuilt that will do the very same thing the current temple is doing right now!!

They were all imprisoned in Babylon. 1290 days shows absolutely nothing. How about day/years? 1290 years? Since we're going from the old calender of 360 days per year to 365 days per year, we need to convert it. 1290 X .9857 = 1271.5 day/years.
