Why then didn't any of the apostles ever go into observing the Sabbath with the Gentiles? The Gentiles were never given the Sabbath. Why didn't Paul say one word to the Gentiles on something they were never taught? So why didn't he teach them anything in his writings about the Sabbath? Why is Paul silent on the Sabbath to all the Gentile churches? It makes no sense that if it was IMPORTANT to do so why does he specifically leave it out when writing to the gentile churches? He restates all the rest of the commandments of the 10 commandments and Christ's commands but not the Sabbath commands. If it is so important to salvation why does he leave it out to the gentile churches? Does it make sense when the gentiles were never given the Sabbath in the first place? Why doesn't Paul take the time to teach them about it?
The Messiah took the time to Teach us about the Sabbath.

The law says nothing about attending worship services on the sabbath. It says to keep the day holy by not working on it.

Many who worship on Sunday simply don't believe that keeping the sabbath under the new covenant has anything to do with observing days. So the worn out characterization that they have changed the day is pointless.
OK, we gotta go down this road again?

Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

this is to all, whatever is in your heart. it's not right telling people what they see is wrong. It's better saying, this is what i've been shown. if the way i've been living is wrong, for me, then i will see at the Great White Throne.

It is so hard to sit still and trust GOD to save you. It is against human nature. That is why so few will enter in.

thats why on judgment day, when the books are opened. And these people who worked to earn salvation by their deeds will be crying to God. "but I did all these things in your name"

And God will say depart from me/
Their works (of law) will declare their unbelief (in the work of Christ).

Leviticus 23
Feasts of the LORD
1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.

The Sabbath
3“Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the LORD in all your dwelling places.

The Passover
4“These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them. 5In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight,a is the LORD’s Passover. 6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. 7On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work. 8But you shall present a food offering to the LORD for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work.”

The Feast of Firstfruits
9And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 10“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land that I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest, 11and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, so that you may be accepted. On the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering to the LORD. 13And the grain offering with it shall be two tenths of an ephahb of fine flour mixed with oil, a food offering to the LORD with a pleasing aroma, and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, a fourth of a hin.c 14And you shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

The Feast of Weeks
15“You shall count seven full weeks from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering. 16You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the LORD. 17You shall bring from your dwelling places two loaves of bread to be waved, made of two tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour, and they shall be baked with leaven, as firstfruits to the LORD. 18And you shall present with the bread seven lambs a year old without blemish, and one bull from the herd and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 19And you shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21And you shall make proclamation on the same day. You shall hold a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work. It is a statute forever in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.

22“And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the LORD your God.”

The Feast of Trumpets
23And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 24“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall present a food offering to the LORD.”

The Day of Atonement
26And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 27“Now on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present a food offering to the LORD. 28And you shall not do any work on that very day, for it is a Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29For whoever is not afflicted on that very day shall be cut off from his people. 30And whoever does any work on that very day, that person I will destroy from among his people. 31You shall not do any work. It is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwelling places. 32It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves. On the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your Sabbath.”

The Feast of Booths
33And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 34“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month and for seven days is the Feast of Boothsd to the LORD. 35On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work. 36For seven days you shall present food offerings to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall hold a holy convocation and present a food offering to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you shall not do any ordinary work.

37“These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim as times of holy convocation, for presenting to the LORD food offerings, burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its proper day, 38besides the LORD’s Sabbaths and besides your gifts and besides all your vow offerings and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to the LORD.

39“On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the LORD seven days. On the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. 40And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. 41You shall celebrate it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All native Israelites shall dwell in booths, 43that your generations may know that I made the people of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

44Thus Moses declared to the people of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.

Yes a holy meeting between GOD and each person's family. You conveniently forgot the last verse: in all your dwellings.

See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. Exodus 16:29

Ah, here we go again.

What is the context of Ex 16:29?

Exo 16:22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
Exo 16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
Exo 16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
Exo 16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
Exo 16:27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
Exo 16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
Exo 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

Gathering their daily bread on the Sabbath. The instruction in verse 29 refers to going out to gather the day's supply of manna on the Sabbath.

Now what is context of Lev 23?

Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

How to properly keep the rest of the Holy Sabbath.

The overview is that the instruction is to keep the Sabbath, not break it. I don't understand how nitpicking the Commands of God Almighty somehow do away with them.

If love fulfills all of the law, then again we must reexamine what it means to obey the sabbath.

you mean if i just snip this bit out of the Law and stay home and read and about the feasts and the law it won't make me righteous before God?

Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

that's alright...i'm certain i can and do keep the whole law

....

4. Literally, "Ye have become void from Christ," that is, your connection with Christ has become void (Ga 5:2). Ro 7:2, "Loosed from the law," where the same Greek occurs as here.

whosoever of you are justified—"are being justified," that is, are endeavoring to be justified.

by the law—Greek, "IN the law," as the element in which justification is to take place.

fallen from grace—Ye no longer "stand" in grace (Ro 5:2). Grace and legal righteousness cannot co-exist (Ro 4:4, 5; 11:6). Christ, by circumcision (Lu 2:21), undertook to obey all the law, and fulfil all righteousness for us: any, therefore, that now seeks to fulfil the law for himself in any degree for justifying righteousness, severs himself from the grace which flows from Christ's fulfilment of it, and becomes "a debtor to do the whole law" (Ga 5:3).

