Listen to you,, the one who goes around calling people cultists.. Go away! There is nothing wrong with lively debate.

Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) is a cult. Why?

1) SDA Elevate the writings of Ellen G White to be equal to the bible.
Those who might say this is not true, might take a looksie at the "Clear Word Bible", printed by the SDA church. They changed the actual words of the bible by literally including the teachings of Ellen G White in their bible and they do not make any notes on this. So if one were to read this trash, they would never know they inserted her teachings.

The SDA Church made this statement in their Ministry magazine of October 1981, and have never retracted it -- "We believe the revelation and inspiration of both the Bible and Ellen White's writings to be of equal quality. The superintendence of the Holy Spirit was just as careful and thorough in one case as in the other" (June 1997, The Baptist Challenge). (Bold added.) This sounds like SDAs also believe that Mrs. White is inerrant.

2) Ellen G WHite is believed to be a prophetess by the SDA, even though she fails to pass the test of a true prophet.
For more information on the failed prophecies of Ellen G White see the link below.
Does Mrs. White pass the Biblical Tests of a Prophet?

3)Ellen G White taught "Salvation by works".

(a) "Our acts, our words, even our most secret motives, all have their weight in deciding our destiny ... though ... forgotten by us, they [our works] will bear their testimony to justify or condemn" (TGC, pp. 486-490).

(b) "When any have sins remaining upon the books of record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the book of life ..." (TGC, p. 483).

c) "Each one of you needs to ... [be] working with your might to redeem the failures of your past life. God has placed you in a world of suffering to prove you, to see if you will be found worthy of the gift of eternal life" (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 3, p. 530).

From website:
Seventh-Day Adventism - Orthodox or Cult?

I think this is enough proof that SDA is a cult. The members of the SDA good moral people and they are sincere in their beliefs. However, by elevating the writings of Ellen G WHite to be on par with the bible is blasphemous. That means she is equal to Jesus, because Jesus is the Logos.

Here is proof they they are spoonfed little words to look for. then condemn what they do not know.

NO ONE HERE IS TEACHING IT IS OKAY TO BREAK ANY LAW OF GOD.

But you can;t hear this, because you will not listen to anyone!

Now. it is time to put your words to the test.

Show where Myself or anyone here has said it is ok to break Gods law.

It is time to put up, or stop making false accusations!
Post 348. You said of Paul:

"HE SPOKE AGAINST THOSE WHO TAUGHT SALVATION WAS DEPENDANT UPON OBEYING JESUS."

There ya go,, the whole crux of your argument. See, you teach that it is okay if we disobey jesus, salvation is assured.

There ya go,, Paul never taught that we are to disobey Jesus,, yet you have made that claim right here in post # 348.

So,, there is the evidence that says you teach that it is okay to disobey Jesus. You even claim paul says it's okay to disobey Jesus. When paul said "it is keeping the Commandments of God that matters." 1 corithians 7:19 So,, Paul disagrees with you as well.

There, I put up the evidence. Eat it.

Satan is on this site. To think we have an exclusive site where Satan is banned is foolish.
Matthew 16
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
[SUP]23 [/SUP]But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

You hate john and me, because we both teach that we are to obey God and keep His Commandments.
Hi Michael50,

I don't see anyone hating you.

And eternally-gratefull is correct that you are following error doctrine in thinking that obeying the law determines our salvation.

God says you cannot mix grace with works of the law. The doctrine you follow is a lukewarm mix of grace and works and if you continue this way God will reject you as a non-believer, Rev 3:15,16.

We cannot mix grace with works of the law.
Rom 11:6
if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Take note of the message in James 3, as it speaks against those who preach the same doctrine that you do.
James 3:1
let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment

James 3:6
the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell

James 3:8-11
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. [SUP]9 [/SUP]With it we bless (love) our God and Father, and with it we curse (judgement/condemnation through the law) men, who have been made in the similitude of God. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Out of the same mouth proceed blessing (love/grace) and cursing (judgement/condemnation through the law). My brethren, these things ought not to be so. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Does a spring send forth fresh water (love/grace) and bitter (judgement/condemnation through the law) from the same opening?

How does one defile the body, as James 3:6 describes?
Heb 12:15
looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

How does one fall short of the grace of God?
Gal 5:4
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

How does one defile themselves through following doctrines that preach works of the law for righteousness?

Firstly, remember that the doctrine of righteousness by works of the law is symbolically described as Hagar (Gal 4:24).

1Cor 6:15-19
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot (Hagar/works of the law)? God forbid. [SUP]16 [/SUP]What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]Flee fornication (with Hagar). Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Cor 3:17
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

So we see in scripture that we cannot be lukewarm by mixing grace with works of the law.
Or as James 3:11 says:
Does a spring send forth fresh water (love/grace) and bitter (judgement/condemnation through the law) from the same opening?

There ya go, yet again,, saying nothing. Just playing word games.

