The Christian world considers and follows Sunday the first day of the week,as the sabbath nowadays

but the Lord thy God said

Exodus 20:8-10 KJV
[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work,

And when he created the 7th day sabbath there was no Christian or Jew, Catholic or Protestant

Genesis 2:1-3 KJV
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
I wish people actually understood why we worship on Sunday. It's not our sabbath, we believe sabbath and Sunday service is two different events. Catholicism says it is a replacement sabbath but that's not true at all. We believe our rest in the Shabbat is in Jesus, but we go to church on Sunday to honor His resurrection.....

Do the day matter? Of course it does! GOD commanded it'
It was Jesus who gave the commandments it was is his voice man heard!

Exodus 20:1-2 KJV
[1] And God spake all these words, saying, [2] I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

The seventh day sabbath is a dark sentence that the Abomination of Desolation understand and those who keep then sabbath understand, but those who keep other days of the week and not the 7th day sabbath to those people it is a dark sentence!

That another dark sentence Jesus did not rise on Sunday

Matthew 12:38-40 KJV
[38] Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. [39] But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: [40] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

You get me 3 days as 3 nights from Good Friday to early Sunday morning when Jesus rose?

Sir it seems you are not fully aware of the New Testament. The Sabbath was just a physical show of the spiritual revelation. Just like most of the law...

In Genesis it explains God rested from His finished works of His new creation. Exodus and the rest of the Torah stresses us to rest on the seventh day to.

In Hebrews it explains we have rested from our works of iniquity by the finished works of what Christ did on Calvary, we are a new creation in Him through the testimony of His blood.

Same with sacrifices, we don't sacrifice anymore because the past commandments were symbol of Jesus' final sacrifice.

There is no math on earth that we can get 3 days and 3 nights from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning or resurrection Sunday!

Jesus gave this command

Matthew 12:38-40 KJV[38] Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

It cannot be done, so who is this Jesus that rose on the first day of the week?

lets read what the angel told Jesus mother

Matthew 28:1-6 KJV
[1] In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. [2] And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. [3] His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: [4] And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men . [5] And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. [6] He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Jesus was not there!

Jesus had left sometime that sabbath before the 1st day of the week came

Lets read what our Lord says

John 11:9 KJV
[9] Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

There is 12 hours in a day and understanding lets us know there is 12 hours in a night! 24 hours

You're not quite understanding what I meant...if you stayed up all night, it would be considered one day if it went from 11 pm to 12 am. Back then they didn't mean it had to be exactly 12 hours for every three days. If he was dead three days simplicity, then he was dead three days. That's how it was runned, even today sometimes we do that us do that.

So you are saying you don't work? You are at rest from sin!

i beg to differ here is another dark sentence right from the NT

Here is Peter warning us about satan and be aware that this is after the cross!

1 Peter 5:8 KJV
[8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

What rest do you have? Satan is not gonna let his servant rest!

I have rested from working for iniquity and now serve God who brings peace through Christ. Even though I sin, I'm not bound by sin, but free.

What Jesus did on Calvary was to give you and I a chance at eternal life, he died for our past sins because when we is we are suppose to die

lets read

Romans 6:23 KJV
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ezekiel 18:4,20 KJV
[4] Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. [20] The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Romans 3:23 KJV
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

here is a dark sentence that most don't consider,

what did Jesus do that he should die for you?

what are these dark sentences that the Man of Sin understand? Should we understand these dark sentences so we are not in the dark?

Daniel 8:23
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
[h=3] “In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise. Daniel 8:23 (NIV)[/h]
Matthew 2:8He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”

Matthew 12:14
But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