The decree of the Jerusalem council had said nothing so strong as this; it had merely decided that Gentile Christians were not bound to legal observances. But the Galatians, while not pretending to be so bound, imagined there was an efficacy in them to merit a higher degree of perfection (Ga 3:3). This accounts for Paul not referring to the decree at all. He took much higher ground. - JFBBC

Yes, There are so called "easy believers" also called licentious. But these people never had faith in God or anything he said. They say a prayer and think they are saved. But never really believed it was true to begin with.

But the decieved ones are the pharisees....

You and I deserve eternal death. Where we stand right now. No matter how well we THINK we have obeyed Gods law and his commands, And what we THINK we have done for him. WE DESERVE eternal death.
...
Those who think they deserve eternal life...they refused to repent (admit this)
Agreed. Peace.

Love and good works are to be exhorted and encouraged among the fellowship of professing believers. (Hebrews 10:24-25).

We "throw the baby out with the bath water" to hinder love and good works because they might be done with with wrong motives. Love for God ought to stimulate love for neighbors.

Jesus, the Word of God, is able to discern the thoughts, intents and motives of the deceitful human heart (Hebrews 4:12, Jeremiah 17:9). He knows human hearts well and we don't. When Jesus sees human hearts in pursuit of doing love and good works, I think He sees some seeking glory and honor and self-justification for themselves and some with godly, loving, obedient hearts and better motives.

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (1 Timothy 1:5 - NASB).

Love is a goal of New Testament instruction by Paul and his co-laborers.

There is common, modern North American doctrine that actually discourages love and good works.

At the time of Jesus, Pharisees were those who quoted the Scripture and asserted doctrines that were contrary the mind and heart and will of God. In Mark 7:1-13, Jesus told the story of those Pharisees who hindered obedience to the fifth commandment: Honor your Father and your Mother.

Some modern scribes want to hinder love and good works.

There was a time when I thought those were the good ole days too. I yearned to be living back in those days instead of today. But that yearning quickly went away when I was given infinitely more than I could have ever had back then.
On second thought it reminds me of Matt 4:8-10
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'
Seriously.

love is to obey sunday worship
According to Ellen White, the day a Christian chooses to worship upon is what marks the difference between those loyal to God and those disloyal:

"The Sabbath is the great test question. It is the line of demarkation between the loyal and true and the disloyal and transgressor. ... It is the seal of the living God."5

"Thus the distinction is drawn between the loyal and the disloyal. Those who desire to have the seal of God in their foreheads must keep the Sabbath of the fourth commandment. Thus they are distinguished from the disloyal, who have accepted a manmade institution in place of the true Sabbath. The observance of God's rest day is a mark of distinction between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not."6

...

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, [Ye must] be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no [such] commandment. (Acts. 15:24)

This verse makes it abundantly clear that the Apostles never commanded their followers to "keep the law" of Moses. In this context, the law refers to all the ordinances and commands written by Moses in the Torah, including the passage where the Sabbath is described as a sign between God and Israel (Ex. 31:13,17). In fact, the Apostles considered that for Christians to attempt to observe the teachings of Moses in the Torah would be tantamount to "subverting your souls."

There is no evidence that any of the three signs of Israel (Circumcision, Passover, Sabbath observance) were ever considered "signs" of Christianity.16 On the contrary, Paul fought vigorously against enforcing the sign of circumcision upon gentile converts (see Galatians). Paul said that Christ was the fulfillment of the Passover (1 Cor. 5:7).

Obviously, new converts were expected to follow the moral teachings of Christ which are based upon and expand upon the Ten Commandments and various moral laws in the Torah. However, if Sabbath was indeed the "sign" of Christianity, then we would expect to find some mention of it in the New Testament, but there is none.

- Bible Truth vs Adventist Truth; Sabbath as the Seal of God

What does the law say? It says the sabbath was a holy convocation, and people were not to leave their dwellings. That means each family was to stay in their dwellings and remember what GOD did for them by delivering them from Egypt and making them his holy people. Simple.

(Yes, but I don't want to stay in my dwelling. Yes, but it's OK to drive to church on Saturdays. Yes, but... etc., etc., etc.)

Sorry that does not fit into your preconceived idea, but the Sabbath includes a holy public meeting. We call them worship services today.

Now let's assume you are correct (you are not, but for the sake of argument) how would this command somehow do away with the Sabbath and the keeping of it?

If God intended that we stay at home (from the usage of the word in Lev 23:3 we see that He did not, but if He did) how does that do away with the keeping of the Sabbath?

Actually the Babylon was forced upon the world and the world is ignorantly facilitating it which is why the only way out of Babylon is through the narrow gate (Christ) which is the true Sabbath rest. Placing great importance in the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath will block the narrow gate and prevent a person from entering that true rest.

When one enters that true rest they will soon discover that they have real privileges that others in Babylon do not have and it’s these privileges that Satan wants to keep people from discovering. When one enters that rest through the narrow passage way it’s like stepping off the entire planet. They will find that they are now among the very few and along with that come incredible perks…. perks that are beyond what one can receive from men. They receive diplomatic status because the Kingdom of God is real Kingdom and the King of that Kingdom will send high level emissaries to the high level authority of the kingdoms of this world with one message: "Hands off". When this happens the child of God will soon discover that all the crap that the Babylonians are going through… like some of the stuff you mentioned, does not come anywhere near him and everyday blends into one big Sabbath Day.
Actually the Babylon was forced upon the world and Christians are not so ignorantly facilitating it. Sunday shopping for instant.
The other thing I don't understand is why 7th day rest is so offensive to you. Is resting offensive to you? Would it be less offensive if one takes sunday off? Monday?