Let me explain how rediculous your posts are. What makes you think that you can post some scripture i will somehow understand your secret message behind some scripture?

Do you suppose you know my heart as well as know what interpretation I will get from any scripture you post? How can you possibly know how i interpret any scripture unless you first ask my interpretation of the scripture you post?

You draws conclusions that I must get the same interpretation from a certain scripture that you do..,, Why else would you post little scriptures with no insight? lol.

Explain your self,,quit playing word games. Were all adults.

"HE SPOKE AGAINST THOSE WHO TAUGHT SALVATION WAS DEPENDANT UPON OBEYING JESUS."

There ya go,, the whole crux of your argument. See, you teach that it is okay if we disobey jesus, salvation is assured.

So your saying these jews did not teach this?? You prove my point, You do not listen to a thing enyone says.. If you did, you would not make such huge mistakes.

The jews where teaching OBAY Jesus, But also OBEY LAW.. Just like YOU ARE DOING.

You don;t get it!

There ya go,, Paul never taught that we are to disobey Jesus,, yet you have made that claim right here in post # 348.
There you go. I have never stated we are to disobey Jesus. Or that Paul did.

When are you going to get off whatever your on and actually start listening to what people say?

So,, there is the evidence that says you teach that it is okay to disobey Jesus.

no. There is further evidence you do not listen to what anyone says, but assume you know what they say.
.

You even claim paul says it's okay to disobey Jesus. When paul said "it is keeping the Commandments of God that matters." 1 corithians 7:19 So,, Paul disagrees with you as well.

Eat it?? dude your about to get reported.. You do not show the love of God in you. Your an arrogant person who thinks he knows it all..and you make false claims against people with no basis of fact because you refuse to listen to a thing they say.

now lets try again.

did not the jews Paul condemned not teach to obey the commands of God and Jesus or did they not?? and did not these same jews condemn paul??

I agree, his "eat it" remark is childish and immature. It definitely lacks Christian love.

I respectfully disagree with you. I beleive you are in error, not me, and not John832. So,, in my opinion,, we come from 2 groups,,, Group 1 will teach that Salvation can be had by disobeying God,, and I given the evidence in post 348.....
The other group will teach that we are obey God.

As we near the end,, the 2 groups will become more distinct. You see, you have already determined I am in error. And i have determined that you are in error... And the climax will come over Gods Sabbath Commandment!!!!!

One group will teach against keeping Gods Sabbath in one way or another. The other group will teach that we are to obey God and keep His Commandments, even the 7th Day Sabbath. Just so you know, that is where this debate is headed as we near the end. The climax of the commandment debate will soon center around the Sabbath.. And i'm guessin that those who disagree with me, are also sunday keepers or just commandment rejectors alltogether. And that is what the future holds, continued debate over Gods Law, centered around the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment.

In the spirit of Bill Oreilly,, "That's a memo."

Paul did teach Christ crucified and learn to live like Christ.

HE SPOKE AGAINST THOSE WHO TAUGHT SALVATION WAS DEPENDENT ON OBEYING JESUS.
.....

When we ADD OUR OWN WORKS.. we preach a different Jesus. Just as they did!!

Again, Stop condemning and judging others.. and look in the mirror..
so does two people doing wrong make a right?

one takes quotes out of context and makes it only half the truth.

the other throws false accusations of adding own works instead of recognizing it as works God saved folks to do........

and what gets lost in the conversation?

is this still a debate or a debacle?

You can;t even get this right. there are three groups.

1 - Says we can be saved and live however we want, Also called licentious.. not saved, never have been, never will be, until they repent. I have seen a few, but not many in this chatroom since I have been here.

2. - Your group. Also called legalsim, says we are saved by faith, but our salvation is based on how good we obey the commands. Thus salvation can be lost. and is not eternal. Not saved, never will be unless they repent. This chatroom is full of these people.

3 - Faith in Christ. says we are sinners. and undeserving. Says gods laws are not hard and to keep us from having fun, but because he wants what is best for us, But understands we will never match up to Gods moral standard. See ourself as sinners.. saved by grace. Eternally saved by the blood of the lamb. This chatroom also has many of these people.

the problem is the licentious call the us group legalists because we confront their sin, The legalist call us licentious, and claim (as you have been doing throughout this thread) we teach one can be saved and live however they want..

You both fight each other, and are both far from Grace,, so far. you can;t see those in the middle who are trying to show you, because you are so sure your right, you can;t see what they are saying in the first place.

To be honest, I think it is an honor to be called a legalist by the easy believers, and licentious by you legalists. Because all it does is prove even further in my heart Gods truth!

John 9
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”
[SUP]40 [/SUP]Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”
[SUP]41 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

Matthew 13
[h=3][/h][SUP]10 [/SUP]And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
[SUP]11 [/SUP]He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should[SUP][a][/SUP] heal them.’[SUP][b][/SUP]

Hard to have a decent discussion with one who twists your words to mean something you never intended them to be. I don't think further discussion with him would be profitable.
