I don't think this has been mentioned yet.. if so, feel free to correct me.

It would be nice if there were more options for relationship status, such as "in a relationship" and "engaged". please and thank you

Agreed. I'm engaged and I've already posted a thread before requesting this option. It'd be nice to have that option because I'm sick of being hit on because the only options I had were Single, Married, and Separated.

Ya. I want mine to say ''disallusioned given how many fake and hurtful people there are with an underlying optimism in one day finding the perfect girl''!

Oh and people who don't respect statuses already aren't going to change by new wording of statuses.

Satusi?..Plaural?

meh..don't feel like googling it...or using this dictionary on my desk...but i'll throw in a few extra dots and lack of capitalization for good measure

"Relationship Status Suggestion"
...
*broken hearted flock to thread - confess emotional ouchies*

An expanded list for relationship status would be nice, though. :)

Congratulations! :D

lol.... if you are going to add some you could add

"single but not interested in internet dating"

"taken"

"completely sold out for Jesus"

and the "engaged" and "in a relationship" ones sound good too :)

not that I think most would use it but you can put "player" and "just a flirt" as option so they can tell on themselves if you like.

It won't change much though. I have a married friend, who has married in her status. She had a PM box message stating she was married and not looking to flirt. Doesn't stop her from getting hit on. One guy she had a chat with, thinking he was just being friendly, when he came on the second time and had a chat with her he had written her a poem. So if saying you're married and not interested in anything with any guy doesn't stop a man, neither is 'engaged' or 'in a relationship'.

Not to say its still a bad idea. It will help to some degree, with guys who are actually decent guys and looking for a real relationship. They'll know not to go sniffing in your direction. But it won't stop all of them.

It would be nice to have different statuses. I'm not single, but i'm not married...it would be nice to let the guys know i'm not available. And I agree, it won't stop all the guys from PM-ing...but the decent guys would respect that.

Yeah it's not just trying to get guys to stop flirting, though that would be nice. It's also just the fact that I hate having a status that says I'm single when I'm committed to another man. I'm not single, I'm not available, and I don't have to be married yet to prove otherwise. It just feels almost disrespectful to him to not be able to acknowledge that I'm engaged to him, let alone in a relationship with him.

Exactly vikki, I'd like it to be known that I'm with someone. Maybe we could have statuses similar to those on facebook

Wanted to bump this thread again because I just had another guy asking about my relationship status and even he expressed his frustration that there's no way of knowing who is and is not in a committed relationship that isn't marriage (aka: dating or engaged).

Yeah well as it's been pointed out, it's not about the creepers, it's about being respectful to our partners we're in a relationship with by making it known we're with them and not open for dating.

I second, third, and fourth this suggestion. Here here.

This is not supposed to be a dating site, per se, but everywhere we go we have 'single female' screaming all over our chat box. It draws attention some of us absolutely do not want. I am very very committed to someone who I fully intend to marry, and he does deserve to be acknowledged that he exists.

I started a thread regarding this very topic XD it seems in the Christian community, that there is no middle ground, you are either single or married *sarcasam* XD

How about "married, don't waste my time" I have written threads and changed my status to married and made it expressly clear that i am married and i still get hit on.
