Thoughts I had while I should have been paying attention to today's sermon:

That song they are singing is from Romans 2:4, one of my favorite verses...What? Content in all things? I'm still mulling over last week's sermon. Can I really handle anything else? My spiritual brain is full!...I am really overdue for a haircut. I look like a middle-aged Jimmy Neutron...Okay, he's just building on last week's message, no reason to panic...I'm looking forward to the first Nutcracker rehearsal on Tuesday...In keeping with our Thanksgiving tradition of having an experimental side dish, I wonder what I should do? Last year's apple/thyme/onion things was good. I like apples in savory dishes, but it was kind of "meh" with the kids.....oh, everyone chuckled at something the pastor said, I should pay better attention...Will I be able to get in a haircut by Friday, when I have to put on a tuxedo?...I like that the pastor repeats things for people like me....

umm.....Does anyone else do this?
That's happened to me alot.

Especially since I go to an evening Saturday service, and sometimes, I'm very tired and can space out. And I have really random thoughts when I'm tired.

You're doing the Nutcracker?? That's AWESOME! :D

Yesterday and today has been alot for me. But I've realized how wanted/needed I am. My family, my churches (yes, plural. I'm pretty highly involved in two different churches. Long story how that came to be), my pets (I typically feed them every morning)... but it's nice to feel needed and wanted. :)

I think that my random questions that I ask are not so random. They are only random when they come out. People don't see all the trains of thought my mind takes to get to that one station where I ask the question. When I get to the point of asking the question, it makes total sense to me because I was on that train. But for those who were only there at the last station, it seems...odd.

Sometimes it is very difficult to exercise the fruit of self-control when people callously discuss matters they clearly know not of at the expense of others.

After church my family and I went to lunch with my Pastor and some other friends from church. My Pastor and I were talking about Mary, it was a really interesting conversation and to remember how young Mary probably was when she has Jesus. How scary it would have been. It was a nice lunch and really good conversation.

You know that there is nothing more that I would love to do, but, alas, I am in the middle of a mini Doctor Who marathon.

How did I live to be 47 without ever having watched this show?

My mom...gave...GAVE...me a car. Well, the Jeep Grand Cherokee that she's been driving for the last 10 or so years. It's in great shape.

My mom surprises me a lot.

Also, she couldn't have had better timing.

So glad to see God moving in your life, and maybe seeming to support any choices you're making by providing for those needs.

Is it blue? In my mind it's blue. Even if it's NOT blue, can I pretend it is?

Noooo, it's white :p But, I guess you can pretend if you want to...though...I don't know why it matters? Do I just seem like a blue vehicle kind of person? Cuz that'd be weird.

It's an AWESOME show.

But I gotta say....as great as the 50th anniversary episode was, it disappointed me greatly at the same time.

But Doctor Who is very interesting. It's actually a pretty clean show for it being British (I know that sounds odd, but really. Typically they're really crude, and it's even cleaner in some senses than some American shows).

I dunno.... I just like it. It's as weird as it is awesome. :p

What is it with you and train metaphors? I'm still on the nope train.
