Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) is a cult. Why?

1) SDA Elevate the writings of Ellen G White to be equal to the bible.
Those who might say this is not true, might take a looksie at the "Clear Word Bible", printed by the SDA church. They changed the actual words of the bible by literally including the teachings of Ellen G White in their bible and they do not make any notes on this. So if one were to read this trash, they would never know they inserted her teachings.

The SDA Church made this statement in their Ministry magazine of October 1981, and have never retracted it -- "We believe the revelation and inspiration of both the Bible and Ellen White's writings to be of equal quality. The superintendence of the Holy Spirit was just as careful and thorough in one case as in the other" (June 1997, The Baptist Challenge). (Bold added.) This sounds like SDAs also believe that Mrs. White is inerrant.

2) Ellen G WHite is believed to be a prophetess by the SDA, even though she fails to pass the test of a true prophet.

3)Ellen G White taught "Salvation by works".

(a) "Our acts, our words, even our most secret motives, all have their weight in deciding our destiny ... though ... forgotten by us, they [our works] will bear their testimony to justify or condemn" (TGC, pp. 486-490).

(b) "When any have sins remaining upon the books of record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the book of life ..." (TGC, p. 483).

c) "Each one of you needs to ... [be] working with your might to redeem the failures of your past life. God has placed you in a world of suffering to prove you, to see if you will be found worthy of the gift of eternal life" (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 3, p. 530).

I think this is enough proof that SDA is a cult. The members of the SDA good moral people and they are sincere in their beliefs. However, by elevating the writings of Ellen G WHite to be on par with the bible is blasphemous. That means she is equal to Jesus, because Jesus is the Logos.

There ya go,, the whole crux of your argument. See, you teach that it is okay if we disobey jesus, salvation is assured.

There ya go,, Paul never taught that we are to disobey Jesus,, yet you have made that claim right here in post # 348.

So,, there is the evidence that says you teach that it is okay to disobey Jesus. You even claim paul says it's okay to disobey Jesus. When paul said "it is keeping the Commandments of God that matters." 1 corithians 7:19 So,, Paul disagrees with you as well.

How does one defile the body, as James 3:6 describes?
Heb 12:15
looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

How does one fall short of the grace of God?
Gal 5:4
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

How does one defile themselves through following doctrines that preach works of the law for righteousness?

Firstly, remember that the doctrine of righteousness by works of the law is symbolically described as Hagar (Gal 4:24).

1Cor 6:15-19
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot (Hagar/works of the law)? God forbid. [SUP]16 [/SUP]What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

So we see in scripture that we cannot be lukewarm by mixing grace with works of the law.
Or as James 3:11 says:

And i'm guessin that those who disagree with me, are also sunday keepers or just commandment rejectors alltogether. And that is what the future holds, continued debate over Gods Law, centered around the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment.
