Hi GreenNice,

It's the new creation in Christ that has been sanctified and perfected. We abide in Christ and it's Christ's holiness/perfection/righteousness that God sees.

As for that imperfect physical part of us, it's already dead (by faith) because of sin, Rom 8:10. The physical will never be perfect, hence we, as believers, should never judge our righteousness/holiness/perfection by it's behavior.
Correct, yet most do, not seeing that they their unredeemed flesh as dead Romans 6:1-11 pretty much clears this up and Romans 7 as well, yet it takes God's Spirit to show us the truth of the writing otherwise one does not see the fight between the flesh ans the Spirit of God as galatians 5 does a great job there as well for discernment of the fight of flesh and God's Spirit

Because of the 'one offering,' because of Christ's death on the cross, that is the ONLY reason that God sees us perfect, as His righteousness, HazHis.
Just adding more meat to your quote, hope you don't mind,it seems we all have something to offer, for each of our growths in christ
And then by the resurrected Christ we recieve the Spirit of God born again where we serve God in Spirit and truth
Death took away the sin issue that caused death, We died with Christ the very first day of belief, then as Christ was risen from the dead we are too, in the spirit of God, born again by God.
Remenber what Christ said he came to give us life and give it to us more abundantly John 10:10.
Well he did this for all that beleive God, are born again and live in the Spirit of God. There is no other way for God to be worshipped
John 4:23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Yet a lot of the world today is running around working out of the energy of their own flesh, and are stressed out, worried, don't know how deep God really loves them, and God has provided everything that we all will ever need for life by the cross, and this is completed by the resurrection.
No one is saved by the death, all are forgiven yet no one is saved by death. We are saved by the life the resurrected life of Christ, here and now born again by God in the Spirit of God
Romans 5:10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
2 Corinthians 5:18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation

The message of have been forgiven is out there and known but people are not turning to God, and saying thank you, rather they have gotten busy in the energy of their own flesh and say hey look at my smoke will yea. And people are patting them on the back saying good Job using God's name as confirmation to work in our flesh and please God. When no flesh except Christ's flesh will ever please God, so in recieving the message of reconciliation, being forgiven why don't we then just be
2 Corinthians 5:20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

that is be forgiven as you are forgiven by God, and once you finalize this then move onto the resurrection where God hasalready born you again by you beleiving god, a free gift, no works, yet you domore works, b=u they are not yours they are God's through yhou by the Holy Ghost living in you, yet through you, being led as Christ was led, by this same Holy Ghost.
the salvation given to us by God is amazing, how can anyone want to ever take it for granted, if they know this truth I have posted here, I think not unless one has consciously said no to this amazing gift of life from God

Galatians 3:10-12 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

We are under the law of faith in Christ, ever since Jesus' death on the cross and rising again, we are under 'new rules.' :)

Because of 'that' grace, faith :)

John 15:4-5
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

These are the "new rules" after the law has brought you to Christ.

Otherwise I suspect you are still under the old rules. It has to be especially rough seeing how there is no sacrificing of bulls and goats. Maybe you'll just "water down" the Law and pretend to keep them by your own power. I'd wish you good luck with that but it seems especially mean. Self deceived...

Pride and stubbornness and self-deception. Who can overcome these?

What is impossible with men is possible with God.

Exactly , homeboundHis, I was even thinking after that quote there that there was more I was being prompted by Him to say but, you just said it, perfectly. God bless you , brother :)

yes, grampsK, amen, we are to abide in Him, the law of Christ after His death is purely simple: Love Him with all your heart and mind, soul, body, strength, voice, everything, and, second, love others as yourself.

Quite simple and everything else will follow those 'new rules.' :)

The pharasees kept all the laws, and, were 'perfect' at it, too, and, what did Jesus say?
MATTHEW 23 [1] Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, [2] Saying, THE SCRIBES AND THE PHARISEES SIT IN MOSES' SEAT: [3] ALL THEREFORE WHATSOEVER THEY BID YOU OBSERVE, THAT OBSERVE AND DO; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

I understand you. You think you can lie and bear false witness and God doesn't care because you believe your not under the 10 commandments. You think you can do as you please and not obey God. Now theres a pretty sad theology. Good luck with that.
Now if you were not lying please post my words "only" where I made the claim God was saving bulls and goats and not men. If you are lying just write in your own words the story you wish to spread.

GRANDPA WRITES Post #643,646,647,660...
You are attempting to separate the Law into sections and say the Lord Jesus fulfilled the law of sacrifice only, the "ceremonial" law.
You are not showing that the Lord has fulfilled all the Law nor do I think you believe it.
So... If the Lord has only fulfilled a part of the Law then you are effectively saying that He is saving bulls and goats from being killed. What you don't understand is that if The Lord Jesus didn't fulfill all the Law then we are still guilty before it with no hope.

