I am so BORED!!!

Seriously! I thought summer break was supposed to be relaxing. It's hard to relax when I'm sitting here with absolutely nothing to do. This has been virtually perpetual since I got home from college. My main hobbies don't interest me anymore and there's nothing to replace them. If I'm not at my summer job (which is part-time work) I am sitting here at home doing nothing, just checking the same websites every five minutes to see if anything interesting has happened. I guess I'm just going to be in a "season of boredom" in my life until college starts back up.

Not to be all...advice-givey...but you gotta sometimes CREATE stuff to do. It takes some effort, but...just...DO something. I live in a town of about 60 people, and if you're not a rancher and don't want to sit at the general store and shoot the breeze with a bunch of old people (seriously, OLD, like...70+), then you gotta FIND stuff to occupy your time. So I do.

What kind of stuff do you have around you? What's available? What's FREE? Haha...

Yep, God says we are 'His workmanship,' and, so, that means He is at work in us . Sometimes, it's to relax, sometimes it's to read things, sometimes, it's to do things, and, sometimes, it's to sit and be still and listen to things. It's all His things, anyway, that you have, and, will get, and, so, where are you now, what are doing. Maybe, the best question is: What are YOU gonna do ? :)

We are saved by His grace, right? Through faith in Him, that is not of ourselves? Right? OK, that said, that truth of Scripture then we are to be praying ceaselessly and just asking Him to show us His way and during the early doldrums of summertime (it's not even summer yet ! ) I can PROMISE you that God does not want you sitting around, unless you see Him putting 'sit' in your life, which He does do from time to time. I know, from experience :D

So, start your late Spring days here with a prayer daily, shawnteecee, and, trust God, as you move, through faith, to get you where you need to go. And, IF you ever doubt where you are going, or, even, why you are going, or, how are you going to get there, remember, how you got to where you are NOW in the first place, by His grace, by believing in His plan for your life, by believing in Him :)

Green, I can totally see you taking your dawg out to do this!

Soon the dog days of summer will be upon us...
wonder how long till i can sort out some time to cut a wake.
I think i need to do that, its always very centering for me.

right now I'd settle for just having the grass all mowed at once.

I used to pay a kid 10 bucks to mow the lawn for me...don't you have any little minions- I mean kids- around there who could take that job off your hands for a small sum?

Yep, seatbelted, totally :) My dog has swam in the Duck Lake waters many a-times and also she goes into the Pacific Ocean, sometimes, but that water is real rough on her and she knows to be careful there. She is a strong swimmer, she swims strongly against a 100 lb golden retriever, a couple years older, that is, until last summer, the retriever was hit by a car :( Those two really had fun playing in other ways too, brother, pid and that dog, even though 50 lbs heavier, would play tug 'o war and pid would go strong for 10-15 minutes holding onto rope and the other retriever dog would finally let go. pid is bound and determined, boundless in energy.

I have a small yard compared to some and I even had to pay at least 15 to 20 for someone to now when my mower broke.

Wow, I had it easy then, getting away with giving the kid 10 bucks...

Granted, that was when I lived in this trailer park with a bunch of meth dealers/meth heads, so probably the kid was just glad to-

Yikes, that's just going to turn into a really sad story.

I think I'd have to pay somebody upwards of $50 to mow the grass around here (so it's quite nice that my husband takes care of that...I'm sort of not "allowed" to touch any kind of machine that has sharp parts....).

So...this is the back gate thing I painted (pre-paint, plus snow from last year...)

And this is the thing I've done to it...and I am PRIT-TEE sure I went waaaaaaay overboard, but then...so what? It was fun, and it's better than rust.

Thanks guys :)

I keep going outside to look at it, and it's overwhelming, and then I laugh.

MissCriss, I saw the first picture and I was super confused at first because I hadn't read the caption yet and I remember you posting earlier that was 100+ where you were, so I thought, "...wat? How is there snow?" :p

(That was a long sentence.)

I laugh because it's so...coppery...and purply...and green. It's a LOT to take in, when the sun hits it.

BUT...

I think I like it. That part of the yard is just sun-baked all stinkin' day, so it's all dead and ugly...not anymore! BEHOLD, SHINY STUFF!!
