bao, The only one we should really listen to is God. When searching out scriptures, pray that God will guide you to HIS truth. Many times people will muck with scripture to make it fit the way THEY want it to. The only truth is God's truth. Pray on, just pray.

I remember I struggled to understand why homosexuality was a sin, I asked God over and over until He spoke and told me, It is a burning lust. Then not long after that, one day I read that men left the natural of use women and burned in lust for one another Romans 1:27

i was just thinking about this in light of new jersey making same sex marriage lawful. it seems to me that sometimes christians get so caught up in telling people what is wrong or what they shouldn't do that they forget to actually love that person. i find it very interesting that jesus never condemned sinners in the bible, just those who thought they were righteous. homosexual sin is the same as any other type of sexual sin. all we can do is share the truth, and pray that God changes the heart.

Jesus loves people so much he coined a new word - hell. That is what eternal separation from God is and Jesus loved people enough to invent this new word to warn them. I do not tell people that I believe homosexuality is wrong, or that adultery is wrong. I tell them that God says that it is wrong - because I love them.

Jesus never condemned sinners in the bible??????

Luke 13:1-4 Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had a mingled with their sacrifices. And He answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered this fate?" I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. "Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem?" I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

If someone you know is about to be run over by a truck, the loving thing to do would be to warn them...Until the truck gets really close, then the loving thing to do is to tackle them and get them out of the way. Unless, of course, you don't really believe in trucks.

Hebrews 12:6 says For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.", Proverbs 3:12 says For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. And Revelation 3:19 says Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. I can only speak for me but when I tell someone that their actions are wrong according to the word of God I am loving them, if I did not love them then my conversation with then would be more like " well it's your life, you can do what you want, who am I to judge, don't involve me in it, if you like it I love it". So if I tell you that your sin is wrong according to the Bible that is one way I am showing you love, and I would want you to do the same for me, if you truly love me.

I am not a Catholic but I'm going to quote the Pope on the subject of homosexuality. The Pope said "if this person leads a good life and seeks God then who I am to judge", not word for word but close. I know what the Bible says about homosexuality but it's not my business what goes on in these people's private lives, if they are Christian then they must answer to God for all their sins as must I and I can tell you I have many sins to answer for. Scientists are doing research into homosexuality developing in the womb where the fetus is exposed to the wrong hormones during certain stages of development.
Private lives? How about I Corinthians 5. That was private. Scientist. Now our moral compass shall be based on what science says. So do ye support Bible or scientist?
Did you know that most teenage boys have a most powerful hormone. Testosterone. Powerful. Dynamite. It is natural. It drives males to females. But did you know that the urge for sex originating from that hormone is no valid excuse to fornicate? We might say "I was born that way," but that is no excuse.

Scientist . . . why are their so-called discoveries accepted as fact? Why also do Christians allow for those so-called discoveries become their belief system.

I think Sodom and Gommorah was destroyed for practicing homosexuality, When Lot was in his house and the angels came to him the people of Sodom wanted to know the angels or have sex with them so God blinded the Sodomites.

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:26-27

[h=2]Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.[/h]
Jude 1:7

As Christians I think we need to be firm and try to stand against any sin that is dishonouring the body.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; [SUP]20 [/SUP]you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

but lots of friends,
Preachers deny it.
there are their prayer:(i am not sure the translation is right:))
Lord Jesus, we, as children of God to serve Thy name bundled over Taiwan that sensuality, lust, perversion, arrogant, rebellious, and confuse the evil power of moral truth, Thy hand from heaven hinder the adoption of these same-sex marriage bill the destruction of the evil counsels; also Thy voice in the legislature for the truth emerging leaders to halt these unjust bill; let our young people can hear more of the teachings of truth and holiness. Thank you to pray for the country and the leader's authority and responsibilities entrusted to us, let us Thy faithful in this matter. The statue of Jesus prayer of winning, Amen!

i really be confused by this.
is there anyone can give me the answer?
the homosexual love could be sin?
(i am not good at English,so there may have some mistakes:p)
Hi,

In the Old Testament, the LORD commanded that a man who lay with a man as one does with a woman be put to death. The command not to do this was also in a passage that lists sins for which God drove Gentiles out of the land, indicating that this was a sin not just for Israel, but also for the nations.

When God made marriage, He made it between a man and a woman. Society has no right to redefine it.

So-called 'gay marriage' makes no sense. The only reason the state should consider getting involved in authorizing marriages is because governments handle issues like inheritance law and benefit from well-raised children. Homosexual couples do not produce children. The government should not recognize 'gay marriage' so two people can say they love each other. You can say that without getting the state to give you a tax deduction. What does that have to do with the state's involvement in marriage?

States that have no recognition of 'homosexual marriage' do not discriminate against homosexuals by not having it. Any eligible man can marry any eligible woman no matter if the man feels like his orientation is homosexual or not or if the woman considers her orientation to be lesbian or not. This is not a discrimination issue. It is an issue of redefining marriage and experimenting on the kids.

But if the government redefines marriage to include homosexual unions, then the homosexuals have equal rights to adopt children. So society experiments with children. If the state is going to be involved in adoptions by non-relatives, it should try to give each child a father and a mother, not two men or two women.

God, in His word, says that in marriage it must be male and female. When it doesn't follow that it is considered immoral.
Entire nations have fallen because of immorality of the people in that nation.

No excuse or explanation of why you, as a human decide homo marriage is right will fly with God. It would be like going to God to have the tides of the ocean changed, and explain why that is a good idea. God created marriage as God created it, just like he created the ocean as it was created.

Sex is not a sin when two are married as a Man and a Woman, it is however if Same sex individuals are having sex. This is not what God ordained and we as Christians have to stop being so passive on this issue because we are held accountable. As for me I will tell the world that homosexuality is a sin, I will not have your blood on my hands.

What? You need to change your tune, or pitch a different note. You're all over the place with what you call music.
Sex is not a sin. You think it is. Why? It is not. God created it. Change the station. Quit listening to the Beatles. I will pray for you.

Bordering on being incoherent, but let's consider this, point by point.
1. Sex is not a sin. The first commandment given by God to man is "be fruitful and multiply". Sex is the means of fulfilling that divine command.
2. Sex does not happen independently. It is always the result of human choice.
3. Though choice of a same-sex partner may not matter to you, it matters to God.
4. People can never be happy in rebellion to God.
5. Happiness is not the good we are to seek. The glory of God is the good we are to seek. Happiness will come as a by-product.
6. On what do you base your assertion that you are a Christian? I am not disbelieving you, but would like to probe more deeply based on your very problematic post.
7. Not all humans are brothers and sisters. To affirm that they are is to render the terms "brother" and "sister" meaningless, since they would then apply to strangers as well as family. Those who belong to Christ are ADOPTED into the family of God - this implies that we were NOT FAMILY prior to adoption. As many as believe in and recieve Christ are given the ability to BECOME children of God.
8.Loving everyone is an admirable goal. We should love our neighbors (which includes everyone) as well as even our enemies.
