Coldest weather ever been in, and, by the way, I thought, we would be in the mid to low teens tonight but it's 7pm and it's only 25 degrees F in Seattle so i'm guessing that those of Colarabi, like mizcris and oncefell can boast of a higher temperature on what will probably be one of our coldest days all winter. :(

The coldest weather I've ever been in was -30 degrees in a little miny soda town just south of the canyadayadayada border by 50 miles, I can say I was within 1 hour speeeding distance of what's often the coldest place in the usa in winters , International Falls, that is, and ,where my grandma lived, Great Falls, Montana

But, yeah, in minnesota ; it was so coooooold.

HOw cold was it, green?

It was so cold that my snot was literally freezing inside my nostrils and it hurt to breath in the air it was so cold.
So, I can just about relate to Arwenbaggins ARkenstone's coldness there in her B.C. country. which is, incidentally only 5-6 hours north of Seattle but what a difference, eh, three hundred miles makes :D

-----------
I thought you guys, lightnin' and arwenbaggins both lived in B.C. , are my green brains wrong.

8 hours north of where you live now, lightnin' , where were you living 8 hours north of B.C., Juneau? :D

So, arwen, if lightnin' lives in B.C. then you must be living in much colde country. Another province it sounds like ? Saskatchewan is a pretty tall province, you could be living way up north in the top of that place :D
Nope, not in B.C or Saskatchewan. I'm in Manitoba. 2 hours north of the North Dakota border.

I kind of like it.
I like Dubstep, at least some of it. And, really, it's a natural evolution of his music if you think about it.
I think my aversion to dubstep is that a lot of it doesn't have as many clean vocals as I'd like, many of them are distored (on purpose of course). I'm a sucker for vocals. Which is probably why I didn't like that one as much. He used much the same style on Eon and even more so on the lucky one (but he drops censored f bombs which I don't enjoy) and I did thoroughly enjoy that EON.

But stop being right about music. You're right, it DOES fit with his older style, which means he's a trend setter who didn't get enough credit. 2 minutes 10 seconds or thereabouts... the characteristic slowdown that makes dubstep dubstep.. circa the 90's. If he'd sped it back up again it would have been dubstep.

If only I could communicate with you. I want to be able to talk to you about my feelings and thoughts. That way I wouldn't have to go through another emotional downward cycle. You seem wise in your ways, but I tell you, life in the 90's and onward, things were culturally different. I had access to a television, I watched t.v. at the same age that you had to work on a daily basis to survive out there. I don't know who raised you, or how hard they worked, but they taught you how to work til the job is finished. I was raised in a group of spoiled, lying, silly, immature, reckless, people. But I knew how to work beyond the finish line. I put in a little more effort and muscle into what I did. They pushed a button, and finished before lunch. I worked through my breaks, I work harder then need be only because I needed to prove to myself that I too can be just as strong as my companions. I pulled their weight just to keep their hands clean. To joke and gloat about how much we've done. But I never took into consideration, at the time, that you were raised to survive rather then to earn a check. And I can see the transition from you, to your daughters and sons, to us. You worked. Not to prove anything, not to say how strong you are, but because you needed the money to survive based on the culture of your time. I don't remember much about grandpa... But I do remember sitting in his room on his bed, and him standing over his little knobby television set adjusting the rabbit ears, and hunting snare wire just to catch a signal. He managed to find Cartoon Network. Through the static I could see a pirate ship struggling through some black water. I can only catch slight glimpses of him in my head. He was tall, dark and handsome. But I also remember him on his bed dying of lung cancer. He smoked. If only he had listened to you, but us males can be stubborn. I was too young to understand the concept of death and his sickness. I merely cried because everyone else, meaning your daughters and granddaughters, were crying.

I wish I could talk to you. I want a deeper relationship with you.

Ah. See, i'm a fan of distorted vocals. Depending on the style, but in many heavier styles i prefer it. Mortal being an example of an exception. I'm a sucker for vocals as well, we just approach it from different sides is all.

Yeah, he's got mad skills. I mean, he pretty much spearheaded the Christian industrial breakout. And had his hands in the majority of the biggest projects of that time. Chatterbox, Argyle Park, COD/Brainchild, his guitarist went on as Klank. So yeah, he is a trendsetter with a cult following.
That was an awesome album too. Disengage.

Woke up from sad dream tonight and cannot fall back asleep. It still lingers. I wish to change, I wish to end dreaming and hoping. One of my greatest faults is romanticism, recklessly abandon reason to my longings. I hate my personality. I wish to deny all foolish dreaming. To live only in the harsh plain reality, expect nothing good.

I fear that I will not be able to distinguish love from my infatuation/longings. A dangerous thing depending on the man. What foolish things that we do for love. What risks we take to express our love. In those movies, what is worth running towards love before it leaves on a plane? Is that love? Is that infatuation/longing? We only are privy to that scene, never what happens 2-3 years down the road- are they still in love or did they realize they made a mistake? What of Romeo + Juliet, the story would lack greatly, if they didn't die, if they settled down in a nice home in a quiet neighbourhood and had 2 kids. Or perhaps they realized that it wasn't love a month later, and thanked God that they didn't go to such extremes to be with each other.

I hate this. I hate how my mind drifts so easily towards my hearts affection. The horrible part is that it is within me, it is a part of who I am. It's not removable by surgery. Is the only remedy to endlessly deny my heart's voice, to constantly try to walk up a steep hill trying not to backslide into my thoughts and longings? Truly I am a fool to live in this dream of something more, waste time in this state of feeling. Only to serve the purpose to satisfy my desires and longings for a short while.

Why yes, yes it is :D

Me and my neighbor do this ALL the time. It tastes SOO much better when it's microwaved. But you have to eat it quick or it'll harden.

And were you referring to this page? Or the age? Or... I'm confused DX