Yup. Not my words

We are still guilty before the Law and we are without hope unless we turn to Christ for forgiveness for breaking His Law.

Love #1 Him. Love #2 'you' :)
Those two be the 'new rules. '
They were not 2 new rules when Jesus talked of them

MATT.22 [35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?[37] Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.[38] This is the first and great commandment.[39] And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Why do you believe that we no longer need keep Gods commandments because of what Jesus said in Matthew?

DEUT.6 [5] And THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THINE HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart [17] Ye shall diligently KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

Jesus was only quoting scriptures from the old testament. And as you can see in above scripture the way to love GOD is to keep diligently the commandments.

1JOHN 5 [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

And the new testament verifies the old testament as to how we are to show our love for God? In the new testament book of John. When we love God, we keep His commandments.

LEV.19 [17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.[18] Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF: I am the LORD.

Again (thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself) Jesus is quoting scripture from the old testament. Do you agree that the people who lived in old testament times were under the 10 commandments. Of course they were. So why when Jesus quotes old testament scripture do you think the 10 commandments are now done away with?

2JOHN1 [5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.[6] AND THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

In John, you can read how we are to love our neighbour according to the NEW TESTAMENT. It’s the same way that it says in the old testament. KEEP GODS 10 COMMANDMENTS. Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever.

And if one were to define loving thy neighbor's wife as having a go at her, what is wrong with that? Apparently nothing unless you really know that the last six Commandments define loving thy neighbor...

Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Seems self explanatory to me, the Commandments are comprehended in love thy neighbor. The word for comprehended is...

G346
ἀνακεφαλαίομαι
anakephalaiomai
an-ak-ef-al-ah'ee-om-ahee
From G303 and G2775 (in its original sense); to sum up: - briefly comprehend, gather together in one.

Love thy neighbor sums up the last six Commandments.

Peace be with you, contentious spirit of the Old Covenant in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Don't you see and hear and pay attention to in the New Covenant 'Law of the HOLY SPIRIT' in Romans chapter 8.
Why do you oppose those who see in the New Covenant, Words of bodily spirit and life to grow and excel?
Won't they be according to the MESSIAH of the New Covenant, true worshipers, worshiping GOD the FATHER in spirit and truth?
We are talking of the New. join us in building and edifying of the New of CHRIST in order to practice and excel better than the Pharisees whom we will respect, who live in ignorance according to grace and truth of CHRIST.
Do not be discouraged in the correction of the LORD JESUS CHRIST but be encouraged to unite.
May GOD bless you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST to understand the New Covenant.

I ask myself that question time and time again. Why do they oppose the Word of the new covenant.

ROMANS 7 [14] For we know that THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

In Romans 7 we see that the law is spiritual

ROMANS 15 [25] But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.[26] For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.[27] It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. FOR IF THE GENTILES HAVE BEEN MADE PARTAKERS OF THEIR SPIRITUAL THINGS, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

The gentiles have been made partakers of Gods law.

JOHN 4 [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] GOD IS A SPIRIT: AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.

True worshipers will worship in SPIRIT AND TRUTH just as you stated Fred.

JOHN 14 [15] IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. [16] AND I WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH;

How are we to recieve this Spirit of truth? Keeping Gods 10 commandments. Grow and excel. Right Fred?

Your flesh WON'T keep the 10 commandments, it's from your spirit they will be kept and that is the truth. The ONLY way we can start to keep all the 'rest' of the commandments is by keeping the FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT: Love the Lord thy God with all your mind, heart, and, soul. :) And, also, love others as yourself. That means LOVING your enemies, and, PRAYING for them. Imagine that . That guy who TOOK your wife ! God asks you to pray for him. Go figure. :)

And, figure it as L-O-V-E. :)

Would you want your neighbor 'having a go' with your wife? Then it wouldn't be just for you to 'have a go' with your neighbor's wife. That's the new law: treat others as you would like to be treated.

If you did want your neighbor to 'have a go' with your wife then you would prove yourself to be a lawless person who would be judged accordingly.

MATTHEW 5 [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. [21] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, THOU SHALT NOT KILL; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: [22] BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT WHOSOEVER IS ANGRY WITH HIS BROTHER WITHOUT A CAUSE SHALL BE IN DANGER OF THE JUDGMENT: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

OLD LETTER- Thou shalt not kill
NEW SPIRIT- Don’t even get angry. Call no man a fool. Love one another in thought, word and deed.

If your keeping the spirit of the law are you also keeping the letter?

But and if my neighbor did, it isn't a sin is it? After all...

Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Maybe he thinks he is practicing 'love' thy neighbor.

Sin is defined in the Word of God...

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

And what did Paul say about the Law...

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
