Well, in about an hour and a half, I gotta go sleep....but I REALLY don't want to. As I said earlier on. Had nightmares last night...most of the night, actually. I used to not remember my dreams. I used to hate it. Maybe it was for my own good.

Okay, I've dried all my tears, Mr. Green. However, I don't want to get Arwen upset at us, so I'll answer your question about my sig in my thread. Hopefully tomorrow, as I need to help someone tape up a package. Bye-bye and thank you for the conciliatory ice cream, which I'm now too full to eat after the three bags of chocolate I needed to forget my sorrows. Please put it in the freezer for me. Or, well, since it's a gift, I guess I should freeze it myself for tomorrow. *reaches into computer to grab the food*

I know where julieannie is going to be at 10pm tonight, or, maybe, she DVR it . Now don't be blacklisting me, y'all, and, start worrying about julieannie and and and calling her at midnight because, you you think, I'm some creeper following her around and knows what she does at 10pm monday nights. Horrors ,green ! :D

Seriously now, my favorite part of 'The Blacklist,'--which is on after 'The Voice,' --of the season's episodes far , is episode one, when Elizabeth Keen was going home to her husband all happy, for a birthday party. That was a set-up by the bad guy, complete cake with lit candles on a table, and, her husband looking like he was just happy sitting there waiting for her. But, he was stabbed and near death she could see when she approached the chair and a bad guy sprouted out and stabbed him again, too. Deep knife wounds felt. Chilllingly well done scene, totally took me by surprise and, although, I think it's too lovey-dovey, like Grey's Anatomy, and, not gritty enough drama, overall, a bit too sensational, it's still pretty good show. And, I guess, it doesn't have to have the exact 'edge' of Law and Order or CSI or NCIS, or, even Bones. I would give it a 7 out of 10 myself of shows I watch, and, although i did like that one 'birthday' scene for surprise it, overall, does not carry the same power punch beginning, middle, to end, as a CSI or Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode, for me .

I was just answering that question , too, that I asked julieannie in the questions we ask others thread. Hey, I just thought I would, that's all, and, I didn't want to put it in the questions thread because I don't wanna. I just don't wanna. So, I don't gonna :D

Reading off some of the "dressing modestly" thread and seeing all these people indirectly gossiping about a woman they never even met that the OP brought up, made me wonder if anyone (friend or stranger) had ever started a thread about me on some random forum that's floating around somewhere out in the gigantic internet. :p I see people start threads about near complete strangers sometimes over seemingly small actions worthy of discussion for whatever reason.

If it's happened... I would be curious to spy on such a thread, cause I'm nosy like that. ;)

Shour - how did the band competition go?

(This isn't a response.)
It was a good day.

Kids were zombies at warm-up.

Assistant director lays into them something fierce.

Load busses. Kids stay quiet and focused during the whole bus ride.

Kids unload and prep. A sax player forgot her strap. A baritone player can't find his mouthpiece. Another 5A band from across town lends our kids the equipment (mouthpiece is bleached). (This is one of the things about El Paso that's unique; anywhere else in Texas, that wouldn't happen. Bands hate each other, and another director would smile and tell you to walk. But El Paso bands are different...they all want to beat each other, but they also all want everyone to be successful. Every time a rival high school goes on the field for competition, ALL of the other bands cheer and shout in genuine support. It's really something else.)

After warming up, kids go on the field, do awesome. They sing the final chord of third movement ballad. Crowd melts. The small ensemble kicks off La Negra mariachi section in the fourth movement; folklorico dancers go on the the field. Crowd goes nuts. Kids march off the field. They killed it.

Watch the last two bands. Everyone sounds good tonight. It's not even a 5A advancement year, and the 5As all brought it. Kids are all digging it. Eastwood's drumline is LOCKED TIGHT. They sound like a machine gun.

Take saxophonist and baritone player over to Franklin Band to return borrowed equipment. Franklin students start pointing at me and whispering. I look for a stain on my suit.

Awards presentation. Directors and drum majors to the field. Walk past Franklin Band; kids are asking for my autograph.

On the field. Every single 5A band, including the one I assist with, cleans up with straight First Divisions. (This is another awesome thing with competitive music - everyone can win.)

Franklin director stops by to congratulate us (we're all congratulating each other). "I don't know what's gotten into my kids, man."

Walk back to the bleachers to escort our band back to the busses. Franklin Band is chanting, "John-ny Depp! John-ny Depp!" Our guard instructor starts laughing at me.

Ride the bus back to the high school. A senior leans over my seat with his cellphone. "Mr. N, can I get my picture with you?"

>_<

I keep mumbling to myself, "Got the Division One, that's all the matters. Got the Division One, all that matters..."

Agree with you 100%. I am enjoying "The Black List" but I would trade it easily for new episodes of Law and Order: Criminal Intent with Vincent D'Onofrio as Detective Robert Goren. Loved that character! He was great in "Full Metal Jacket." Boy, that movie took me back to my Navy bootcamp. We had a slow overweight guy in our barracks like Vincent portrayed. They gave him a blanket party too. It still makes me so mad to think of how cruel they were. I'm sure it was initiated by the drill instructor. He eventually washed out. I wish that he would have taken all of those $&@¥£€#%s to the drying room and cleaned their clocks. Sorry, dark place.

Was just told about The Blacklist yesterday by a friend. So I went online last night & watched the first 3 episodes & I am hooked! I loves me some James Spader. The lead female role (Keen) looks a bit like the actress who played Chuck's sister in the show CHUCK. lol (I'll have to Google this or it will drive me loopy)

I found the 1st episode of season 4 of The Walking Dead a bit sad. (maybe was just the mood I was in when watching it)

After like a gazillion years I am still watching Survivor. (which I believe is on tonight)

I've become one of those people now who watches everything online. I got rid of cable over a yr ago & have no regrets whatsoever about doing so. Biggest scam ever! I noticed online now when watching a program they have advertisments within advertisements & crazy pop-up's. It's really annoying, but at least it's "free".

Btw...have I mentioned that I hate waking up at 3:45 am for no good reason at all? *sigh*
God still hasn't answered my prayers yet for eternal slumber.
I need a cookie.

That is so weird! I just got awoken at 3:45 AM (my time zone) too for no good reason. What are the odds? I've got some homemade oatmeal scotchies.

Sure no problem. I like how you ask me to pick up the most expensive thing in Maine to bring....why not just ask me for a lighthouse too while yer' at it?
