i dont want to be gay but its hard not to.. what do i do? i dont want to talk to my parents or anyone i know about it becaus ei dont want them to know..

You should look up Ravi Zacharias's video answering a question on homosexuality. He gave a really good insight on it. Described it as a sinful disposition like any other sinful disposition that we each individually have and struggle with, but we give up to God, in order to honor Him.

Like Eugenious and lifewarrior said, sexuality is something that we need to surrender to God, no matter if our feelings are for the same gender or the opposite, we need to surrender it to Jesus. Totally. Completely. Cast it upon Him, because He cares for you!
I wonder, (and please don't think that I'm assuming that you haven't already, I just don't know, so that's why I'm bringing it up):
Have you ever surrendered your heart to Jesus, and asked Him to abide in you and make you a new creature? If not, it's certainly an important thing to do!
If you do that, then also ask Jesus to fill you with The Holy Spirit, doing so will help keep you on track! Love, Nichole

Repent, and ask for the Holy Spirit to enter all aspects of your life. When we give all of ourselves to Him, we are willing to let us be changed through that supernatural spirit. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can truly redeem us so we can adapt Godly characteristics. In everything you do, stir up the spirit and stay in tune. It takes constant conditioning, for everyone.
First off, I want to say that it is very admirable of you to seek to not follow those desires. It shows a wisdom and desire for God that, sadly, isn't very present these days.
Second, in addition to following the advice of what was already posted, I would also suggest you search the Internet for groups who help people with homosexual desires resist them and serve God. It's unfortunate there aren't many in the real world.
Third, understand that the sin of homosexuality is not a sin that's somehow "worse" than any other. God does not consider you more bad than say a lier to someone who is arrogant. I don't mean to downplay the severity of sin - they all separate us from God - but don't think of yourself as a special case of "bad person." In Christ we all are equals, no matter what sins we struggle with.
Fourth, realize that it's not a sin to have homosexual temptations/desires. As a straight male I find myself pitted against lust, the sexual desire for women in improper ways. When I see a hot gal I'm tempted to look at her a little too long and think a little too wrongly about her. That's not a sin. The sin is if I were to do those things. The sin is not the homosexual temptations, but rather acting out on them.
A previous poster said you should repent. I agree, but let me give a clear definition: repentance is a change of mind. In your case it would be changing your mind to say "This is a sin, and I don't want to do it anymore." From the looks of it, you've already achieved that. Very good! The one thing i can say from what i know about this is..focus on you having an awesome walk with the Lord..he will work on you..don't place so much pressure on yourself to change. God loves and accepts you where you are at, and i think unless someone is going through it and understands..there will be people who will come up with a 'formula' to get straight. God will work on you in time..for some it is instant, and other times it takes a little time. Just relax, and know that he who began a good work will be faithfull to complete that work.

Gay, is just as any other sin we may struggle with. Drugs, fornication, etc.
First know God's will concerning such things as you are struggling with.
Take it one day at a time, look at it as today I am not going to commit this sin through the strength God gives me. Pray about it alot, ask God for help.
Also know that any sin can be defeated by the power of the word, and the promise God gives us.
I Cor 10: 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it
So we see all sin is common to man. This means you are not the only one that struggles with this. Also gives us a promise we can count on, you will never be in the position of facing this, without a way of escape that God has made. So take that escape when you are faced with the temptation.
Also know it will not always be this hard. As you put the effort forth do no do this, you are becoming stronger. Your will-power also becoming stronger through the practice of putting God's will before your own desire. The tempation is not the sin, acting on it is. The more you refrain, the easier it will be not to act. This is also something we are told from scripture:
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

Know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are as God created you. God said to come as you are, and that He will come to you where you are. There are many gay Christians, some who are celibate, some who are not, but most important is YOUR walk with Christ. You are His Beloved. Love Him and all things cease to matter, make your life about Him.

I'm probably going to be the only one here who says something different and probably discouraging.
You're not going to get a good answer.
You can pray all you want.

And then there are people who are married, have families, always loved their husband or wife then suddenly turned around... so I'm telling you this and I'm telling it to you now.
Stop identifying yourself by your sexuality.

Don't say "I'm a gay Christian" stop adding things to it.
Either "I'm a Christian with problems" or I'm "not a christian with problems."
Being gay should have nothing to do with what you believe, just like being a fornicator, or a murderer should have nothing to do with what you believe. You can believe in God, as the devil himself believes in God, and still not follow Him. Likewise, a fornicator or a murderer, a drunkard can also believe in God, but that doesn't mean murder or fornication is good.
If you have identified yourself as Gay, labeled yourself that way, and it's part of you... you're pretty much on your own when it comes to formulating how you want to follow God...
But...
We're all in the same boat.
We're all struggling one way or another.

I think there is nothing wrong with being gay. There is nothing in the bible that goes against homosexuality. Think to yourself if god created us in his vision, and we happen to be homosexual then wouldn't that mean god wanted us to be like this? Im not saying you should dismiss the topic I am only explaining my point of view on this subject. I hope all goes well

This comes from a lack of knowledge of the bible, and a misunderstanding of the sin nature prevalent in all humanity. To say because we're created in God's image, then it must be ok to be homosexual is not logical unless you ignore the concept of the sin nature. Which you can't ignore, because the sin nature is the very reason for the crucifixion of Christ. And if you remove the crucifixion of Christ then you remove the very foundations of Christianity.
If being homosexual is ok because we are made in God's image, then that means if a person is a pedophile, that's ok, because that person is made in God's image. Or an alcoholic. Or a drug addict. Or a murderer. Or a rapist. All of those things would be ok, and a lot more, according to your logic.
Simply being made in God's image does not make us God, or God-like. It does not negate the fact that we are sinful. Adam was created in God's image. Eve was created out of Adam. Then, together, Adam and Eve brought sin into the world, effecting all of humanity as they passed their sinful nature to their children, and their children passed it down.. and so on and so on.
Also, i suggest you read your bible. There are quite explicit scripture that speak against homosexuality. That was one of the key sins against Sodom and Gomorrah. Unfortunately you're speaking on things you don't have the facts on, and speaking logic that would basically put and end to Christianity itself, by removing the need for salvation and negating the crucifixion.
I was born in 1925! No TV! To start the car you had a crank to wind. Gay was something you felt when the neighbors had a barn dance. It was known that there was such a thing as homosexuality, but no one thought much about it. Grownups knew that my seventh grade teacher lived that lifestyle, but I never heard a word about it, I figured it out many years later.
My point is that it actually wasn't a big problem for most people.
With the research on brain cells and brain imaging it explains why. Our brains are not only formed by our genes but by our environment. We can actually change our physical brain by our thoughts. Sexuality is not only our makeup, but learned. Male and female is patterned for us from the day we are born. Today our children are surrounded by a world where the roles have changed. My model grandson says that about 75% of the models are living that lifestlyle.
So today it is a big problem. Mostly, it is learned, but the learned thought pattern is changing the very structure of brains. The Holy Spirit enters and guides you, follow it. Don't let your fleshly mind control you, but control your mind.

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable--if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise--dwell on these things.
It will reshape your brain!
