Hello Everyone,

I wanted to suggest some reading materials to anyone that enjoys a good book and insightful reading that will support scripture. I have found Grace Awakening by Chuck Swindoll a staple in life. I constantly go back to it re read underline etc. I also suggest Living Above the Level of Mediocrity by Chuck Swindoll. Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life is a wonderful read. I know I recently purchased some of Ravi Zacharias' books End of Reason & Cries of The Heart & Has Christianity Failed you. I have not read these yet but plan on doing so. If anyone has any suggested reading materials as well please post them here and I will see about reading them. I'm interested in reading just about any Christian based book help me broaden my horizons and such. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts don't hesitate to post or ask about some of these books I've read.

Also looking to add Brady Boyd's Sons & Daughters: Spiritual Orphans finding our way home & John Ramirez Out of the Devil's Cauldron.

I do not claim to be an avid reader but ever since picking up different books and perspectives I've begun to see things in different perspectives and its really improved my thought process and relationship with others & God.

Anything by Martyn Lloyd Jones is good. His exposition is not only practical but sound.A puritan of sorts, born 300 years behind schedule. If reading isn't your bag but Welch accents are you can google his sermons online.

These books by Lynn Austin are fiction, but Lynn did lots of research of the period.
They include accounts of Hezekiah, Manaseh, Joshua, Jezebel, and Ahab.

Series: Chronicles of the Kings

Series by cover

I'm on my third run through of Stormie Omartian's Praying Through the Bible. An excellent bible companion, study guide, etc. It's getting quite dog eared. Also just finished her Lead Me Holy Spirit which makes another nice study guide/bible companion.

Beth Moore's
Jesus the One and Only is pure enjoyment.

And I just started
Walking The Bible; A Journey By Land Through The 5 Books of Moses, but Bruce Feiler. It was given to me by a friend from church who knows I love to read. I may have mentioned this here before but 2 other books that are nothing short of amazingly wonderful are Shantaram andThe Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. You won't be able to put them down, I promise. Neither are Bible based or theological books, just wonderful reads. PM me if you want more info on what they're about.

When Heaven Invades Earth by Bill Johnson ~~~anything by Bill is Super!
Iniquity by Ana Mendez Ferrell ~~~~anything by her or her husband Emmerson REALLY good stuff! DEEP Stuff
Setting the Captives Free, also by Ana
The Power of the Blood by H.A. Maxwell Whyte....this was revelation for me....confirming what I'd been thinking but was afraid to give voice to.....arm goes up, then comes down with a resounding "YES!!!"
Perry Stone's stuff is great too!
