I am so sorry to hear that you lost your father. It truly is a hard thing to deal with. May you find strength in God and in your family members through this most difficult and painful time.

Wait what???

That funny old brother?

Sigh...Praise God that another soul has made it to the next step into glory! We will miss him! =(

Sorry for your loss. Be praying.

Stay strong Abiding daughter, he encourged many in the Scriptures and certianly this was a right thing to do. I have also lost my earthly father, and it is tough, but know if you hold fast to our Savior things will be joyful again!

Also Abidingsdaughter you can later copy and save his great posts for your family's edification. He will be missed here.

May the Lord receive him with open arms, and comfort you in this time of trial. Blessings to you and your family. Like the picture of my Avatar......he is now in Gods Hands!

:/ man, this hurts. He was a great guy to laugh with in the forums. Thanks for letting us know. Your father was a wise man. May God give your family peace in this time of mourning.

Didn't know him, but as for yourself, I think by coming here and notifying his friends, you have done what everyone here would also hope for a loved one to do if they also passed away.

Peace for your family, because you don't have to worry about his future, it will be better than his past.

1) But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

2) For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"

I'm so sorry,
he was a wonderful person he will be missed
I am so shocked and saddened by this news.
May God Bless him and his family,

He will be greatly missed by all those he blessed in here. Great personally and amazing comments. Our prayers with your family.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, [SUP]4 [/SUP]who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. [SUP]6 [/SUP]If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. [SUP]7 [/SUP]And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Dear Abidings Daughter,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a wonderful man and very blessed. He talked about you and his grandchildren a lot. Thank you for letting us know. He was so wonderful with scripture and I really enjoyed chatting with him. Prayers for your family. God Bless you!

Abiding was a loving brother. He was always there for all of us. He showed he cared often. We will miss him. But I am glad he is in a better place with our Lord Jesus. We will see him one day soon! May God keep us and take us there to be with brother Abiding. May God grant peace and comfort to his bereaving family. We will keep you in our prayers.

Ecclesiastes 12:6-7

King James Version (KJV)

6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Hes in heaven now.

AbidingsDaughter,

We will miss him. I want you to know he was a blessing to many here in our forum and in a very live way in our chat rooms, especially the BibleStudy room. I take it this was unexpected, but I believe he was "ready" in the sense that the Bible tells us to be ready, with our lives, living for the Lord.

We pray that even his passing away will glorify God and help point others to Him.

God be with you in this real loss.

AbidingsDaughter,

May you be comforted by God knowing that your Dad loved you dearly and would pray for you often. May the love of Jesus Christ be in your heart as with Abiding.

I second RoboOp's comment....Life has its detours...but remember God orders the affairs of humanity that He may b glorified...God has made a promise to all who believe in Revelations 21:1-5.....And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away: and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people, and god himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write for these words are true and faithful.
