And I will be honest with you. I do not study theology, not at all. The only wisdom I seek is from Scripture. And agree with you that one who full of head knowledge from studying in order to learn theology of another man has little time to show Love in action. But, it cannot be emphasized enough, He who seeks shall find. An hunger for the word of God teaches a fear of the Lord and that is the beginning of Wisdom, seeing that it was Wisdom who inspired those words. I hunger and thirst for Wisdom, for in Him shall life be found.
I would say, the more we love God, the more we are prepared to yield our lives to him, the more the Spirit can dominate our lives, then the more we learn
Just picking up a theological book of/like Carm won't achieve much I'd say

Correction, I did not just tell Quickfire not to report you. However, reporting people isn't something I personally enjoy doing, so I probably wouldn't encourage it, regardless of who it was

Are you saying doctrine is not important?
I'll make that claim. Doctrine is men arguing with men. Knowledge puffs up.

Works build up. Works make you mature.

if you do the works you are made to do, God takes care of the rest for you. You need not even know the name Jesus, nor Moses, nor whatever you call God.

God is love. if you abide in love you abide in Him and Him in you.

Get the love right, which requires works, and is taught to you through works, then you need not know the word doctrine exists.

The works don't earn you a spot, they are the catalyst that changes you. (I get tired of the people screaming works won't save you.. they never listen to what I say...)

It's about how you live, not what you know.

I'll stand with you though on this, it's a lot easier if you are learning the right doctrine. Problem is we are taught more dogma than doctrine.,

Hi Quickfire,

If the shoe fits......?

As I have said, if I have said something wrong and something that is not Christian orthodox report it..

If you do report it..hold your accusations

Phil all mighty... coming soon to a theater near you.

I mean, you play the role of God here. Often, and this is my first day. You judge people and believe you are the arbiter of truth. Even when your "truth" contradicts the Bible you either ignore or make excuse for it and insist you are right.

When you know it all, you can't learn anything more.

So you better hope you got it right.

Remember GOD sits on the throne of judgement. Christ, on earth said not even HE could judge here, unless he judged what God told him to. Now to my understanding you nor I have a person to person conversation like Jesus did. So either you are wrong, or schizophrenic. OR not a judge. So, kindly back up and talk with, not down to us poor chillenz.

For the record, the definition of Heresy reads something like this.....

WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! WAH WAH WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH... so n so doesn't believe what I believe and I can get more people to agree with me than he can with him, so HE IS A HERETIC.

Bottom line is, it's all interpretation. Heresy is a cowardly cop out the church invented when there were discussions they could not master intellecually. Half of the martyrs were heretics at a point until they were later understood.

Can any Equal Trinitarian answer this?

Who dwells in the body of Christ?
The Father, or the Holy Spirit?

Interested in the response

Hi Godslyric (nice nickname BTW)

It's not about Judging, we have to discern.. And don't be fooled as a Christian you certainly have many enemies..the wolves are always at the door. And being online line they can masquerade as light very easily.. as can be seen.

Would you call someone a brother and fellow heir of Christ, who denies who Jesus is? even the devil masquerades as light.

But that is your choice.. I would say be more discerning when it comes to the things of faith. Theres nothing wrong with loving people its exemplary, I believe silas is a heretic, but still love him. I am worried for him and pray for him.
This whole topic in very volatile in any Christian chat environment, just the fact you both have managed to navigate through it with a pretty good sense of continuity and respect (for the most part...lol..) lends credence to the fact that both of you have your heart in the right place. I can only lend words to any thread, that may have some potential to bring some peace to whatever it is that is being talked about, and try to stand on what has been given to me, which is, to strive to be as Humble as I can, as my arrogents, and foul nature, will always dictate otherwise if my guard is down, but Christ restores broken things...A life time of fighting. (both with gloves and without) for everything, has left both my body and my ambition for discourse at an all time low, and I like it that way...So you guys will have to excuse me if I dont jump right into the action here... The Lord has given me new ways to comunacate the last 15 years, or so, and I have to adhere to His wishes...I just cant, not wont, but really cant, point my fingers at anyone, not with my background...Gold is forged in fire, and Id like to think all you guys, and me, are being forged in the fire of Gods Love as we speak...Thats all I got brothers...You guys are a blessing. Love eachother...Peace...

The Holy Spirit dwells in the body of Christ, is that correct?
Correct, the Spirit of truth dwells among the believers, both individually, and together.

Please answer once more, then I'll answer your question

Is that official Trinitarian belief
The Holy Spirit fully resides in the body of Christ, not just your personal belief
