The distinction being that those sacrifices were needed as a memorial to remind people of their sin debt before GOD until the perfect sacrifice would come. Once he came there was no need for bloody reminders of the penalty for sin.

Take it up with Him.

Premillennial theology is in error.

Christ is now ruling on David’s throne (Acts 2:30-35). Believers are already in His kingdom:
Colossians 1:13 "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"

Glory Hallelujah! :D

you have a problem.

they were done until the true lamb came
they were a schoolmaster to lead us to christ.

christ came. thus the need for sacrifice has been done away with. never again will we need this.

God is not going to restor nature, where th elion and lamb sleep together, only to kill a bunch of lambs.

Suit yourself, and believe as you will.

I don’t want conjectures. Provide OT passages that state "earthly millennial reign of Christ". Thanks.

Aren't the explicit statements that 1) he will reign with his holy ones for 1000 years, and 2) the nations will surround the encampment of those people at the end of that period sufficient to show that the kingdom is indeed on earth?

And you figure that this is the best He can do?

yet according to Rom 11.

1. They are still beloved, even though they are our enemy
2. They will all be saved one day, as God removed their blindness and cleanses them.

Really? What about the ones who died in unbelief in the last 2000 years (approx)?

Paul was writing before the overthrow of the second temple. The Jewish ritual was still intact. The Jews still retained an identity. Now they do so no longer. Sorry. This obsession with the modern nation of Israel is ridiculous. No-one has any idea how many are actually descended from any of the 12 tribes as opposed to being later converts. There are probably more people descended from the 12 tribes outside Israel than who live in Israel and most of them probably don't know who they are anyway. What if it took the Jews to lose their Jewish identity altogether to become saved? "All Israel" only refers to spiritual Israel, in any case.

Have you seen the news lately about Iraq and Afghanistan?

Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Mic 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Mic 4:4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

Care to show me how this is happening?

how some people can look at a map in the back of their bibles, see "Israel" and not think it means "my town, USA"
then read the prophets, see "Israel" and interpret it as "my town, USA"
is beyond me.

hmm. thats funny

[SUP]28 [/SUP]Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.

How can Paul say they are our enemy, but loved at the same time. Is Paul telling us to hold a standard God himself will not hold?

It doesn't say that they are our enemies, but that they are GOD's enemies. The unbelieving portion are GOD's enemies through our obedience, and the believing remnant is beloved through the promises made to the fathers.

maybe you should find out what this really means:

the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills

you got sucker-punched by a clever counterfeit.
taking you in exactly the wrong direction i see.

animal sacrifices indeed.

anathema.

Paul spends chapters 9 - 10 saying
1. that being a physical descendant does not give you an automatic in.
2. That God did not make a mistake Choosing Israel
3. That God chose this nation before anyone did evil or good (it was not based on human reasoning. it was based on Gods purpose
then he spend chapter 11 telling us gentile believers not to get puffed up in Pride. that yes Israel is blinded in part. but this is a temporary blindness. And there will come a time (when the time of th egentiles is fulfilled) that ALL Israel will be saved.[/B][/COLOR]

Show me:
  • Where in Romans chapters 9-11 Paul doesn't say that only a remnant is saved
  • Where in scripture it doesn't say that only a remnant is saved

animal sacrifices indeed.

if you think Ezekiel's prophecy is entirely symbolic,
why a continual 'symbolic' animal sacrifice and not a single 'symbolic' sacrifice of the Lamb making atonement once and for all? why a priesthood of Levites and not a single high priest in the order of Melchizedek?

that's what ezekiel's temple is a picture of: JESUS CHRIST (His Sacrifice), and His Church, New Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 40:2
1In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on that same day the hand of the LORD was upon me and He brought me there. 2In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, and on it to the south there was a structure like a city. 3So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway

Revelation 21:10
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

DO you think that Ezekiel was aware of those things?

John 18:36 "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence".

Jesus never promised a literal earthly kingdom.

Wrong Starfield.

There will be a physical literal reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on this Earth. It was promised to Him in Psalm 2. I suggest you read and study it.

I get a little sick of these cuts and pastes too. Takes hours to respond to them point by point. It is getting crazy on both sides.

If people do not want to discuss, Why not just say so. Don;t try to push someone elses opinions down our throats..
l

Cool your jets. All you have to do is respond to whatever point you wish and leave it there, if that makes you feel better. For one person to respond to every point is senseless and not productive. Allow others to pick up on other points and discuss those as you see fit. Let it be a body discussion and not a discussion where o few people dominate.
