Actually, in practice, we probably both get looked at funny...

But oh well, let them all stare!!

As in the days of old
The glory fills the temple of the Lord

We are your temple
We are your temple

The burning deep inside of my heart
These lips adorned with praise
My hands raised in worship lost
In the wonder of your ways
Come now and take your place Lord
Bring forth new winds of change
Set our lives ablaze with fire
Bring down your heavenly rain

We are your temple

Burn away the darkness of sin
Fill these hands with seeds of truth
Show the path and I will follow
Let your spirit lead me through

This hunger taking over my life
This thirst for heavenly ways
These eyes are filled with visions
This heart your dwelling place
Come reign here Holy Spirit
Bring forth a storm of change
Set our tongues ablaze with fire
Bring down Your heavenly glory
Glory

You made these hands
Now take these hands
Lord fill these hands
Lord fill these hands with seeds of truth

Bring your fire down!
Glory
Fire
Power
Shekinah

Earlier still remains. I actually like their second album with the extra synth, but I think this might almost fit the criteria for metalcore Ugly doesn't hate.

There's some pretty cool stuff going on in this song.

That music is pretty sweet, but the singing ruined it. Especially 2/3 in when he started singing like a Bee Gee. Unfortunately, silence did not prevail with the singer. Oh, Howard Jones from KsE would sound awesome with this band.

A lot of the older metalcore was better. But kind of at the peak of Heartache era KsE is when the style became cookie cutter and stopped growing. I love old Zao, for example. Some of the old bands the straddled the fence of hardcore and metalcore. But once metalcore took on its own genre is when it failed.
I remember Still Remains and wasn't a fan. But that was around the time i was starting to grow confused by and tired of metalcore. With the glaring exception of The Triptych by DH which was probably my favorite album the year it came out.

i'm involved in a group in the church we attend that's been reading through the bible. this week we finished Hosea, so..

And she conceived again and bore a daughter. Then God said to him: "Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, But I will utterly take them away."

(Hosea 1:6)

Lo - Ruhamah

means "not loved" or "no mercy" or "without compassion"

... yeah i tried to tell the pastor/teacher about this band, but he just mumbled something about Switchfoot and his wife started talking about Skillet, and my wife just laughed..

we may never meet each other in the flesh, but i'm glad i found you guys on the forum, and in this thread.

it wouldn't be right to post this without also mentioning:

I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one (Lo-Ruhamah).’
(Hosea 2:23)

I have read most, but yeah 81 pages isn't easy to keep track of.
i try to search the thread for a bandname before i post but i'm not sure if it catches the name just from a vid, if it's not mentioned in text in the body of post too.

Ironically their second release was less cookie cutter than their first. More synth involved and it had a nice (albeit softer) sound.

I saw a new heaven and earth,
for the first heaven and earth had passed away
and the sea is no more
I saw the holy city,
New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven
And he will dwell with them, and they will be his people

Behold, I'm making all things new
I am the Alef and the Tav, the Beginning and the End
I will give freely to him who's thirsty for the spring of water of life
He who overcomes, I will give these things
I will be his God, and he will be my son

Behold, I come quickly
My reward is with me,
to repay to each man according to his work
Blessed are those who do his commandments,
that they may have the right to the tree of life
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity?

Behold, I'm making all things new
I am the Alef and the Tav, the Beginning and the End
I will give freely to him who's thirsty for the spring of water of life
He who overcomes, I will give these things
I will be his God, and he will be my son
(x2)

Haha yeah I agree. I wasn't particularly sold on the vocals, but like what the gat and drums are doing.

That's the thing, I'm pretty sure it doesn't catch vids in search only text. Would be nice if it did though.

This reminds me of a similar problem I now have thanks to the internet. I used to happily buy an album(tape/cd), and listen to it start to finish several times without a second thought. Now I can download(legally, cough) whatever songs from any band I want, and make a compilation instead of buying a whole album that will no doubt have some songs that don't interest me. Its like having the freedom to pick only the choice bits that catch your attention at any time.

Alas I am guilty of doing that a bit, but I prefer to support a band by buying their full album when possible. What do you guys think?

Missed this yesterday.

Stayin aliiiiiive!!!!

But... it's almost like it's not singing at all, but talking. Except the off key parts...

The rest of it is pretty well done, they just need a new lead singer.

I'm a full blown downloader. I haven't bought music in years. Not that i'm against it. I just don't have the money. If i had the money i'd pay for everything happily.
