I feel that anyone is uncompromising in their beliefs, that is to say unwilling to have new insights, evidence, and experiences, is being somewhat ridiculous and frankly is missing out on life. So in a way religious people and atheists have a lot more in common than they may like to admit ;)

Personal opinion about atheism, or the atheists in general?

Personal view about atheism - I used to be an atheist, and those were the most miserable 4 years of my life. When I was taught the big bang theory, that started to push me away from atheism, because it was completely nonsensical to me to think that the universe and everything in it magically spawed from nothing with no creator or intelligent designer of any sorts. If you were to ask me what it would take for me to go back to atheism, I'd say I want 4 years of my life back. Does that mean a time machine? Sure. The ironic thing is what I'd do with that time machine. I'd go back in time so I could get out of atheism sooner. I wouldn't wish atheism on anyone.

My opinon on atheists as a group - They act like a bunch of spoiled 5 year olds that don't get their way. They plug their ears and deny. And they can't stand anyone having a view that doesn't line up with theirs, and will instantly spew insults and hatred towards Christians just for being a Christian. It's like they have no discipline and no respect. Then they wonder why they're considered the least trustable people in society, like it's some big mystery. Of course, they can't figure it out because everything revolves, or should revolve, around them, according to their worldview.

There are a few atheists that aren't like that, a few that are open minded and willing to have a respectible conversation with non-atheists. And I deeply appreciate those atheists. They are few and far between, but they're the ones that are worth talking with.

Not knowing something is like poking your head out of an egg shell, the human heart needs to learn, when it finds a little light, it will go towards it, the only light of the world. Everyone needs a chance...

As much as Atheists like to say they don't believe in anything or don't have a religion or Christians are "forcing" their religion down their throats? Isn't a lack of religion still a religion? Isn't a lack of belief or believing in nothing still a belief. Isn't it then "their belief" or lack thereof being imposed on us? It can be tough having dialogue with Atheists

'Isn't lack of religion still a religion' Did you read what you have just written? Firstly that is nonsensical but your comment ' or lack thereof being imposed on us?' Yes those rude atheists who openly state their lack of belief, how imposing how they use their freedom of speech to the fullest. Or should we look at when the church or any other religion has had their say over the common people? When lack of belief wasn't being 'imposed' by the church but instead met swiftly with execution. Christianity, Islam and judaism to be exact.

“Religious apologists complain bitterly that atheists and secularists are aggressive and hostile in their criticism of them. I always say: look, when you guys were in charge, you didn’t argue with us, you just burnt us at the stake. Now what we’re doing is, we’re presenting you with some arguments and some challenging questions, and you complain.” — A.C. Grayling

That is A. C. Grayling professor of philosophy, humanist, secularist and atheist. Makes his point very well.

Atheism is a belief. It's an informal, grass roots religion and they like to ram it down our throats until they get banned.

Atheism is the pinnacle of arrogance, hubris, and narcissism! To say you are an atheist means you have been to, and have knowledge of, all places at all times. Otherwise how do you know God isn't on the dark side of the moon right now? Or in your fridge, on top of Everest.... or in my heart?

Atheism has not presented one challenging question or even a decent argument. They've all been answered before. The arguments atheists use have been debunked for thousands of years already. Atheists just like to regurgitate the same tired old arguments and questions, then plug their ears to the Christian responses and answers, then prance around claiming victory and that their questions somehow challenge Christians too much. What a joke.

Tolerance of a belief is the gracious thing to do; acceptance of the person is the loving thing to do. Loving a belief that violates your own is the hypocritical thing to do (pg 101 of Why Jesus by Ravi Zacharias).
